High ceilings with a grand foyer staircase leads up to two large bedroom suites (located on the Upper Level), plus an open 3rd bedroom area with a stellar windowed cupola. One bedroom suite has a wood-burning granite fireplace with a walk-in closet, and a half bath (toilet & sink). The second bedroom suite features a large closet, plus a full bath (shower, toilet & sink). All three bedrooms have queen-sized beds complete with luxury linens and comfy, fresh pillows. Both bathrooms are outfitted with luxury towels and some basic toiletries that you may need during your stay. Note that the 2 bathrooms are located on the second story, on the bedroom level.

Our Cleaning Practices:
Prior (and after) your visit, we bring in a professional cleaning team that not only thoroughly cleans every room/space, but also disinfects all surfaces and touch points. We also provide you with essential cleaning products, laundry detergent, and disinfectants for you to use during your stay. The sheets, bedding (comforters, duvet covers, blankets, pillow protectors, mattress pads) and towels are washed at 205 degrees w/ bleach (note that this is 7 degrees shy of 212 degrees boiling point), so any potential bacteria/viruses are potentially eliminated during the wash process. The sheets and duvet covers are also professionally pressed at high heat, and each bed will be prepared and ready for your arrival. Note that we use TWO layers of pillow protectors, in addition to the pillow cases for your added protection and cleanliness.

We can also provide an additional cleaning service DURING your stay, if you'd like (the additional cleaning fee will apply), just let me know and I would be happy to make that arrangement. The dishes/glassware/silverware will be washed at a high temperature in a 3 hour dishwasher cycle. The refrigerator will also be cleaned and disinfected. The floors will be cleaned with hot water and vinegar. The bathroom sinks/toilets/shower will be bleached clean and disinfected.

We have stocked the carriage house with some basic toiletries, toilet paper, paper towels, garbage/recycling bags, cleaning products, laundry detergent, coffee filters, etc. so you should only need to bring your food and clothing : )

This large bedroom looks over our beautiful back yard. Set in rural Redding you will love the peace and quiet . The 40 foot upstairs room is divided by sliding wood doors that gives you a work or eating area while somebody else sleeps or watches the smart TV.
We are only a little over 1 hour from NYC but with out any noise.
There is a tennis court and basket ball court behind house. We are walking distance to a scenic waterfall. also 5 minutes by car to Huntington state park with its miles of walking trails. Located 12 minutes from Bethel ...18 minutes from Danbury and 21 from Fairfield

— PET RULES: Please pick up waste from pets. Damage caused by pets will be subject to replacement costs. $250 per pet fee for any non-disclosed pets brought on the property.

— NO PARTIES OR EVENTS: Maximal number of guests allowed is 3. $500 fine against the rule. Cops will be called and legal actions will be taken if you host an event or throw a party at our property. — QUIET HOURS: 8 pm to 8 am. Keep outside noise low during this time, and please move conversations inside. The home is located in a family setting and is only suitable for families, business professionals, and quieter groups. Please be respectful of the owners and the neighbors. The Space:
Seemingly plucked from the English countryside, Meeker Hill House is a charming escape just 90 minutes from NYC. With stunning gardens, open meadows with views, and stylish interiors, this comfortable home is the ideal gathering space year-round, but especially so in the warmer months with the pool open!

Pulling into the driveway which wraps around a charming Japanese maple tree, enter through the unique and stunning cast-iron doors into the primary living floor. The entire floor has lovely detailing like exposed beams and original fireplaces, and has great flow from room to room and is flooded with natural light. Cozy up in the inviting living room beside the grand stone fireplace. The open flow lets into the dining room set beside bay windows overlooking the meadow. Between both rooms is a stunning paneled french door with even better views of the stone patio and backyard (more on that in a moment).

The chef’s kitchen has a massive 10-foot island, perfect for joining the cook for an unforgettable time in this adorable kitchen with skylights and country charm with top-of-the-line appliances. Finishing off the main living level is a powder room just off the kitchen and a mudroom with an alcove desk for some work-from-home needs if you must.

