Beautiful central cozy swiss apartment in great location within the famous luxurious village of Gstaad. Minutes away from the village and the train station and with views of the amazing Gstaad Palace and the swiss mountains. It has the classic swiss wooden interior just perfect for a luxurious, cozy, relaxing stay! More specifically it has an amazing spacious modern living room, a kitchen with a kitchen table, a cozy dining room for eight people and two bedrooms with two bathrooms. On the second floor there is a cozy office area and two bedrooms with two single beds with one bathroom. Last but not least there is big balcony surrounding the apartment where you can sit back, relax and enjoy the beautiful swiss mountain views! - This chalet is located in Maielsgrund, about two minutes by car from the famous ski resort of Gstaad.
- Gstaad lies surrounded by mountains, in the beautiful Saanenland, which belongs to the Bernese Oberland. Gstaad is attractive throughout the year for all age groups.
- In the summertime, the mountains invite you to take longer and shorter walks. The many terraces offer an unbelievable, unique view over the whole region.
- Among the highlights of the Gstaad year calendar are the Beachvolley tournament, the tennis tournament and the Menuhin Festival, which is an absolute must for music lovers.
- In winter, ski runs on the super-groomed slopes are an unforgettable experience for young and old alike. For those who prefer to take it easy, there are horse-drawn sleigh rides around the romantic Lauenensee or many winter hiking trails in the dream region.

This spacious six bedroom and two bathroom house offers you plenty of space to relax and enjoy. The cozy living area with fireplace invites you to linger and creates a relaxing atmosphere. With a small garden and two terraces, you can experience the fresh air and breathtaking views to the fullest. Whether outdoor breakfast or grilling at the fireplace, you always keep an eye on the beautiful Bernese Alps. The fully equipped kitchen with oven and dishwasher has an additional small pantry for food storage. Washer, dryer and many more little things will make your stay as pleasant as possible.
Parking is available right in front of the house (2-3 cars possible) and in winter you can park comfortably on the street. The nearest bus station is a 5 minute walk away – ideal for uncomplicated excursions and exploring the area.
The chalet is now family-owned in its third generation and has been our family's beloved retreat ever since. It is fully equipped and in our opinion offers everything you need for a longer and relaxing stay in the mountains - without much frills but with a lot of coziness. The chalet apartment in a unique location offers clear views over the traffic-free promenade of Gstaad, over the legendary hotels Palace and Alpina as well as over the village and the greenery of its own garden. Surrounded by mountains, the house is in the heart of Gstaad in the immediate vicinity of restaurants, cafes, bars, boutiques and all kinds of shopping. The train station is a two-minute walk away
The space
The Gstaad photographer Jacques Naegeli built the residential and commercial building in 1914 and ran his photography business there with a postcard publishing house, a photographic studio and his own laboratory. On the upper floors he lived with his wife, his two daughters and the housekeeper. From his descendants, the attic apartment was carefully renovated and furnished comfortably. The tasteful furnishings offer an urban ambience in the beautiful mountains of Gstaad. Exquisite pictures of Naegeli also lead the guest to a time travel through the area and through distant countries.
Guest access
The apartment accessible via staircase is located on the 2nd floor of the house. The solid wood floor made of local larch wood creates a warm atmosphere. The first bedroom is equipped with a queen size bed and direct access to shower and toilet. The second bedroom has two single beds and has direct access to the covered balcony with evening sun and views into the garden. A separate bathroom and a separate toilet are available.
The modern kitchen has all the kitchen utensils, fondue set, fridge, convection oven, dishwasher, coffee maker, dining table for six and direct access to the covered balcony overlooking the promenade. The large corner sofa in the cosy living room invites you to linger with digital TV, Internet and music system (Aux-In/Bluetooth/Apple Play).
In the private parking lot in the garden, a vehicle can be parked directly at the house. A washing machine with tumble function is located in the basement.
