The High End Luxury Cabin is up to 8 guests only. What guests love about our "High End Luxury Cabin" is that it gives our smaller families an experience in staying at a beautiful and comfortable home setting. Our beautiful, 2-bedroom cabin is spacious and well appointed. Includes: pool table (bring your own pool sticks), a Foosball table, 4 electric recliners, 2 leather recliners, a large screen TV with surround sound and high speed WIFI. Enjoy the oak dining table for 6 guests, plus, additional tables for 6. There is a new stainless-steel kitchen Hi- Tech style. It is considered a compact kitchen with a deep single sink, refrigerator, electric range, microwave, coffee maker, cookware and so much more. Please note: The kitchen is for 1 or 2 chefs at a time. It is considered "compact". All dishes will be washed by hand, no dishwasher, no garbage disposal, no washer/dryer is available. Host suggests that you bring paper goods, such as plates, cups, so that you will have an easier clean-up. Otherwise, there are plenty of dishes. For your outdoor experience we just built a large deck for picnicking and propane barbecue. Free off-street parking at the lower entrance for 3 vehicles . Host can make additional parking available for ATV's and trailers. Please message the host if you need this additional parking.
This cabin backs up to the Lincoln National Forest. Simply walk around to the side of the house, and step into the cool pines. We have wildlife right up to the back yard. Likely, you will see elk, deer, wild horses, small critters and bats. Please keep the doors and windows closed . IMPORTANT: You are renting the lower floor of a 2-story home. The upper floor of the home is not included when renting the "High End Luxury Cabin". You may rent the entire home under the name of the "Woodlands Chalet", for up to 17 guests. For your privacy and security, the staircase is locked from the upper floor. We do have exterior cameras, motion activated. The entire home upper and lower levels have exterior cameras for the safety of our clients. (motion, video, recording) We do not rent the upper floor when we have guests in the lower cabin. Please remember, there are NO PETS allowed on the property or in the cabin or kept in your vehicle. No smoking or drugs in the cabin. Smoking cigars or cigarettes on the front lower deck is acceptable. Please use the small hanging sand bucket for disposal of your butts. Please also note: The forest is dry, and we are under high alert for fires, during the summer. No open fires are allowed. The propane grill is ok, if attended at all times. Please read our reviews. Inasmuch as we NEVER agreed for VRBO to bill our valued customers and their fees are ridiculously expensive, and we pay them $699.00 per year to list our cabin which we bought with our hard earned money and we also maintain said property, upon return vists, we can make other arrangements to avoid their unauthorized, usurious fees. This does not apply to the initial booking. The property is a cozy cabin on a hillside nestled in the pines with an unbelievable view! This cabin is very secluded, yet it is in the Village of Cloudcroft. There are lovely views of mountain splendor even inside the cabin through the large picture window. There is a spacious deck for relaxing, viewing and cooking and dining!

The living area is an open area which houses the kitchen, dining area and living area. The amenities are described herein, however suffice it to say the owners have everything that a lodger needs to have a memorable stay.

The Lodge golf course is a public course. The tee box for the first hole is within a 9 iron away! The course is a blast! It is very affordable and family friendly! Compare to the courses in Ruidoso. The back deck of the house provides an amazing view of the 7th fairway of the Course.

The cabin is next to the road with ample parking. However, the well lighted stairway takes you a good distance from the road where the cabin is in the middle of the woods with a perfect, unspoiled view. Yet, there are stores, restaurants, shops, a gas station, etc. just minutes away.

Great bird watching from the deck where you are level with the tree tops! The lot on the west is a frequent deer hangout and crossing. Elk have been seen crossing through on either side of the cabin as well. It is an amazing place for wildlife. There are houses close by but not next door!

All the furniture was warm and inviting. Now, what possibly could be said about this location – WOW! We loved watching the golfers, deer, which was right beside us, and hummingbirds galore! The property was well-maintained, and both the outside and inside of the cabin were extremely clean! They really are not enough words to tell you what a spectacular time we had! We will be back!"

