- "I went up there with my partner in order to get away from the busy city, we got inside and it was a cabin. Really cozy, rustic,spacious and comfortable. We ended up staying in and going out about the same just because it felt relaxing inside and we wanted to explore nearby. We explored the Black rock trail as well as the Orange heritage trail both less than 20min away. We ended up outside by the firepit at night gazing at the stars for what seemed to be hours. 1 night was definitely not enough to enjoy everything and we will be coming back soon! This place feels like homeaway from home now and is on the top of our list when we get another weekend off. Those host Adderlyn was great and answered all of our questions in a timely manner as well as welcoming. Everything was clean and organized. Just 65 miles from NYC lies our cozy, artful 3 bedroom cabin on 5 wooded acres on a private road along a babbling brook. Sit by the fireplace and enjoy the peace or set out for nearby hikes, farms, Storm King, Lego Land or retail outlets. We did a wide range of upgrades to the house in the fall 2024 - including an awesome new water filtration system, brand new bedding and furnishings, and a complete renovation of the ground floor - so that we could deliver maximum comfort to our guests!

With floor to ceiling windows looking out in to the woods from the living room, there's a sense of being right in the middle of nature from morning to sunset.

Pets welcome. The house, decorated with contemporary art and family antiques, has WIFI that runs 25 mbps. It works for emailing, zooming and streaming movies, etc, but it is not high speed.

House rules are pretty simple: no smoking, no parties or gatherings, no guests that weren't disclosed at the time of booking, no hunting. Check in is 4PM. Check out is 11AM.

The house has three bedrooms---two have a queen size bed, and one has two twins. There are two large living rooms---one upstairs by the fireplace, and one downstairs, with a lounge area and work desk.

There are chairs by the creek for creek watching. Deer, birds and squirrels roam.

A long, private driveway ascends a serene hillside to this grand Mid-Hudson, NY estate surrounded by nature, providing the privacy and serenity required for a wonderful getaway. This modern home is an impressive 5,500 sq ft, which includes 9 bedrooms, 7 full bathrooms, 2 living rooms, a big dining room with seating for 20, plus some bonuses like a fun bar and movie theater. Three of the bed/baths are en suite. Please note that we are limited to 24 overnight guests.

There are several alfresco dining areas, as well as a large gas BBQ grill. Gather your group at the patio dining table. Serve up a fresh farm-to-table lunch of produce from the local Blooming Hill farmers market. After lunch, play some yard games, stroll through the woods or enjoy a hike through the forest. The pool is a wonderful place to enjoy the summer heat, with a super fun slide to keep the kids entertained. Please note that the pool is open from approximately June 15 to Sept 1, and it is not heated.

The front veranda, with its panoramic views of the rolling landscape, is a great place to enjoy a glass of wine from local Brotherhood Vineyard, America’s oldest winery, which is just up the road. With 9 comfy bedrooms, you'll have plenty of space to spread out. Three of the bedrooms have an attached bathroom. The main suite has two walk-in closets, a vaulted tray ceiling and a jacuzzi bubble tub. With advance notice, cots, cribs and pack & plays are available for families traveling with small children.

The huge basement rec room is a highlight of this Hudson Valley mansion. A home theater in the basement features a 93” movie screen/projector as well as reclining leather sectional sofa with ample seating.

Just beside the home theater is a kitchenette and bar, adorned with classic NY antiquities and vintage memorabilia. (Please note: the vintage arcade games are not functional)

We also have a separate kosher kitchen, but you must request access to it prior to booking.

Please note, this house is set up for extended family groups and it is not suitable for rowdy parties. Outside guests are not allowed without prior approval. Unauthorized use of the home may result in immediate removal without a refund and guests will be held liable for any damage.