The second level has three bedrooms, each with an en-suite bathroom. The primary suite is an expansive room with a king-sized bed and charming details like a stone fireplace and picture windows with lovely sunrise views over the yard. In the primary bedroom is a stunning full bathroom with duel sinks, a rain-shower, and a clawfoot tub. Adjacent to the bathroom is a full walk in closet. A twin bed has been added to the walk-in closet, creating the perfect sleeping space for parents with little ones, allowing them to stay close.

The other two bedrooms are both queen-sized beds with warm and soothing palettes, each has their own full en-suite bathroom with a walk-in shower. Rounding out the upper floor is full laundry room.

Outdoors is where the true fun begins in warmer weather. The expansive flagstone patio overlooks the gunite pool and can easily entertain your entire group with lounge chairs and outdoor dining beside a bbq. A cozy screened-in porch off the living room is also a lovely place to relax under some shade to read a book or even get some work done to the sounds of chirping birds. Stepping down from the patio is the aforementioned pool, a true stunner with acres of meadow views and absolute privacy. Swim amongst the gardens as if you are transported to the fields of England. Enjoy the walking trails in the yard with a firepit at the far end, star gaze while roasting marshmallows, a true country experience!

Being 90 minutes from NYC, Meeker Hill is the perfect summer getaway or home base with the ability to commute back to the city seamlessly. The surrounding town of Redding is equally as charming, and surprisingly has the best bagel place in the tri-state area!

Getting Around:
Meeker Hill House is less than 90 minutes from New York City and under 3 hours from Boston, and while you'll definitely want a car to get there and around the area, there is also a Metro-North station in Redding just 15 minutes away. In the winter, we recommend a car with four-wheel drive that can handle the snow and gravel roads.

Other Things to Note:
* Please note that the pool is available during the summer season only. Please inquire regarding opening and closing dates.

- "We have stayed here twice, in April 2023 and April 2024. We had some pressing issues both times—clogged showers. The management company sent a plumber promptly and unclogged the showers. There are other issues with the house, which, all put together, make for a less than ideal stay. There are numerous windows with issues—broken gutters hanging down, gaps in the window panes, broken window frames, etc. I reported all this last year but I do not think any repairs were made. The room adjoining the master bedroom has a twin daybed advertised as being the perfect spot for a child. But there are two huge windows in that room and not a single covering over the windows. Nothing. It is exceedingly bright in there in the morning starting at 6:30 am, and tons of cold air comes right through the old windows. There is not any place in the bedrooms to put your stuff. No shelves. No hangers in the closets. No luggage racks. Not even tables. There are closet rods in closets, but no hangers and not any place to unpack. We were not given ANY washcloths and only 1 hand towel for 6 people. We asked what type of coffee maker, and the management company said Nespresso. If you are bringing pods, the machine takes the original size of pods. There is also a drip coffee maker—which had old, moldy, dried-out grounds still in it! There was quite a surprising amount of food in the fridge. Not the condiments you’d expect, but opened hummus, open yogurt, slices of cheese, veggies."

- "This is definitely NOT a villa! The area is great but the property was weird. The Owner was very poor on communication, we arrived entered the door code he provided after 4 requests the previous days. The code worked but the doorknob was locked also. I messaged the owner who did not reply for 4 hours! Luckily we searched around the outside of the house and found a back entrance with the same code. The reservation stated we had children but we found very fragile items on low tables, and a butcher knife resting on a art installation in the foyer! There were unsecured prescription meds in the cabinets and loose lying around. On the good side, it was a large house for a large group but we did have to rearrange our expectations as the listing stated a single futon in the office and a single futon in the LR, neither of which existed. They were both loveseat size sofas that did not convert to anything. We had 5.5 bathrooms that had 3 bathtubs but only one of them had a working faucet. When my daughter went to give the children a bath, the shower curtain rods fell on her head as it seemed they were newly (and poorly) installed shower curtains. As far as cleanliness, a few high priority items were lacking. The LR loveseat and upstairs double bed both smelled of urine and required several covering of sheets (luckily found in a closet) to be useable. The shower in master downstairs bedroom was smelly and moldy. This bathroom also contained one of the unusable tubs.More"