Very comfortable and quiet!" - "We greatly enjoyed our stay at the cabin in the forest just outside Cloudcroft with the large deck. Elk, chipmunks, birds, and free range cows visited the property, and we saw elk and deer along the road into Cloudcroft. The other houses along the street are spread out, so there is a sense of privacy. We enjoyed strolling along the street. The highway is just down the street, close to be convenient but not obtrusive or loud. The house was comfortable with colorful southwest/cabin decor and helpful labeled lighting and very clean but could have used more lighting in the bathrooms plus living room for reading, microwavable dishes/containers, replacements for worn-out towels and window frames, and some niceties like luggage racks. The shower (with appreciated grab bar and seat) worked well - we didn't need to use the heat during our stay. Dish TV worked great. The laundry center (including basket) was very appreciated, as we didn't have to pack as much on our trip. We would have appreciated if the housekeeper took the trash/recycling into town instead of us. The property was just fifteen minutes from Cloudcroft with its walkable block of local shops and allowed for close day trips to White Sands National Park, Pistachioland, etc. Overall, we had a fun and relaxing time and recommend this cabin near Cloudcroft to all."

In the morning all the birds came over to eat for most of the day." - "Lovely condo on the golf course. The first night was a bit hot due to the weather. Thankfully, the property has two fans available for every room so that was a life safer. I would absolutely rent from these hosts again - clear communication via email of check-in and check-out procedures sent a week prior to the stay. We never the weird in person experience of other VRBOs rentals. The condo was clean and the kitchen was well stocked for our cooking needs. We are a family with two younger children, they shared the downstairs room and we had a private space upstairs."

Parking is directly in front of cabin, the length of cabin only. We can accommodate 2 cars parallel parked. Please do not block the short driveway, as neighbor must be able to drive through. The long driveway to right, facing cabin, is private property and cannot be used.

Welcome to our Simply Enjoy cabin! Our cozy cabin is waiting for you to come in and enjoy its charm after a day out in the mountain air! The large deck will be a retreat to sit and visit about the days adventures! It's newly renovated and has many Google smart home features. Enjoy a king size bed for a great nights sleep and a fully functional kitchen for breakfast. There is also a queen, sofa bed with upgraded memory foam mattress. Walk, bike or drive to all Cloudcroft has to offer.

There is a level 2 EV charger on the property. Approximately 20 paces from the deck of this cabin. Please let us know if you would like to use the EV charger so that we can turn it on. We charge .25 cents a kWh. This is a ChargePoint Level 2 charger and will tell us the exact amount used during your stay.

During fire restrictions the grill and fire pit will be out of service. Smoking is never allowed in the cabin and is only allowed in your enclosed vehicle.

This is the mountains, weather is unpredictable, come prepared. We do not offer refunds for mountain weather. While we try our best to keep the driveway clear after a snow storm, four wheel or all wheel drive may be needed.

Nice 2 bed 2 bath cabin, beautiful views, sleeps 4, plus recliner, reclining sofa, toddler cot, & infant pack n play. Cabin is located in a quiet subdivision 6 miles from the village of Cloudcroft. There is a large covered deck for grilling, eating, relaxing, watching elk, deer, birds & enjoying the gorgeous views! No steep driveways. The entire living area on second floor with an open floor plan for easy socializing. The kitchen is fully furnished. The bar has seating for 4 and the dinette seats 4. We have a toddler booster seat & step stool available for use. The living room has a recliner, reclining sofa, TV, internet, games & beautiful views through the large windows!
Cabin has new flooring and is newly painted. It is furnished well enough that you just need to bring food, clothes & personal items. The deck has a latch gate for children’s safety. The cabin sits on over an acre with lots of room for kids/adults to play any time of year. In the winter, guests can enjoy snow sleds & tubing on the property (not provided) or you are only 3 miles from Ski Cloudcroft for skiing or tubing. Tubes and saucers are available to rent or buy in the village.
This is a NON SMOKING & NO PET home.
ATVs/UTVs can be driven on the roads of the subdivision or taken to the nearby Lincoln National Forest trails or enjoy some hiking there. Less than 10 minutes from Cloudcroft for dining, shopping, golfing, spa, hiking, playground, ice skating, or skiing. Cabin is located about 45 minutes from Ruidoso for a wide variety of things to enjoy.

