Our 2017 end unit townhome has been meticulously maintained and offers all the comforts of home. All 3 bedrooms are upstairs, as well as a loft space, additional bathroom andlaundry room. The private master suite has a beautiful master bath and walk-in closets. One bedroom is a nursery and the other has a queen bed. The loft space has ample space for additional guests to sleep.

The main floor is all hardwood and has a completely open concept layout. The expansive kitchen has marble countertops, a gas stove and is fully stocked with the necessary kitchen items. The living room has a gas fireplace and a 14-ft couch! Just off the living room is a 1/2 bathroom and an office space.

With windows on three sides, there is abundant natural light filling the entire space.

You can see Cedar Avenue, which provides direct access to the Mall of America, several nearby lakes, restaurants, downtown Minneapolis and St. Paul. This location is perfect for families as you're centrally located but not in the heart of the city. The complex also has a wonderful playground for the kids to enjoy.

A 3/4 bath and tile shower is conveniently accessible to both rooms. There is also a deck with gas grill for use of guests. The property offers stunning views of St. Wenceslaus church and is convenient to main street, restaurants and golf.

The bathroom was nicely remodeled as well with a large walk in shower and extra counter area by the sink. We walked to a restaurant down the street which was really good! Several other places you could walk to to eat or shop. The back entrance and keyless entry was nice and secure. We also got to park in the covered car port. Host checked on us via text to see if everything was satisfactory during our stay which was really nice. We’ll look at staying here again if we are ever in the area."

- "We spent a leisurely summer week at this home and it was absolutely wonderful. This was easily the most well-appointed home we've ever rented. Plenty of towels (bath and beach), paper goods, toiletries in the bathrooms, trash bags and dish soap in the kitchen. Just so easy to drop in our personal stuff and enjoy for the week! The outdoor games, fire pit (with all wood provided!) and water toys were great to get outside and enjoy this beautiful setting. We appreciated the puzzles and games inside for the rainy days too! Beds were super comfy with lots of pillows. And our contact Anna was amazing - responsive and helpful, even finding us an extra kayak for the week. We would return in a heartbeat!"

Guests can choose to enter the apartment on the ground level with their luggage, but can also enter and exit directly on Division Street using a flight of stairs.

Our location is convenient, cozy and unique being an old ginseng farm, the duplex has a rural feel and is tucked away from the street.

Enjoy a patio space to grill at while soaking in the outdoors. We have a fully equipped kitchen, but the Ole Store, a Northfield favorite, is just down the block.
Dogs are allowed when added on the reservation and pet fee has been paid for.

Safari Hideaway is a large home with an extended plumbing layout, which means it may take a bit longer for hot water to reach some of the showers—especially those upstairs (the hot water will come- just be patient). This is completely normal and has been confirmed by our builder due to the long distance from the water heater.

The home is equipped with an **extra-large water heater—the largest model available for residential construction at the time of build—**so capacity is not the issue. For large groups, we simply recommend spacing out showers slightly to allow the hot water to recharge. Thanks for your understanding—just one of the small trade-offs that come with enjoying the comfort and space of a home this size and a large group!

We offer an extended pool season into September, weather permitting!
If daytime highs stay above 70°F, and nighttime temps don’t fall too low, we’re happy to heat the pool upon request. Pool heat is available for $75/night (3-night minimum). Please request in advance so we can start warming the pool before your stay.

The space
We are located in a safe, quiet neighborhood on a larger lot with privacy from neighbors. Private bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, and living area with a laundry room. Iron and ironing board provided. This suite has a private entrance with a key code.

The full kitchen is stocked with many items that include a coffee pot, coffee filters, Keurig machine, k cups, sugar, tea kettle, tea, waffle maker, slow cooker, toaster and all necessary kitchen items for cooking. If you can't find something, just ask!

We have YouTube TV for watching and an Amazon Fire Stick where you can watch from other sources such as Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, etc. through your own accounts.

The basement is supplied with an infrared heater to keep the area toasty warm. We also have central air for those hot summer days.

Welcome to my little 8 acre oasis! Being the first farm I’ve ever lived on, I understand the peace and tranquility it can offer those who have never experienced it. Enjoy meeting my horses and mini donkeys, take a walk through my woods, or have a fire! Located in my ground level basement apartment with a private entrance, this space was designed to allow my guests the authentic experience of staying on a farm, but in an updated and remodeled space with a modern farm-style feel to ensure that you feel like you're in your home away from home but with a sprinkle of the farm life. I am located on a corner lot off of a main access road, but it only gets busy during rush hour. The rest of the time it’s very quiet and peaceful. In the summer there can be some motorcycle traffic. This is an old farm that’s very rustic and has a hay barn that’s been worn down with love :) Currently there is no set pathway to your back door entrance but you are welcome to drive your car around the back onto the grass and park it by the entrance to your space (unless it’s winter😊) My lot is 10 acres! Most of that is the horse pastures but a good portion of it is the wooded area that you are welcome to explore! The back border of the property is all fenced so you can’t wander off the property.


