The Space
An original Cedar wood front door welcomes guests and opens into a large open plan kitchen, dining and lounge area with its original ‘rietdak’, beams and thick walls. The main feature in the kitchen area is a large stone clad open fire place with an original yellow wood surround. This doesn’t only ensure cosy winter evenings, but can also be used to braai or make ‘potjiekos’. Double French doors open onto a sprawling latte covered veranda which has a lovely mountain and country view. Three bedrooms and two bathrooms are connected by a passage which leads off from the living area. The one bedroom has a sliding door that opens onto the veranda and overlooks the garden and mountains. The property has wooden shutters and is very secure.
Split level stairs from the veranda leads to a spacious games room on garden level which has a pool table, darts, and table soccer for evening entertainment. Another short flight of stairs connects to an open-air deck that offers spectacular mountain views, especially at sunset sunset when they are bathed in gold and rosy hues.