Just 15 minutes from the Village of Cloudcroft and nestled amongst the pines, Fawn Passage is the perfect little getaway for one or two. This cabin is not appropriate for small children and you must have pre-approval before bringing a child. For our protection and yours, we have a camera on the front exterior of the cabin, aimed at the driveway.

Fawn Passage welcomes you home to peaceful beauty. Just bring your clothes, we'll provide the rest. You can't help but leave here feeling rested and de-stressed! While we depend on God to provide the wildlife and beautiful weather, we provide relaxation, comfortable furnishings TV with DVD player, lots of books, and WiFi. We do not provide cable or streaming service, and there is no television reception. We do, however, provide over 70 movies for your enjoyment. Feel free to bring a Roku or Firestick to stream movies, if you wish. The stereo is bluetooth enabled so you can connect from your phone and listen to Pandora, Spotify, etc. through the speakers.

We do not allow smoking anywhere on the property - inside or out, and we do not allow pets. Fire restrictions are usually high, but you may use the propane grill on the deck.

If you're ready to feel pampered, come upstairs where we have a queen size bed with an excellent mattress, 2" memory foam mattress topper, 400-500 thread count 100% cotton sheets, a down comforter and fluffy pillows. One short nap on this bed will make you want to go to bed early and sleep in late. All bed linens are provided and all are line-dried in fresh air and sunshine, and then pressed.

Fawn Passage features a well-stocked kitchen, that's ready to cook in or just to enjoy a cup of coffee or tea. It includes a full size stove and refrigerator, microwave, toaster oven, toaster, and coffee pot, and is fully stocked with new dishes, cookware and crock pots, as well as a gas grill on the deck. We provide you with filtered water, fresh ground Organic Ruta Maya coffee, fresh ground decaf, hot cocoa, hot apple cider, specialty teas, Krusteaz pancake mix, Log Cabin syrup, and a variety of instant oatmeal. We make it easy for you to prepare delicious meals with a well stocked spice cabinet. The kitchen is surrounded by windows, so it's light and airy and offers an excellent view of the wildlife. We provide so many extras at no extra charge, that it's like coming to your own home away from home. If you need it, we probably provide it.

In the bathroom (downstairs), we pamper you with with quality handmade soap and lotion from Thymeless Bath, as well as shampoo, conditioner, a blow dryer and flat iron.

You can relax and unwind inside or out. Our living area includes large comfortable furniture to curl up in and watch a movie, read, snuggle or just take a nap. The woodburner is ready to use, with all the wood provided for you at no extra charge. When it's cold outside, there's nothing more relaxing than curling up on the couch and watching the flames flicker. In the cold months, there are two heaters in the living room, in case you don't want to make a fire.

The covered deck provides the perfect spot to cook steaks on the grill or just sit and watch the hummingbirds. If you pay attention, you might see deer, turkey, rabbits, blue jays, porcupines, elk or a bear.

At Fawn Passage, the summer daytime highs can be anywhere from 50 to 80 degrees with the overnight lows around 45 to 60, so bring a sweater or light jacket. Winter daytime highs can range from 20 to 50, with overnight lows very cold, so you'll definitely need a warm jacket! In winter months (Dec-Jan), we recommend 4WD or chains. You can usually get up our driveway without them, but 4WD makes it much easier, if there is snow. I always have people ask if they "need" 4WD or can they get here without it. 90% of the time you can, but there's always that 10% chance. You'll have to decide if it's necessary.

Fawn Passage is not a hunter's lodge and while we do host the occasional hunter, you will be required to take extra care that most hunters are not willing to do. We have white towels and bedding, as well as light colored carpeting. No field dressing deer or elk allowed on the property.

Welcome to Bigfoot's Bunkhouse! This dog friendly rustic refuge is the perfect location for enjoying the charm of the Lincoln National Forest without missing the goings on of main street Cloudcroft. Whether you fancy a short drive to picturesque White Sands, NP , a chill day at Bluff Springs waterfall and trails, or if you simply prefer to let the good times roll (with Cloudcroft Brewery a 5 minute walk away) we'd love to have you and your loved ones stay in our cozy, clean and memorable place.

