It is also genuinely a ski-in, ski-out boot room - although is slightly more painful if you need to get to childrens ski school which are up the hill, making it way, way quicker to actually march up the road instead and take a shortcut from there. On the downside, the Plein Sad seems to have some difficulties. The bath had a lovely selection of hair in it, one of the towels was heavy soiled, with large yellow marks on it, and numerous other small treats awaited under beds etc. where the cleaners obviously just hadn't cleaned. The shower head looked modern and huge, but was just plain useless giving little more than a small selection of drips. Even after the maintenance team had attended to it, it was only marginally improved. The reception desk were superficially helpful in the way that a large impersonal 3* complex would aim for, but way short of the pro-active approach expected for 5 stars. Overall, good facilities, but terribly let down by its team. "

- "We stayed in the Valbel this year - previously in the Village Montana Premier - both of these were refurbished appartments with great views. The skiing is great - especially as the boot rooms are practically on the slopes and the main ski schools are all right next to the appartments. Perfect for families - no need to carry the kids skis miles after they are tired and grumpy. The appartment was well equiped - could have done with a cheese grater - but the was the only thing missing! Great appartments - valbel slightly bigger than the premier and allowed the kids to have a proper room to themselves and more storage. It was was worth the extra few hundred. Would really recommend the appartment."

It is ideally located near the bottom of the magic carpet and Pioneers chair lift and really is ski in/out. The room was spacious and extremely well equipped with everything you would need in the kitchen. We even had a balcony overlooking the piste. The room did not have a hairdryer so bring one (like we did) if you need that. Also, the reception staff were so friendly and helpful. The only negatives were the noise at night, lots of drunk teenagers coming down the ski slope at all hours shouting and screaming. The resort really needs to get on top of this, there is a big late night drinking culture. It’s great to have fun, but not at the cost of others who are trying to sleep. They need to fine people or bars who are disrespectful of others. The lobby and locker room is chaotic on change over day - tons of people hanging around, some sleeping on the floor, waiting for their transport. I don’t think the 10am check out helps with this! Finally, the ski locker room is small and cramped and pretty awful in the morning. There are no boot heaters or any hooks or shelves to hang boots or helmets etc. This means your skis drip water into your boots if you are not careful! Overall, we were very happy with our stay and would come again. "

Cons Constant cigarette smoke come through the kitchen and bathroom vents. I had a blocked nose throughout, really unhappy that my 11 yrs old exposed. It has a living room with a fully equipped kitchen (fridge, induction hob, convection oven, microwave oven, hob, dishwasher, Nespresso + filter coffee maker, toaster, kettle, raclette) and a sitting area with a sofa bed tilting of 160 x 200, plenty of storage, a LED FULL HD TV 105 cm and BLUE RAY DVD player.

An alcove, separated from the main room by a door with brick partition with 2 bunk beds (90 X 200). The toilets are separate. The shower room consists of a vanity, a walk-in shower, a heated towel rail and a hair dryer.

- "Thierry’s comms was excellent from the start to the end. The apartment is not huge, but is nicely furnished and has everything needed for a week’s stay, including full kitchen facilities (but bring your own loo roll, dishwasher tablets, washing-up liquid). There were three of us and we had choice of two double beds and a double bunk. The reclining bed is very comfy. Nice and close to the slopes, and to the Caron bar/shopping area. We’d definitely stay here again - was good value."
