We cooked every night, and found the range of cooking utensils and equipment to be very much above the standard we usually find in holiday flats. The bed was comfortable and the facilities are all of a very high standard. Karl and his wife have clearly gone through a lot of effort and thought to make the apartment as nice and as welcoming as they possibly could. It has been fully renovated to a high standard including new windows which makes it warm and cosy in the evenings. It was quiet during our entire stay and the communal parts of the building are cleaned daily so it has a very well kept feel throughout. Everyone we met was very pleasant and polite. Karl is a great communicator, very responsive to any queries or requests and is a genuinely nice person to deal with. We can honestly say there were no issues about the booking process, meeting the local agent (who was also very responsive), with the accommodation or with anything at all. The 2 rooms, living room and bedroom, open onto a large south-facing balcony from where you can admire the lake, the Tovière slopes, Val claret, La Grande Motte, paragliding flights, torchlight descents. The apartment is very bright, sunny from the first rays and calm. It is on the 8th and last floor and there is little or no noise at all from the corridor because there are only 3 apartments per landing.
Arrival at the apartment on the first day and departure on the last day are made in the basement. The car arrives at the bottom of the elevator, it unloads in the shelter, which is very significant in bad weather.
During the stay the car is useless, everything is done on foot or with the free shuttle.

The kitchenette is well equipped with what one needs for simple one / two pot cooking! The communication with the host, Mr Amado, was excellent. He was highly responsive and incredibly helpful throughout the process, including helping us to sort out hire of sheets and towels, which we realized quite late, were not included in the rental. The greeting at the property by the building manager, Mr Simonetti was very good - he was incredibly helpful. All in all, it was a fabulous week of skiing in a great resort."

- "We (myself and my wife) stayed in this apartment for a month in January this year for a ski holiday. The apartment was comfortable, clean and equipped with everything we needed especially if you prefer to budget by self-catering. Heating worked well and could be controlled according to individual requirements. Mountain view from the small balcony at the rear is a nice bonus. Ski lockers and a ski boot room near entrance to the building and lift access to the apartment are very convenient. If you come with a car, secure underground parking in an adjacent building can be arranged in advance with the concierge (this is somewhat cheaper than the main underground parking facility for the village but be aware that the security access code is changed each week). Only complaint, especially for older skiers such as ourselves, is that access to the slopes is not as quick and easy as some reviewers would have you believe.It is an uphill trip of at about 10 minutes to the nearest lift (Tuffs). And walking with your skis on the village footpaths can be hazardous because they are often quite icy and the local authorities do a very poor job of making them safe for pedestrians. In particular, access through the car park outside the apartment block was completely covered in ice during much of our stay. A free local ski bus service, such as those provided in many other European ski resorts, would certainly alleviate the issue."

My one bedroom apartment is in the heart of Lavachet.
The apartment is colourful and bright with a modern kitchen and everything you'd need for your stay. I welcome everyone who wishes to enjoy a stay in the lovely resort of Tignes!

The space
My one bedroom apartment is well equipped and has everything you need for your stay. The open plan kitchen has a large integrated fridge and large freezer. It has a 4 ring induction hob, full size fan oven, integrated dishwasher, toaster, kettle, cafetière, blender, and plenty of cooking utensils, pots, pans, cutlery and crockery.

In the living area there is a double sofa bed. The windows face South, looking up to the Grande Balme so the apartment benefits from plenty of sunlight during the day. There is a flat screen TV with UK Freeview channels available and French terrestrial channels. There is a fold away dining table stored at the side of the breakfast bar to accommodate all 4 guests for a meal, or you can place all 4 stools around the large kitchen island. There are two height adjustable stools at the breakfast bar which can also be used at the fold away dining table, two extra stools for the breakfast bar stored next to the TV, and two more chairs stored on the balcony for the fold away dining table.

The bedroom has a double bed (140cm wide), a chest of drawers and fitted wardrobe. There is a door out onto the balcony from here and the main windows face South with views up to the Glacier and Grand Balme. There is also a second West facing window in the bedroom.

The bathroom has a bath with dual shower attachment, wash basin, and the toilet is separate. There is also a washing machine in the bathroom.

The L shaped balcony runs across the living area from which there is a door outside, and also runs down the side of the apartment to the bedroom. It benefits from fantastic views across the mountains and is perfect for drinks out on the balcony in the sunshine.

There is a ski locker in the entrance way of the building.

The apartment has a fast, free and private fibre optic wifi connection.

I provide bed linen and one towel for each guest. There is a selection of herbs, spices and store cupboard basics such as tea, coffee, sugar, flour, oil etc to get you started for your stay. I also provide a full range of cleaning and disinfecting products to use in the apartment during your stay.

If you are bringing a pet with you I ask for a 50€ deposit via Airbnb after booking, this is refundable to you via Airbnb after check out if no problems arise from your pet staying in the apartment.

The train is a fantastic way to come to Tignes.
Tignes is one of the best-served stations in the Alps by train, with direct rail trips possible from Paris, London, Brussels and Amsterdam... as well as other cities like Grenoble and Lyon.

The closest railway station to Tignes is Bourg St Maurice, about 40 minutes by bus or taxi.

The train trip is fast and reliable: you can reach Bourg St Maurice from Paris by TGV in less than 5 hours or travel from London to Bourg St Maurice on the Eurostar direct ski train in just over 8 hours, day or night. Train is the most eco-responsible way to travel, which reduces your carbon emissions and helps protect the mountains and the planet.

Daily trains, TGV, Eurostar and Thalys arrive to Bourg Saint Maurice daily (station closest to Tignes = 30 kilometers).

Charming renovated 21 m² studio with sunny balcony located in Tignes le Lavachet (5 min walk from Tignes le Lac) in a small very quiet residence on the 2nd floor, close to shops and restaurants.
In summer, the resort is very lively with the Bike Park and the Lake.
In winter, the ski slope starts just behind the residence, with the lifts (Paquis and Chaudannes) a few meters away, as well as the Lavachet slope for beginners (free ski lift).

The space
The studio is ideal for a family (with 1 or 2 young children), a little small for 3 adults. You will have at your disposal a sofa bed (very comfortable) and two foldaway bunk beds, a kitchen equipped with microwave, glass-ceramic stovetop, refrigerator, dishwasher and filter coffee machine and Nespresso and a bathroom.
We provide you with pillows and duvets (220 x 240 and 140 x 200).
The studio was renovated before the 2017 winter season, with beautification work before each winter season.

Completely renovated studio in Tignes Val Claret at the foot of the slopes and La Grande Motte, 3 people, south-facing, balcony, all comforts in a small residence (Les Genépis). 1st floor with elevator. Weekly rate, summer and winter. Rental only from Saturday to Saturday.