We do not accept third party reservations. The person making the reservation must be the primary occupant. You cannot assign or gift the reservation.

There is a $25.00 per dog/per stay fee, We do this to make sure our cleaning crew takes the extra time to make sure your dog has a safe clean and hygienic place to sniff, lick, lay , sit and stay!
And so future dogs have the same opportunity

The dog must be 1 year old or older and house trained.

1. If left unattended we ask that you ensure your dog(s) won't be at risk of damaging any property inside and your dog(s) may not to be left out on the porch.

2. Please do not use the blankets provided as a covering over the furniture or bedding.

3. Pick up your dogs waste immediately after it's done and dispose of it in the dumpster outside on the corner.

4. Please do not allow your pets to get on any of the furniture because even the best dogs can have accidents in unfamiliar situations. Also, please don’t use any of the provided blankets to try to cover the furniture because it’s very hard to get pet hair out of the fabric.

This wonderful nearly 1100 sq. ft. and fenced yard cabin with two bedrooms and 1-1/2 baths, plus exterior downstairs game room, is located about 6 miles outside of town on a great wooded lot with fabulous views and in close proximity to skiing. The upstairs area has a sloping roof where you can sleep in a nice big king size bed. The 1/2 bath that adjoins the king bedroom upstairs is so convenient. The second bedroom is on the main floor with a queen bedroom and a full bath with a laundry facility. The living room has a wood stove for winter months and a very well-appointed kitchen with a Kuerig and coffee pot and is joined by a separate dining area. Included is a 32" Smart Roku TV that you can sign up for your streaming channels and you can choose from our stocked DVD's if you prefer to watch them. We also provide free Wi-Fi. The great outdoor deck wraps around the living room with a propane grill and lounging and outdoor furniture for those BBQ's or coffee on the deck. Because we are so convenient to Hwy. 82 you will experience some traffic noise during the day that dies down in the late afternoon and evening. You'll probably experience some wildlife too.

Dogs are welcome and will love the convenient fenced yard that you'll enjoy for your pets. We prefer 2 dogs max at the cabin, however, the number of dogs is subject to approval. There is a 25.00 per dog/per stay fee. VRBO can add 1 dog to your reservation and I can send you a fee request for any additional dogs. We don't allow dogs on our furniture or beds but we do supply some sheets in case you need to protect these areas. Outside under the house is our game room with a small pool/ping pong table plus lots of other games and a tv with DVD's to relax and enjoy . Kids and adults really enjoy the game room.

Cloudcroft can be quite snowy during the winter months. Please be aware from November - March you may require an AWD or a 4x4 vehicle depending on our snowfall. There is room for 2 vehicles, a car or a truck.

Please keep your distance from Elk/deer/bear.
Racoons/bear can come if food or trash is left anywhere outside. They can be vicious. DO NOT FEED.
Do not leave your dog in the yard alone. We have Bears. Keep your vehicle locked and don't leave food inside your car.

One security camera is pointed at outdoor stair/parking/front gate, and 2nd is pointed down the outside stairs at the back door with noise decibel monitor, in common area for our cabin. No cameras or recording devices inside the cabin/deck/game rm. The cameras are visible.

Bedroom 1 features a queen-size memory foam mattress and a door that leads out to your own quaint porch. Perfect for grabbing a blanket, some hot cocoa, a book, and snuggling up in the chair. If you need to work while here, our desk gives you the space to do so while in the privacy of the bedroom.

Bedroom 2 loves dreamers from 0-99 with two sets of bunk beds (4 beds in total) featuring memory foam mattresses and lots of cozy blankets. A pack and play is also available in this room.

This is a newly updated townhome with vaulted ceilings that boats 1365 Sq Feet and it feels even bigger. It has 2 large bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms (1 downstairs and 1 upstairs) plus a loft. Both bathrooms have a tub to take a bath in. It easily sleeps 6 with 2 queen beds and 2 twin beds. We know everyone is different so we have tried to include a variety of pillows and bed types. There are beds from Ghost bed, American Bedding, Layla, and Ashley furniture.

