With 2 bedrooms and a loft it sleeps 8 with 2 queen beds, 2 double beds, all lines provided. 1 full bath with towels provided. Kitchen is foodie ready, stocked with staples (coffee, flour, sugar, salt, pepper, spices), newer pots/pans, microwave, 4 burner GE gas stove, fridge, coffee pot, toaster, blender. Large Knotty Pine living room with 50" flat screen internet/smart TV, Blu-Ray player, selection of Blu Ray movies, and bar area for relaxing/card playing. Internet/ WIFI provided. Log Home on Sandy Beach is a beautiful western red cedar log home that is located on Lake Huron, one of the 5 Great Lakes. Lake Huron provides both crashing waves and calm seas and is great for swimming, fishing and just viewing.

This log home has a fully-equipped kitchen with a full size stove/oven, refrigerator, and dish washer. The kitchen has all the cooking pots and pans, dishes and utensils you need to prepare and enjoy your home cooked meals. And there is a gas grill on the deck, providing you with great views of Lake Huron while you are grilling.

- "The pictures of the house don't do it justice. It's better than the photos show. There's TONS of room. We stayed here for a week with our extended family. We had 10 adults and 8 children (6mths -12yrs). We spent the days on the beach exploring the rocks, kayaking the water, and enjoying the decks. The evenings were spent sitting around a fire and playing in the game room. There was enough room for us all to share meals in the kitchen and cook without ever feeling crowded. We were able to put the little kids to bed upstairs and still stay awake downstairs without bothering them. There is enough seating for everyone. The upstairs loft area with the pull out couches is massive. The kitchen has everything you could need when it comes to cooking. The cleaning closet was stocked with everything we needed (even though we brought all our own). There wasn't a pack n play or high chair (but we brough our own so this wasn't an issue). A quick drive down to Harrisville for ice cream, playground, and live music was nice. The nearby dinosaur park was a huge hit with the kids. Alpena was a 30 min drive away for a mid week Meijer trip. There was plenty of extra blankets to use for throw blankets while we sat on the deck in the evening. I wish I could attach photos because it seriously was the best house/location. This house had it all and has TONS of space for large groups to have their own space and still spend time together. We all agreed we would definitely be back. Love this space!"

Beautiful small cabin overlooking a working trout pond. Listen to the small waterfalls from silver creek into the pond. Cabin has amazing views and hiking trails into the national forest and we can’t wait to have you here. Be advised, cellphone service is very limited with most carriers and we do have wifi. Rainbow trout have just been refilled for the year and the owner feeds them daily, it’s such a great experience to watch them. They will swim right around the back deck, there’s also a fire pit in the front yard, very peaceful.

Our home is minutes from one of Hubbard Lake’s most popular sandbars (Sucker Creek), several restaurants, a general store, and only 30 minutes away from downtown Alpena. Between swimming, fishing, water sports, golfing, snow-mobiling, and hiking, there’s something here for any couple, family, or group of friends.