Setting at a high point in Redding affords views of the sun all the way to Sunset for which the road is named. Huntington Park with it's lakes and ponds, hiking trails and 1000 acres to explore abutts the back yard.
Take an afternoon to take a kyack or canoe trip on the large lake in the park. Relax on the covered front porch or the back patio or curl up in the living room. A first floor primary suite has a walkin closet and full bath and a shower and a deep tub.
The kitchen has double wall ovens and a countertop gas range with plenty of counter space for prep and an island with 2 stools. A laundry room is on the main level away from the primary bedroom.
You can cook the gourmet meal and eat it in the dining room or breakfast nook or out on the patio.

The space
The River House Boat is nestled along the Pootatuck River. It has a queen sized bed and a screened in porch with two rocking chairs.

It is important to note that this is the only cabin located down at the base of the mountain. With the convenience of close parking and electric also comes the occasional hustle and bustle of activity.

The cabin is located near the main stone barn where we host many different kinds of events so it's important to keep in mind there may be noise from a drum circle or the bustle of people attending a workshop. Your cabin has lot's of privacy but not as much as our other cabins that are located up in the woods.

The outdoor kitchen is nearby with a stove, grill, drinking water, a sink with running water (not potable), sponge and soap for washing/cooking.
The outdoor kitchen has electricity but no refrigerator. We provide a cooler and ice if needed. There is a french press available. Make sure your coffee is pre-ground.

The basics for grilling, utensils, cups and plates are all provided as is salt, pepper and oil. There is a gas BBQ grill available. Please be aware that we provide blocks of ice in the coolers but if you will want ice cubes you'll need to purchase those elsewhere. We provide dish towels and paper towels.
A head lamp is recommended to aid nighttime cooking (especially grilling), but the kitchen does have lighting.

It is very important that you do not leave food out unattended. Birds, mice squirrels, raccoons etc. will very likely get into it. Even food that is in a plastic bag is at risk so your best bet is to keep everything in the cooler.

We do not have food for purchase available on the property. All of the produce grown in our organic garden goes to local food banks. There is a grocery store two miles away. The local Monroe Farmer's Market is open every Friday starting June 17th from 3 pm to 6pm. It is located on the corner of 7 Fan Hill road and route 111.

Trash and Recycling:
There is trash and recycling available at each cabin. We ask that when you check out from your cabin you ensure that your trash is in the can and the lid is fitted. If you’ve made more then can fit in the can please use the spare bags provided and leave them in the cabins. If they are left outside animals may rip the bags open and strew trash around. We really appreciate you keep your recycling clean and separate from your trash. Everything can be left at your campsite and we will retrieve it. If you replace batteries during your stay please don’t put them in the trash. If you leave them out we can properly dispose of them at our transfer center.

Lighting:
The House Boat has electricity both in the cabin and in the kitchen. You may want more light than this so we recommend that you bring additional lanterns but please keep in mind that we DO NOT ALLOW CANDLES or other flame sourced lighting.

Cars:
When you arrive you will be able to park in either the right or left lots. Your cabin is just a hundred feet from here. You will not be able to park right at your cabin.

Bathroom and Shower:
There is a private outhouse located near the cabin.
The showers are outdoors and are heated with an on demand propane heater and located a 3 minute walk away. We provide one towel and one wash cloth per guest. We implore you to be water conscious as it comes from our spring and thus is from a limited source. Please know that our showers are located behind the area we call "Middle Earth" which is for all intents and purposes our workshop area. We store tools and machines here. Please try to use environmentally friendly bath products such as castille soap.

Fires:
There is a bonfire pit located near your cabin. Fire wood is available to purchase by cash at $1/log. If you bring wood it MUST be purchased in Connecticut per state law.

In the unlikely event that we are having a particularly dry summer and there is a state wide fire ban, we will be enforcing this. We also ask that if it is extremely windy you refrain from having fires.

Fires can ONLY be made in designated fire pits and must be extinguished properly with either water or sand. Please this is very important as even a fire that looks out can spread sparks if a wind picks up.