It's well appointed and has new appliances that include a full size fridge, microwave, oven, washer/dryer, toaster, Keurig machine, 2 smart TV's and much more. It has an electric fireplace with multiple settings. There is also a water softener and a reverse osmosis water filter so no need to buy or bring drinking water.

It's also in an AMAZING location that is within walking distance of nature trails and the golf course but its also less than a mile from the center of town. We are a family / pet friendly home. We have included a desk where you or your kids can do schoolwork or just surf the web. We also have pet bowls, a kennel and even a pet bed for your convenience. The back door goes right out to the large enclosed porch and the stairs provide easy access to let your dogs out. To the right of the back steps is the golf course and to the left is multiple trails to venture out on.

There is also a retro arcade for your kids or your inner kid :)

The private deck provides relaxation with a small yard for dogs. Cats are not allowed.

Our Cloudcroft home is in a great location, close to town and near The Lodge with its fine dining and golf. It sleeps 6 and has a large den fireplace with comfortable seating and plenty of firewood just out the back porch door. The kitchen is well stocked and bar seating makes for great family togetherness while the dining table seats 6 for yummy home-cooked meals. We are near the end of the road and the beginning of the national forest with hiking trails and all sorts of wildlife.

The space
This house was built in 1905 and it has some quirks. Up here we call that mountain living. While our cabin isn’t a new build, we love the cozy vibe and strive to provide you with a clean and comfortable place to stay while you enjoy all Cloudcroft has to offer. The bedroom offers a comfortable king bed along with a closet. The kitchen has the basics: dishes, silverware, glasses, pot and pans. The bathroom has a shower. Please note: the bathroom is not attached to the bedroom. There is a fireplace insert, but wood is not provided. We ask that if you do not have experience using a fireplace to use caution and not over build the fire. If you are bringing small children please be aware it gets very hot and will burn them if touched.

For longer stays guests may request access to the washer/dryer.

The space
During the winter months, November thru the end of March, an AWD or 4x4 vehicle may be required due to snow possibilities.

We had so much fun decorating Teddy Cloud in a Santa Fe style with lots of Mexican tile and vivid colors that will make your stay unique. There is pretty much everything you could need to cook those wonderful meals to eat in the turquoise dining cove. Lots and lots of storage in the kitchen space makes it easy to get around when preparing your family meals. You'll have wifi (because we can't live without it), and you can watch Roku Smart tv from your accounts or watch movies from our DVD's to go with your late night popcorn or hot chocolate. The living room is really comfy, and the kids (or adults) can go in the downstairs game room to hang out and play pool, ping pong, watch DVD's and other fun games. The upstairs king-size bed makes it easy to want to sleep in, and the 1/2 bath is really handy (slanted roof and all) so you're not running up and down stairs all night. Listen for the bugling of elk in the evenings. It's really something to hear. Families of deer and beautiful birds, including humming birds, love to show you how happy they are to live in the forest. It's easy to see how beautiful the forest is on the ample deck that wraps around two sides of the house while you barbecue on the gas grill or rock in the double rocker before sitting outdoors to eat.

While we DO NOT accept third-party reservations, we welcome others.


There is a 25.00 per dog/ per stay fee that can be paid through airbnb. One charge can be added to your reservation and we can ask for additional dog fees separately . Maximum 2 small to large dogs. Need approval from owner for more than 2 dogs. Your dogs must be crated if left unattended inside. Do not have your dogs in the yard while you're gone because of wild animals in the area.


**The neighborhood is peaceful so the roads by our cabin are not for recreational motorcycle riding.

**Our location is handy from Hwy. 82 so there can be some road noise from it, however it does die down in the late afternoon and evenings. There are other dogs in the area so you may hear occasional barking from them as well as your own pets.

Sacramento Switchback is a small apartment nestled just 8 minutes from the beautiful Cloudcroft community. We are Cloud Climbing Railroad RV and Cabin Park right off the highway, it is easily accessible all year around. Everything you need for an enchanting weekend is located on site. We have a short hiking trail that is superb for an evening walk

The space
We are an RV and Cabin park. While your interior space to stay is completely private, the property is shared by other guests staying in the park. There are only seven RV spaces so it is homey. This is not a stand alone cabin.