Drive-in movie theaters in Warwick; stop to get home made ice cream at Bellvale Farms Creamery. Visit Mt. Peter in Warwick, NY for skiing and tubing only 30 min away. Lego Land is not even 20 minutes away! Perfect for a low-key weekend with the family. Shop around the area with 2 Super Walmarts, Target, Bj's, Sams Club, and possibly any store you can think of. Orange county is the home of the historical "Oldest winery in America" named The Brotherhood Winery. Waterfront restaurants and walking paths in Newburgh and Beacon. Palisades Mall about 45 minutes away! Metlife and Prudential stadiums in near distance, with about an hour/ hour and a half train ride/ drive.

- "We used the outside grill twice and had several friends join us for dinner and the kitchen and outside grill worked well . The house is spacious, clean and well equipped. Also the art work is beautiful, only negatives would be the poor condition of some furniture and in several places the wallpaper has large rips." - "We had a lovely time, the weather wasn't great but that is out of everyones control. We just wish our stay was during pool season and that the lake wasn't under construction at the time."

- Cleaning fees are only meant to cover the cost of standard cleaning between reservations (ex: laundry, vacuuming, etc.) Guests should not leave the listing in a state that requires excessive or deep cleaning (ex: with moldy dishes, soiled carpets). In this case excess cleaning fees will apply.

- Things happen, please communicate if something goes wrong or is broken during your stay. We are here to help and will try and replace or fix items if possible.

- No explosives, fireworks, fire arms, or weapons allowed on the property. Hunting is not allowed on the property.

We really don’t want to charge you any fees, so please follow these rules and checkout on time. In our experience 99.999% of guest are wonderful, (just like you I assume!) These fines are for the very small fraction of folks who don't respect the rules.

Late checkout after the time on your reservation will result in a $250 fee unless late checkout is authorized in writing at least 24 hours before the checkout time. We need to do this to make sure we have time to clean for you and the next guest.

If you checkout over 1 hour late you will also be charged our undiscounted day rate as a late checkout fee. Please note that does not grant you an extra day of occupancy, this is just a extra late checkout fee.

Guests

The maximum number of guests allowed during a stay is the number on your reservation. You are required to inform us of how many guests will be staying during your visit when you book.

You must be 25 and up to rent. For security purposes, please upload a copy of your photo ID, and a list of all guest full names and ages within 72 hours of booking or we reserve the right to cancel.

No parties or events may take place on the property.

If you throw a party by having more than the number of guests on the reservation visit the listing we will cancel your reservation, call the police to evict you, and charge you an extra guest fee of $250 for each additional person you allowed to enter the building. You will also be charged an additional fee of $500 to cover the cleaning time needed after a party. We have only had this problem once but it made us put this policy in place, so please do NOT book our place to throw a party and you won't need to worry about this!

Smoking

Please note our home is a smoke free property. Failure to comply will result in a $250 fine for each room you smoke in based on what the cleaning person smells and needs to deodorize (this can add up very quickly), please never smoke in the house!

Noise

Please avoid excessive noise so as not to disturb the neighbors. Quiet hours are between 9pm-9am. Please be respectful of quiet hours so everybody can enjoy a good night!

In total, there are 14 beds, comfortably accommodating up to 18 guests. Perfect for family gatherings! This single-story home is ideal for guests with mobility needs.

This house is set up for extended family groups and it is not suitable for rowdy parties. Outside guests are not allowed without prior approval. Unauthorized use of the home may result in immediate removal without a refund and guests will be held liable for any damage.

The quiet hours of 8 PM - 8 AM must be respected. No outdoor music please.

There are plenty of spots to enjoy a group meal here, from the formal dining room to the upstairs kitchen breakfast bar to screened-in outdoor dining.

With its sprawling lawn and expansive raised deck, the outdoor space on the property is as welcoming as the indoors. Relax in the stylish conversation area on the deck, with views of the surrounding forest.

Downstairs guests will appreciate the shaded seating area for resting and relaxing. Or gather around the fire pit to roast marshmallows and tell ghost stories. There’s lots of fun to be had on the sprawling lawn, too.

Please note, pool maintenance is scheduled weekly, and you will have to exit the pool for about an hour at that time. The pool is heated and available all year round.