Cell Service and WiFi:
There is complimentary wifi at the base of the mountain:
Sticksandstonesguest and the password is lovehasahomehere.
Verizon gets service at the base of the mountain and immediate area.
You will be able to get wifi in your cabin. Please keep in mind that as you approach the farm you may lose service. This can affect your ability to contact us. For this reason it is very important that you text us when you are 20-30 minutes away.

Dogs:
As this is a refugee for wildlife we humbly ask that you don’t bring dogs or other pets unless you require a service animal. We ask that you let us know you will be bringing a service animal.

Check in:

Early check ins as well as late check outs are free and welcome as long as the request is made at the time of booking. We host a summer camp here so if you arrive during pickup on a Friday at 3pm it will be crowded. It’s not a problem just a heads up. We will plan to meet you to check you in.

Check out protocol:

You will notice that we don’t have a cleaning fee, for this reason we ask everyone to strip their beds of linens and place them, along with towels, in the laundry bags provided. This is both a covid safety practice for us as well as a way to keep our cost lower for you. Additionally we also ask you not to leave dirty dishes.

Please make sure that the battery powered lights are switched off. Batteries are expensive so we want to conserve them when we can!

Please make sure you have left payment for any firewood used. There is also a paper in there for you to leave feedback as well as letting us know if anything was damaged during your stay.

Please make sure your cabin door is closed. If you had a morning fire please make sure it is properly extinguished.

Please check that the grills propane tank is tightened off and the cover is on the grill.

Please make sure you aren’t taking our lamps with you!

Check out time is 12, we appreciate getting a text to let us know you’ve left.

There are two roaming cats that live here, Goji and Nella. They are very friendly, too friendly in some people's opinion ; )

There are no dangerous animals living in the woods. Even if on the very, very rare chance there is a black bear they are quite timid creatures. Sometimes at night you can hear distant coyotes but they will not bother you.

The space
About the Cabin:
Our hand-built log cabin is made from Tulip Poplar trees from the surrounding land. It is nestled up our mountain in the woods next to our spring. Please keep in mind that because this is a log cabin there are not a lot of windows. Upstairs has skylights and a large window and down stairs has two large windows and a glass door in the back. THERE IS NO ELECTRICITY IN THIS CABIN.

It has two floors and a deck for lounging and stargazing. The deck has a table with chairs and behind the cabin is a sitting area with an additional table, chairs and propane grill. There is a fire pit just off the back of the cabin as well.

Downstairs there are two couches, a small pullout couch, a dining table with chairs, a queen size bed and a few board games.

There is a sink just outside the cabin for washing dishes. The water at the sink is not potable. There is a propane powered stove, counter space, table and chairs, basic kitchen supplies, salt/pepper, olive oil, large cooler (BRING YOUR OWN ICE), and 5 gallons of drinking water .

There is a french press available, make sure your coffee is pre-ground.
There is a gas BBQ grill but no oven.

Some cabins also have solar lights set up. If it has been cloudy for a few days they probably won’t work well and even if it has been sunny they won’t have enough juice to stay on all night. They turn on automatically at dusk and shut off at dawn or when they run out of juice.

The SHARED composting toilet (no water) is not located in the cabin but rather a 1-2 minute walk away.
The showers are outdoors and are heated with an on demand propane heater and located a 2-3 minute walk away.

Please try to use environmentally friendly bath products such as castille soap. We do not provide any shower products.

There is complimentary wifi at the base of the mountain (Sticks and Stones Guest) and the password is lovehasahomehere. There is a charging station for phones as well. Verizon and really only verizon get service at the base of the mountain and immediate area. Most other carriers get service at the top of the hill where the cabins are located... but alas no charging stations up there!
You will not be able to connect to the wifi from your cabin. Please keep in mind that as your approach the farm you may lose service. This can affect your gps and your ability to contact us. For this reason it is very important that you text us when you are 20-30 minutes away.

Dogs:

True service animals are protected by the law and are considered working animals and guests themselves. We only ask that you let us know you will be bringing a service animal.