Guest access
There is no fence between our home and the cabin but there is space between. You are more than welcome to roam around the cabin. There are hiking trails on property for guest use. There is a commons area yard that has a small fire pit and charcoal grill available to guests (weather and forest permitting).

Other things to note
The property itself has an RV park instated on it so there may also be other visitors in their own space on the property. We are located right off the highway. We own two dogs that live on property, a small french bulldog and a german shepherd, both are super friendly however they are usually kept out of the way unless guests let us know that they enjoy pets!

Simply Relax is a simple, inviting concept. We hope you will venture in and let the stress of everyday life go. There is wifi and a smart tv in which you are welcome to log onto your favorite tv platform. There is keyless entry and with the assistance of the smart home assistant you can change the thermostat or get directions to one of our favorite places to eat! The cozy chairs by the big windows will quickly become a favorite place to enjoy a book or a Black Bear Coffee. From the front door you can be on several trails in less than a mile. There are two forms of heat- forced air and a wall heater in case the power happens to go out. The sofa sleeper makes into a full size bed.

There is a level 2 EV charger on the property. Please let us know if you would like to use the EV charger so that we can turn it on. We charge .25 cents a kWh. This is a ChargePoint Level 2 charger and will tell us the exact amount used during your stay.

You will have complete access to one parking space, the Relax house and it's outdoor space including a propane grill with table and chiars. There is a shared driveway to other parking spaces and two RV spots.

Welcome to our Casita in the Clouds. This is a Modern, Rustic, Industrial mountain getaway, newly built and completed at the end of 2024, located about 7 miles past Cloudcroft between Cloudcroft and Mayhill. This Casita is ideal for "adults" who seek to escape the demanding world of finance.

Note: All-wheel drive or four-wheel drive is required during the winter months in this area, as NMDOT does not plow the streets daily. We do not refund because guests can not access the Casita due to snow or not having the proper vehicle for the winter months.

Pets: We allow pets, but due to "severe allergies" with the hosts, we only allow short-haired or hypoallergenic pets like poodles at this time. "PLEASE MESSAGE THE HOST BEFORE RESERVING IF YOU HAVE A PET WITH LONG HAIR!"

Due to fire restrictions, there is no use of an outdoor grill at this time.

There is NO SMOKING OR VAPING of any kind in this Casita or on the property right outside of this Casita. If you are a smoker, you can smoke in your vehicle, but read the note. (NOTE: If you are a smoker, sometimes smoke is on clothes, etc. If we detect smoke in the Casita, it will require us to Ozone the Casita, and we will charge you a fee of $200 for the extra cleaning services if we detect smoke. The hosts have allergies to smoking of any kind and are very sensitive to it. So we highly recommend booking another Airbnb if you are a heavy smoker.

The Headboard and nightstand have device charging stations with plenty of outlets and USB cables for your devices while the linen cabinet with closet space for clothing, includes an iron, extra eco-friendly high thread count linens, and a local artist display case with art pieces from local artist for sale

The bathroom has a custom lighted walk-in shower with multi-head shower panel, glass door, and tiki shower seat with storage along with a full LED lighted bathroom on individual switches and an HVL, custom artistic cabinet with bowel sink, large vanity mirror, and a lighted anti stream soft close medicine cabinet with device plug and charging outlets.

The Living/Dining area hosts an added sleeper loveseat, 180° swiveling 50-inch super high definition 4K LED smart TV with a sound bar and bistro-style dining table seating for two. Under the guest books is a coat and shoe area. Included is central propane heating with multiple eco-friendly DC ceiling fans. The entire house is on a water softener. The guest signing area has an iPad with QR codes for links to the Airbnb listing, the internet password, and videos on how the appliances work in the Casita. (The internet password and house information/rules are also listed in the guest books, in English and in Spanish)

The kitchen has a multi-functioning kitchen sink, with a water filter, an induction two-burner countertop stove, with a pot filler, and a full-capacity dishwasher. The kitchen includes all utensils, and dinnerware, with induction-style pans, and pots. Also includes a full convection air fryer, an 1100-watt microwave, and a wine cooler and wine service set.