Although the cooking space isn't technically considered a “full kitchen” I have provided every appliances that will allow you cook everything you could in a full kitchen. This includes: Fridge, Electric double burner cooktop, griddle, crock pot, waffle maker, Keurig coffee machine, convection oven (cooks 12 inch pizza!), microwave, blender, all necessary kitchen utensils and amenities for cooking and a coffee station for your comfort and convenience. I also have a gas grill right outside your door (not in photos) as well as a fireplace! We have a dry rack and spray nozzle for quick and easy dish washing as well!

Most of the basement doesn't feel like a basement at all! The windows in the family room and kitchen are ground level, allowing you to look out onto my land and feel a part of it. Depending on which pasture my horses and mini donkeys are in, you can see them grazing right outside of the kitchen window!

The basement does not have central air but it does have a window unit in the family kitchen that cools the space nicely (spring/summer months). On very very hot days when it might not be enough, I have every room equipped with rotating fans for those who want them to help keep things cool. There are no air conditioners in the rooms but fans help blow the air back there and keeps the entire downstairs unit cool! It naturally stays about 10 degrees cooler than the upstairs because it is a basement. There is also a dehumidifier for those who want that option. The basement also has its own separate heating system from the upstairs that you control.

There is a washer and dryer on your floor for your own private use as well and we provide one free laundry detergent pod per stay.

There is a private desk/work space for those who need or require it in the finished laundry room. The space has been redecorated and truly has a relaxing zen-like feel to it despite it being a laundry room. It’s actually my favorite room in the basement! The desk/work space inspires good focusing skills to help keep you on track with whatever you are working on. There are two windows in the room that let in natural light (see pictures) and both can be opened. We wanted to provide the option of a private work space for the guests that required it while also keeping it out of the way of the guests who don’t.

The family room has a giant projector screen with surround sound that makes for epic movie nights after a day of boating, hunting, fishing or trip to Mall Of America! The TV has Apple TV with Netflix, Disney plus, Hulu, HBO, and Amazon prime on it for you. You can also use airplay to cast from your own phone if you have your own apps you want to watch from. We also have board games, card games, puzzles, and books too!

Outside we have a fire pit with 2 wooden rocking chairs and 4 adirondack chairs. There are extra camping chairs in the laundry room if needed. Feel free to burn ANY dead wood you can find around the property. Our wooded area is a great place to look!

There is also a garden box right outside your door planted with several different things that you are welcome to take from and use during your stay as long as they last!

There is plenty of parking space on our farm for big boats, rvs, trailers, ice huts, you name it, so feel free to bring all your toys!

We have a large wooded area with the most beautiful giant trees that makes for a very peaceful place to take a walk in the morning with your coffee! But really a great place to take a walk anytime! But it’s kind of hidden so go exploring for it behind the garage area! The entire property is at your desposal to explore other than the area the animals are in. (more on that in different section) The property is also completely fenced in on the back side so you can’t wander anywhere that isn’t our property, so have fun exploring! Since we are out in the country, the summer months can have lots of mosquitos, so make sure to put some bug spray on! We provide some bug spray but might want to bring your own as well.

Also several food delivery apps deliver to our place, so that is a nice thing to have when you want to stay in and cozy up!

When you drive in our driveway, head straight for the house, parking just to the right of the house/garage doors. Easy access/self check-in by using the security code entering garage and then again into house. My car is parked in the right side of the garage as you’re facing it.

Upon entrance to the house, shoes on the floor to the left and hooks on the back of the door for coats, or on hangers on the overhead ladder, in the green room. The coffee/hot beverage center is straight ahead, and then to the left you go through the French Doors to your own Private Suite. The only living/shared space on this floor is the Laundry/Green Room, which includes a small fridge, microwave, toaster, and Crockpot. Make yourself at home!

There are two hospitals, not far away, if needed:
St Francis Regional Medical Center and Hospital in Shakopee and Burnsville Fairview Ridges. There are also a large number of clinics in the area. Call your Insurance Company to find out which one they recommend for you.
