Located just walking distance away from the Crown District, there’s an abundance of dining, drinking, & activities for all to enjoy. We are located just 1 mile from Tower Grove Park, the second largest park in St. Louis.
We offer a comfy place to stay, fully stocked with anything you may need. Just give us a shout if you need recommendations or anything else that would make your stay even more pleasant!
This apartment is a unit of a 1930s duplex. We have tried our best to maintain the original beauty of this older home. It has a vintage aesthetic, with original cabinetry, wall tile, & (some) fixtures. We hope you can lean into the gingerbread cottage feel & enjoy taking a trip back in time.
With any older home, you can expect some quirks. Consider waiting a second before entering the shower after flushing the toilet to prevent getting blasted with hot water. We are also getting a piece of baseboard made in the dining room to match the original, so a small portion is currently missing. We believe in transparency, so if you have any questions or concerns about this space, please let us know!

Ridesharing (Uber, Lyft) and taxi services are also available. There is street parking in front of the house, as well as a dedicated parking pad for 2 cars in the back (alley access) if you are bringing or renting a car.

Tower Grove South is a diverse and eclectic neighborhood. It is flanked by two popular commercial districts located along Morgan Ford to the west and South Grand to the east. From funky neighborhood bars to haute ethnic cuisine (Ethiopian, Persian, Vietnamese, American and Bosnian to name a few), TGS has a little something for everyone. The shining star of our neighborhood is the 289 acre Tower Grove Park 0.5mi to the north, which hosts a Saturday Farmer's Market in the warm season and countless festivals and events throughout the year.
Getting around:
There is ample street parking, as well as our covered 2-car carport in the backyard accessible by the alley. Please observe street sweeping signs. Having a car or relying on ride sharing services/cabs is recommended as public transportation is several blocks away.

Climb the front steps of a remarkably preserved craftsman period house with its exterior character intact. Inside is a modern space that's been remodeled top to bottom to a high level of quality and style, including a chef's kitchen and formal dining area.
The house is the perfect place for large groups and families wanting plenty of space to spread out, relax and spend time together. Very kid friendly with porta cribs, highchairs, strollers and a baby monitor available for your use.
Great place if you are in town visiting family and friends, attending a wedding, taking in many of the attractions St Louis has to offer, or attending a business function with co-workers.
The house has a well-equipped chef’s kitchen, large dining area with seating for 10, large family room in basement, and fenced-in backyard with patio furniture and gas BBQ gill. The house is well-appointed, cozy, clean and well maintained.
The house has 3 floors and a basement. On the 1st floor is the Entry, Living Room, Dining Room, Kitchen and Half Bath. From the Kitchen is the back door leading to the first-floor deck where the gas grill is located and the fenced-in back yard with patio furniture.
On the 2nd floor, there are 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. The Master Bedroom with king-size bed has an ensuite Full Master Bathroom. Bedroom #2 with a queen-size bed and Bedroom #3 with a full-size bed share Full Bathroom #2. Off the Master Bedroom Suite is the back door to the second-floor deck.
On the 3rd floor, there are 2 bedrooms and 1 full bathroom. Bedroom #4 with the full-size bed and Bedroom #5 with the king-size bed share Full Bathroom #3.
All the beds are super comfortable with memory foam mattresses.
The basement has the Family Room and Full Bathroom #4. Besides the 2 large couches, there is a lot of room to put blow up mattresses for extra sleeping places. The basement door allows easy access to the back yard.
The basement has a workstation with monitor where you can connect your laptop if you need a place to do some work. The 200 MB WiFi connection provides you internet access to throughout the house. Big screen TVs in the Living Room and Family Room with full cable TV access to quite a few channels including movies and sports.
The house is on a corner, so there is plenty of parking right next to the side of the house. There is also a gate in the fence from the side of the house that allows you direct access to the back yard and back door.

Located footsteps from beautiful Tower Grove park with a bustling farmer’s market, community yoga, and food & beer truck events!
There is a queen bed in the bedroom, a full sized bed in the alcove and a futon sofa in the living room. There is a full size mattress we can add to the living room upon request.
You can enjoy all parts of the apartment. Backyard is a fenced garden that has a small patch for leashed pets to do business and 4 chairs to enjoy garden view on brick pavers. The property does not have an outdoor area for pets to be off leash.
We live on the 2nd floor and are happy to make recommendations of places to see and things to do in the area. We are also available to help with anything that you find needs attention, is broken or you’re just not sure about. The kitchen is complete with a full stove/oven, fridge, sink, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, and butcher block island. Local coffee and bread are in the fridge for you! Feel free to use all kitchen supplies. All we ask is that you clean up after yourselves, thanks!
In the living/sleeping area, there is a queen bed and a queen-sized air mattress, by request. We also can provide a twin air mattress, as well as a toddler-sized foam sofa that's great for little kiddos. (If you need them, please request the air mattresses and/or toddler sofa before your stay. :)
The bathroom includes a shower, sink, toilet, soap, towels, and a first aid kit. The shower is a stall that is accessed using one step. (This is the only step inside the building. There is one step from the driveway onto the patio.)
Some guests have mentioned how bright the studio is due to daylight or alley lights. We love the light, however you might want to bring a sleeping mask. If you're sensitive to noise, bring earplugs; the AC/heater can be loud and the crickets and birds around the garden like to sing.
Longer stays are available. Guests will enjoy a discounted rate for extended stays.
Take note! The building is old, industrial, full of brick and concrete, and not well-insulated. Occasionally you’ll spot bugs or feel a draft. This is normal. :) Adjust the thermostat as you wish! It's worth it for a unique experience.