Outside you will find a large parking area, a 50-amp Tesla charger with multiple EV adapters for your electric vehicle needs, and a private outdoor entertainment area surrounded by a privacy fence that includes 2 lounge chairs, an infrared sauna, and a 4-person outdoor table. On the porch are ski racks, a shoe and glove air dryer, and two ski holders.

NOTE:

Again, we can not stress this enough. All-wheel drive or four-wheel drive is required during winter months in this area if there is snow on the ground as NMDOT does not plow the streets daily. We do not refund because guests can not access the Casita due to snow or not having the proper vehicle during winter months.

Snow in the outdoor entertainment area during winter months is very common. The host does not remove snow, guests are responsible for snow removal if access to these areas is required. Also, water lines can freeze during extreme cold temperatures and/or possible power outages. The hosts have taken normal precautions to prevent freezing and a generator is on the property that the host can start during power outages (provided the host is there to start the generator), but be aware that power outages, loss of water, and/or freezing pipes do happen in rural areas. Please contact the hosts immediately if guests have no water or power and the hosts will do what they can to help. The hosts may ask guests to drip the faucets, if so, please follow the host's instructions. The hosts are not responsible for situations beyond their control and do not offer refunds due to these rare situations.

We are not responsible for you getting stuck in snow or for snow removal. There will be snow and/or ice on the ground and possibly in the outdoor area. So be prepared for snow during winter months.

We are pet-friendly and love all types of animals... So we are now allowing 1 to 2 (2 MAX) small pets, up to 20 lbs, but please note that there is a $25 non-refundable pet deposit and the guest will be responsible for any damages (over the $25 fee) created by your pet during your stay. "No pets or animals are allowed on the furniture, cabinets, or bed." Please make sure to clean up after your pets. 😊 Also, note that there are dogs, cats, and the local wildlife in the area and the fenced yard behind the casita, please keep your pet on a leash while outdoors.

Guests have full access to the enclosed yard with tables, lounge chairs, and sauna (under construction). A large parking lot directly in front of the Casita.

If you have an Electric Vehicle. The 48amp 220v Stage 2 EV Charger is attached to the front of the Casita and has a Tesla adapter for Tesla models: Model S, Model 3, Model X, and Model Y, and any EV using the North American Charging Standard (NACS). The host has also provided multiple EV adapters available that guests have access to located in a drawer inside the Casita.

NOTE:

You can only access the EV Charger with a special "Guest EV Access Card." Let the host know you will be using your EV and the access card will be in the Casita for you to use during your stay.

Due to fire restrictions, there is no use of an outdoor grill at this time.

Snow in the outdoor entertainment area during the winter months is very common. The host does not remove snow; guests are responsible for snow removal to access these areas. Also, water lines can freeze during extreme cold temperatures and/or possible power outages. The hosts have taken normal precautions to prevent freezing and a generator is on the property during power outages (guests do not have access to power the generator on and is only available if the host is available to power it on), but be aware that power outages, loss of water, and/or freezing pipes do happen in rural areas. Please contact the hosts immediately if guests have no water or power, and the hosts will do what they can to help. The hosts may ask guests to drip the faucets; if so, please follow the host's instructions. The host is not responsible for acts of nature or situations out of their control.

We are not responsible for snow removal, or if you get stuck in the snow. Make sure you prepare for winter properly.

We are pet-friendly and love all types of animals... (PLEASE SEE NOTE ABOVE!) So we are now allowing 1 to 2 (2 MAX) small pets, up to 25 lbs, but please note that there is a $100 non-refundable pet deposit/cleaning fee, and the guest will be responsible for any damages (over the $100 fee) created by your pet during your stay. "No pets or animals are allowed on the furniture, cabinets, or bed." Please make sure to clean up after your pets. 😊 Also, note that there are dogs, cats, and the local wildlife in the area, and in the fenced yard behind the casita. Please keep your pet on a leash while outdoors.