We will message you the morning of your check in day for your approximate eta. We ask that you keep us posted if your travel time changes and that you send us a final message when you are 20-30 minutes away. This is very important as we do not have a staffed check in desk. If you don’t text us we won’t know to stop what we are doing and come to the barn to meet you.
When you arrive you can park on either the right or left lot and walk on up to the stone barn for a meet and greet.
We understand traffic and unforeseeable circumstances happen so we ask that you do your best to keep us updated and arrive between our 2pm and 9 pm window.

For the vast majority of people that come here it's dreamy and fun for a few people it's disappointing and derelict. If you think you may fall into the disappointed category then perhaps a quaint New England bed and breakfast is a better fit. <3

Extended Stay Guests: in your closet you will find cleaning supplies. Emergency toiletries for all guests are located in the bathroom, should you be unable to get to the store and need an item or two. Toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, garbage bags, paper plates foil and small bags etc are included in your initial check in. You will need to replenish these supplies as needed and replenish on departure. Sheets and towels will be exchanged weekly in the laundry basket for you to remake the bed. Cleaning supplies are in your closet to tidy the room and we will request access to vacuum once every two weeks.

Please note: damaged and or stained or missing items will be charged accordingly.

Guest have access to the entire cottage with the exception of the "barn door" which houses maintenance materials. We may access this during your stay if necessary. The space
The Nature Retreat house is a two-story home located in Redding, Connecticut, Fairfield County, that is nestled against the Redding Land Trust (RLT), adjacent to the property of the celebrated author, Mark Twain. The house is surrounded by protected forest, peaceful woodlands and wetlands, ponds, streams and open meadows. Renters can safely disconnect from a highly connected world and reconnect to an inner source of balance on this beautiful 2-acre based property. Numerous hiking trails are in town including one just down the street. Great restaurants and breweries a short drive away. Ridgefield and Bethel town centers are 20 minutes away.

Two upstairs bedrooms and a downstairs convertible couch can accommodate a maximum of 4 adults upstairs and two small children (or one adult) on the convertible couch. An inflatable mattress can be provided for children wishing to sleep upstairs with the adults. Inquire regarding availability prior to stay. A small amount of toys and books are also available for young children.

A third upstairs room is used by the owners when there are no tenants, and remains locked. The garage is also used by the owners.

A clothes washer and dryer are free to use in the basement. Guests will be provided with a new bar of bath soap for the shower, shampoo, two rolls of toilet paper per bathroom, hand soap in each bathroom, dishwasher detergent and roll of paper towels.

Parking is available outdoors on the driveway next to the house. The garage is used by the owner for storage and is not accessible. The closest train station is the Branchville stop off the Danbury line of MetroNorth, 3 miles away. *** Please note this is a country house with rustic exterior steps that may be challenging for individuals with disabilities. ***

Other things to note
We live in an area where wildlife is plentiful. Deer, coyotes, foxes, and the occasional bear are in the area and there are occasional sightings around the property . We love our furry friends, but unfortunately, they do bring ticks. Ticks, which like wooded, leafy areas where wildlife roam, are most active between April and September. We strongly advise spraying with cedar spray or another alternative before venturing out for walks and play outside. We also strongly advise guests to check themselves thoroughly for ticks twice a day. We provide cedar spray for guest use.

Skylights, windows, and doors connect you with nature. Media-free, pet-free, and shoe-free. This laid-back retreat resides in one of Connecticut’s most bucolic and protected villages.

The space
Enter by back door keypad into a bright, open living space. 12-foot peaked ceiling with hand scraped beams, accentuated by four large skylights and fireplace (built by original owner Baekeland Roll from stones on this property), the light-flooded great room brings zen. The fully-equipped Farrow & Ball/Bertazzoni kitchen features Portuguese dish-wear, mid-century Italian etched bar wear, and a few family treasures. Ascend a few stairs to two well-appointed bedrooms with comfortable Queen beds, each with natural light and a reading chair. Laundry closet and bright bathroom with spacious walk-in rain shower and skylight. Bright front bedroom features closet and full length mirror. Cozy Brookside bedroom boasts sights of the falls and convertible workspace. Each room is individually heated and cooled by HVAC (remote control in each room). The main living area has concealed climate control via a wall-mounted touch digital thermostat.
The cabin is uninsulated and it can get cold. During frigid winter visits, baseboards and fire are necessary to keep the cabin warm. Cabin features strong 1GIG WiFi and access to Sonos. Intimate (1,000sf) home away from home perched 15’ above a meandering brook, varying in character through the seasons and with weather conditions. (Generally very low in August and grows from there.) We sit roughly 50’ off of a casually traveled country road, where neighboring houses are barely visible. Back is completely private. (Redding properties are zoned upwards of 2 acres.) The Zen Cabin is best suited for adult guests & couples, mindful of the rugged exterior and simple, peaceful interior. Meditate, practice vinyasa, or enjoy a glass of wine on the stone patios overlooking nature.