The space
Our home is perfect for one to four respectful guests for short stays, or one to two guests for longer stays. We work hard to make our visitors feel comfortable in our space. There are two private bedrooms, the second room is small and has a full-size bed. This is a lower unit of a 2-family building. We ask that guests are respectful of upstairs neighbors and keep noise at a minimum. While we ask the same of our guests in the upper unit, please note you may hear guests above you at times.

A washer and dryer in the basement are available to guests staying a week or longer.
Other things to note
This unit is on a one way street with plenty of street parking. You can normally park right in front of the apartment.
This is a lower unit apartment with tenants above. There's a good chance you will hear some footsteps above you if you stay here.

Most of our guests are incredibly respectful and kind, but occasionally we have guests who treat our home, our cleaners, and/or our neighbors with disrespect. We require all guests to agree to our rental policy, to pay any associated fines in the event of violation of these policies, and to take responsibility for any damaged or missing items. Please familiarize yourself with our policy in the “House Rules” section of this listing page.
☆Cancellations + Alterations ☆
Please consult the cancellation terms in the rental policy prior to booking to determine the amount of the refund, if any, that will be issued in the event of cancellation or alteration. We sometimes receive requests for additional refunds beyond those already offered. We understand that there are many valid reasons for needing to cancel or alter a reservation, so rather than acting as a kind of judge for the validity of each case (and in fairness to our guests who do not ask for special treatment), we refer guests to our cancellation policy to ensure it’s understood upfront and do not offer policy exceptions for any reason.
If there is some doubt as to whether you’ll potentially need to cancel the reservation, we recommend purchasing travel insurance to protect your stay.

This beautiful cottage is located in the heart of South City—Tower Grove South. Located just walking distance away from the Crown District, there’s an abundance of dining, drinking, & activities for all to enjoy. We are located just 1 mile from Tower Grove Park, the second largest park in St. Louis.
We offer a comfy place to stay, fully stocked with anything you may need. Don't hesitate to let us know if you need recommendations or anything else that would make your stay even more pleasant!
The space
This apartment is a unit of a 1930s duplex. We have tried our best to maintain the original beauty of this older home. It has a vintage aesthetic, with original cabinetry, wall tile, & (some) fixtures. We hope you can lean into the gingerbread cottage feel & enjoy taking a trip back in time.
With any older home, you can expect some quirks. Consider waiting a second before entering the shower after flushing the toilet to prevent getting blasted with hot water. We are also getting a piece of baseboard made in the dining room to match the original, so a small portion is currently missing. We believe in transparency, so if you have any questions or concerns about this space, please let us know!
Guest access
While staying here, you will have full access to the entire private apartment, laundry room. The backyard is fully fenced can also be used (it is shared with the unit next-door).
Your family & friends will be close to everything when you stay at this centrally-located place. S Grand, tower grove park, botanical gardens and many more historic places will take you by surprise. Age REQUIREMENT: you must be 21 years of age to book. Minors must be accompanied during the entire stay by the account reservation holder.

HOUSE RULES
⁃ no smoking of any sort inside the property. Smoking is ONLY PERMITTED in the BACKYARD AREA.
⁃ Absolutely no parties and noise must be kept to a minimum every night from 10pm-7am to respect our neighbors. You will be charged $500 of a party fee & any damages. Please avoid using excessive amounts of glitter.
⁃ No additional guests are allowed to stay beyond those who are booked (please send a request for additional guest & wait for approval. Any additional guest without approval will result in a $100 fine per additional guest.)
⁃ Summer ☀️Air conditioning please be courteous and do not change the AC lower than 70. An additional charge will added to your stay if you change the temperature lower than 70.
⁃ The kitchen is provided with most essential cooking tools. With a fan below the microwave. Before check out place all dirty dishes inside the sink or dish washer. If your stay is longer than 3 days do not pile dishes wash them in the dishwasher to avoid nets, stains etc.
HOW to use dishwasher:
1. Place cups/mugs on the top rack
2. Place pans/plates/cutting boards etc on the bottom rack.
3. Place knives, forks, spoons, utensils on the right side utensils holder.
4. Slide the dish detergent compartment open. Place the dish pod inside the compartment. Slide the compartment closed, listen for a soft click.
5. Close the door, press start once. Immediately after pressing start press “▶️” twice.
6. Allow dishes to wash. Dishwasher will let you know when the cycle is finished.
- Extra trash bags are located under the kitchen sink. At checkout please place your garbage bags inside the unit in the hallway. If your trash overflows please take out your trash & replace the bag. A dumpster is located directly behind the building.
Excessive trash will result in a $250 charge. Please be mindful of nets/ bugs. If your stay is longer than 3 days do not place trash by the door please take out your trash & replace the bag.
⁃ The bathroom is includes fresh towels. Extra linens will be stocked in the linens closet if needed. Please use “Makeup” towels for makeup or color soap. An extra cleaning fee will be applied if the rule is not followed. The bathroom includes 1 walk-in shower.
⁃ Do your best to leave the house in its pristine condition upon arrival. Leave all dirty towels & sheets inside the laundry basket. Turn all things off. Lock up.