Note on temperature control: This Casita is heated by a propane ventless furnace and a MiniSplit. There is ventilation built in to vent the furnace (if the furnace is in use), but you are more than welcome to crack a window if you want. We do ask that you DO NOT adjust the furnace to an extremely high temperature, as it can cause the furnace's pilot light to go out, possibly damage the furnace, or even worse, cause harm to guests or the property. If the pilot light goes out, it will require the host to come and relight it (do not attempt to relight the pilot light yourself). The propane will shut off automatically until the pilot light is re-lit. The furnace has been pre-set to a very comfortable temperature, but if you require more warmth, please use the provided electric space heater and/or electric blankets to get warmer. If the furnace's pilot light goes out, please contact the host(s) immediately, and we will do our best to come re-light it for you. If we are not available, be patient, and we will be there as soon as possible. Use the electric heater in the meantime.

Personal note:

This home is in the Sacramento Mountains; its approximate elevation is 7,860' above sea level, and it has cooler weather here at higher altitudes. We understand that not everyone is accustomed to higher altitudes and weather patterns in the mountains. It can get cold quickly, it can rain or even snow without notice. So please dress accordingly and bring your warmer clothing for nighttime. Please do not turn the furnaces up high, complaining it is cold while wearing shorts and tank tops.

Also, emergency information and the Casita's address are located in the guest information area on a picture frame. Always call 911 first in the case of a severe emergency, then the host.

Escape to the mountains, this peaceful duplex (my wife and I live on property) is only minutes to downtown Cloudcroft. Two bedrooms, each with a queen bed, tub/shower and fully furnished kitchen. Spacious patio with gas grill and comfortable furniture to enjoy the cozy climate of the Sacramento Mountains. Great Wi-Fi for all your devices and a smart TV to stream your favorites. Pet friendly.

The space
My wife and I have prepared this space as your home away from home. Comfortable beds and furniture, fully-stocked kitchen with gas stove/oven, microwave, Keurig coffee maker (pods supplied), full-size refrigerator, large screen TV for streaming your most popular apps, plush towels in the bathroom, shower and jetted tub. But where you'll enjoy it most is on the large patio soaking up the sun and cool breeze.

Guest access
You will access your 1000 square foot cabin using the railroad-tie stairs to the left side of the driveway. The green door on the left of the patio has the coded lock (code provided with check-in information). Once you've entered the cabin, the stairs on your right lead upstairs to where my wife and I live. We keep the door at the top of the stairs locked, and will not disturb your stay unless you need us.

Other things to note
My wife and I have two boxer dogs that live upstairs with us. We are installing new flooring upstairs with sound absorption underlayment. I can't say you won't hear us at all, but we promise we live a pretty quiet life.

With an updated cabin feel you are close to the woods and to town all at the same time. Wild horses and elk can often be seen wandering down the street eating grass.

The space
This is a house with two separate units. Each unit has a private drive and entrance. Unit A (upstairs) has 100s of 5 star reviews! Unit B is newly remodeled in beautiful accent greens and has two bedrooms and a full bathroom with walk in shower. The Master bedroom has a very comfortable California King bed with closet with plenty of room for clothing. The second bedroom has a bunk bed with a built in desk and roomy closet. There are a few books and toys for the kids to enjoy. The main living area is an open concept with a Natuzzi leather couch and 55” tv. There is a dining table with four chairs and also an island with two additional chairs in the kitchen. The kitchen has a new full size refrigerator, stove with oven and a microwave. There is also a set of full size washer and dryer for your convenience. This unit has direct access to the beautiful backyard and both a swinging bench and picnic table. Also the backyard may be shared with other guests and their pets during your stay.

Guest access
Unit B is located on the bottom floor and you have full access of the private Unit B and to the lower carport.

Other things to note
4WD or AWD recommend in winter months.
Please note that while you have private access to your unit, there may also be guests staying in Unit A. Because this is a country cabin, you may hear a little noise from upstairs. We have asked the guests above you to respect your privacy and ask that you respect theirs as well. Also the backyard may be shared with other guests and their pets during your stay.