Parking is easy; there is a large parking area next to the cabin. Guests should not park or walk too closely to drops on property that lead to water and unstable rocky areas below. Access is through keypad. Inquire about specific access needs.

IMPORTANT DISCLOSURES:
$500 Security deposit collected a few days before checking in. PRIOR to booking, guests share who will be staying, purpose of stay and disclose potential day guests. As a special educator, the benefits of emotional support animals and the necessities of service animals are respected. However, due to extreme respiratory risk on my part, a medical condition that sometimes requires hospitalization, our home (which we also use) is documented as exempt under “LIMITED HEALTH & SAFETY CIRCUMSTANCES.” We unfortunately do not allow pets.

Three days prior to your arrival, AirBnB shares "Check-in Instructions" with you, via your AirBnB app. This includes detailed instructions for entering the cabin and a "Guest Manual" to make your stay easy. The manual has a few helpful suggestions while visiting the area (we edit as we learn ourselves!) as well as important house information, such as WiFi. If, for some reason, technology disappoints, just reach out a day or so before and I will share with you. Hard copy is located in cabin, in the top drawer of the kitchen island.

Rudy & I choose guests on a case by case basis, hence the inquiry. Most of our guests simply need a breather, so we offer our space. If we feel your needs may be better met elsewhere, we’ll respectfully decline. If expecting an instant-book AirBnB business, this is definitely not the listing. We do not allow hosting of events or of guests who have not been discussed.

IMPORTANT***The flow of Moffit's Brook varies with the seasons (and sometimes the weather.) It tends to be strong during Winter & Spring months. During late Summer & early Fall, the flow tends to be gentle. Nature is unpredictable and you’re welcome to inquire.

The space
Seemingly plucked from the English countryside, Meeker Hill House is a charming escape just 90 minutes from NYC. With stunning gardens, open meadows with views, and stylish interiors, this comfortable home is the ideal gathering space year-round, but especially so in the warmer months with the pool open!

Pulling into the driveway which wraps around a charming Japanese maple tree, enter through the unique and stunning cast-iron doors into the primary living floor. The entire floor has lovely detailing like exposed beams and original fireplaces, and has great flow from room to room and is flooded with natural light. Cozy up in the inviting living room beside the grand stone fireplace. The open flow lets into the dining room set beside bay windows overlooking the meadow. Between both rooms is a stunning paneled french door with even better views of the stone patio and backyard (more on that in a moment).

The chef’s kitchen has a massive 10-foot island, perfect for joining the cook for an unforgettable time in this adorable kitchen with skylights and country charm with top-of-the-line appliances. Finishing off the main living level is a powder room just off the kitchen and a mudroom with an alcove desk for some work-from-home needs if you must.

The second level has three bedrooms, each with an en-suite bathroom. Outdoors is where the true fun begins in warmer weather. The expansive flagstone patio overlooks the gunite pool and can easily entertain your entire group with lounge chairs and outdoor dining beside a bbq. A cozy screened-in porch off the living room is also a lovely place to relax under some shade to read a book or even get some work done to the sounds of chirping birds. Stepping down from the patio is the aforementioned pool, a true stunner with acres of meadow views and absolute privacy. Swim amongst the gardens as if you are transported to the fields of England. Downstairs you'll find the home theater, sauna, therapy light, and small exercise room. You also have access to the backyard & rooftop decks, plus the big woodland park that abuts the property. Your room contains a comfy queen bed, dresser, and closet. Besides a lovely secluded forest view, your bathroom includes plenty of fluffy organic cotton towels, natural soap, shampoo, and conditioner, and a luxurious multi-head shower with steam option.

Guest access
The house is yours for your stay. You can use anything in the fully-equipped kitchen including cookware, appliances, condiments and spices, and coffee implements. Grill using the Weber on the back deck, or just use the one in the kitchen range. Make yourself at home in the living and dining rooms, outdoor decks and yard, and feel free to use the home theater, sauna, and exercise room. You have the house to yourself, but won’t be able to access the garage, master bedroom, or attached apartment. There is a very nice coffee grinder and a coffeemaker that brews at ideal temperature. Note that you are also welcome to use the espresso machine, but it’s a semi-automatic heat exchanger type that is a bit temperamental and not the simplest to operate.

Our five-bedroom house is the perfect retreat for large families or groups of friends looking to relax and explore the area. The house is about an hour and a half drive from NYC.

The space
Inside, you'll find a grand open-plan living and dining area, filled with plenty of natural light. The fully-equipped kitchen boasts modern appliances and plenty of counter space for cooking and entertaining. Each of the five bedrooms has comfortable beds that will leave you and your guests well-rested, and there are two full bathrooms and a half bathroom in the main house and an additional full bathroom in the pool room.

Step outside, and you'll find a backyard oasis, complete with a sparkling heated pool and plenty of space for lounging and sunbathing. The park entrance is just a short drive away, perfect for a morning jog or an afternoon picnic.

The space
We offer 13 rooms of luxury and comfort. 6 zones of HVAC, gourmet kitchen fully equipped, seven sofas, 6 flat screen TV's w/ full cable. We have stone patios w/fire pit, large grill, and outdoor seating. Dining table for 18, great room off the kitchen is perfect for entertaining. 6 bedrooms, all large with amazing beds and bedding. This house is not your norm, it has history, totally renovated with additions and full custom renovation. Every room has a wonderful feel with quality furniture and art. We are a great property for family gatherings, romantic get-a-ways, & business conferences.

Guest access
You will have the use of the entire house and property. Lots of parking with 3.5 acres of lawn and gardens.

We do allow a pet with approval and a small pet fee.

Gorgeous and sprawling shingle style country home on two acres in coveted West Redding with pool. Located on a lovely and very private lot just 60 miles outside of NYC; a Metro North station (Redding) is located <2 miles from the home.

Our home lends itself to be a wonderful space to gather with loved ones and friends, both inside and outdoors. You will have easy access to shops, restaurants, and activities in Ridgefield, Georgetown, and greater the Fairfield County.

The space
Built in 1968, our property has been completely remodeled and expanded to meet your modern needs.

The kitchen acts as the heart of the home - the expansive layout is finished with solid marble countertops, a Lacanche gas range (seven burners, grill, and two 2 ovens), side-by-side SubZero fridge/freezer, two Bosch dishwashers, and a sizeable kitchen island that seats six.

Off the kitchen is the large raised deck, overlooking the gunite pool and spectacular professionally landscaped plants, flowering bushes, and mature trees. The outdoor area is enhanced with fruit trees, scenic stonewalls, and exterior lighting. The entire backyard is fully fenced. Please note, the pool is only guaranteed to be open for bookings Memorial Day through Labor Day.

On the main level, you will also be able to enjoy our cozy den/family room with a gas burning fire place and 75" television. Behind French doors, we have an office space with a full desk set-up.

There is also the oversized beamed great room with a massive 20ft wide floor-to-ceiling fieldstone fireplace on the main level; the perfect area to congregate with your family and friends. Here we have a 12ft dining table that will comfortably seat all of your group.

Off the foyer, there is one powder-room on the ground floor. The remaining three bathrooms are located upstairs.

Upstairs you will find four lovely en-suite bedrooms (two share a Jack & Jill bathroom), all equipped with fresh towels and sheeting alonside shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and hand soap in each bathroom.

Unfurnished but accessible: a three-season porch, a large sunny cathedral ceiling rec room over the attached garage, and a basement with a full washer and dryer guests are free to use.
