It is also genuinely a ski-in, ski-out boot room - although is slightly more painful if you need to get to childrens ski school which are up the hill, making it way, way quicker to actually march up the road instead and take a shortcut from there. On the downside, the Plein Sad seems to have some difficulties. The bath had a lovely selection of hair in it, one of the towels was heavy soiled, with large yellow marks on it, and numerous other small treats awaited under beds etc. where the cleaners obviously just hadn't cleaned. The shower head looked modern and huge, but was just plain useless giving little more than a small selection of drips. Even after the maintenance team had attended to it, it was only marginally improved. The reception desk were superficially helpful in the way that a large impersonal 3* complex would aim for, but way short of the pro-active approach expected for 5 stars. Overall, good facilities, but terribly let down by its team. "

It is ideally located near the bottom of the magic carpet and Pioneers chair lift and really is ski in/out. The room was spacious and extremely well equipped with everything you would need in the kitchen. We even had a balcony overlooking the piste. The room did not have a hairdryer so bring one (like we did) if you need that. Also, the reception staff were so friendly and helpful. The only negatives were the noise at night, lots of drunk teenagers coming down the ski slope at all hours shouting and screaming. The resort really needs to get on top of this, there is a big late night drinking culture. It’s great to have fun, but not at the cost of others who are trying to sleep. They need to fine people or bars who are disrespectful of others. The lobby and locker room is chaotic on change over day - tons of people hanging around, some sleeping on the floor, waiting for their transport. I don’t think the 10am check out helps with this! Finally, the ski locker room is small and cramped and pretty awful in the morning. There are no boot heaters or any hooks or shelves to hang boots or helmets etc. This means your skis drip water into your boots if you are not careful! Overall, we were very happy with our stay and would come again. "

Very clean, comfy beds and in an ideal location for us. You can ski to and from the apartment and it is right next to the sports centre and very close to all the shops. The block is very quiet and the only noise was a little street noise, with occasional people walking up and down there, which I didn't hear later than about 11pm. You can sleep 7, I guess, with a new sofabed, the little double-room and triple bunks. The owners have really taken care of this apartment. I think an information booklet might be useful as I wasn't sure how to use the new induction hob and microwave. I thoroughly recommend this apartment. I would definitely book again."

- "great apartment, a few minutes walk into the centre of VT, and ski in/out track at the rear of the building" - "I reserved the appartement about 5 months in advance through Homeaway. After having my reservation accepted, I never got any message telling me how to check in etc. About one month before the planned vacation I sent a message through the site to ask what the procedure was, I never got a reply. I had also asked this with the initial reservation, but also there I got no reply. Then I had a motorcycle accident and broke my foot. It became obvious I could not ski in 3 weeks time, so I again sent a message to Mr Pithoud through the site to see what we should do, again no answer. I also tried calling Mr Pithoud several times, but I kept getting an voicemail response. Luckily I had understood from the other reviews that the check in and keys were done by the Sport 2000 shop in the shopping center, so I called them. They told me that they also could not get in touch with Mr Pithoud, that he was probably out of the country. They were very friendly and told me that there would probably be no problems when I asked them if it would be ok if another family (friends) would stay in the appartement instead of us. I did try several more times to contact mr Pithoud through the site and by phone, and finally I did get a response, but this was only one week before the actual date, which caused quite some stress also with the other family, which needed to know if they could stay there, or if they needed to find another appartement. He was very friendly and everything was fine, which was great, but by this time I had suffered quite some stress.... The appartement was nice I was told, the location is great, and the price was very reasonable. The Sport 2000 people are also very nice and flexible, but please be aware that communication with Mr Pithoud might be difficult, especially through the site. Over a period of 5 months and several questions sent through the site, he never replied once. This I found quite unusual/surprising. Anyways, in the end everything worked out very well, and I was very happy that my friends could take over the reservation, so thank you for that mr Pithoud."

If you get nothing else from this review, then know that I have given it 5 stars for good reason, it was spacious, comfortable and well equipped Now for the longer review: Bear in mind that we are a group of 12 students traveling on a relatively small budget! Pro's: -Easily sleeps 12 -Comes with dishwasher, and lots of cooking accessories like 2 8-person grills for breakfast, multiple coffee makers, good oven + microwave -Can seat >12 people, the table folds out to almost twice its size, and along with the sofa and stools we managed to get 18 people (us + 6 guest) around for dinner, and it was comfortable. There was also cutlery and plates for this number! -Dishwasher makes the evenings so much easier -Not all cramped in, 3 separate double rooms, with plenty of space, as well as a bunk room for 4 which would be perfect for kids if you are a family. -Large area by the door for 12 skiis and boots, and plenty of cupboard room to store other things like food + helmets -Everything is very modern. It feels homely, not like some others where the bear minimum is done. Con's -Small room gets quite hot at night if the heating is on since it doesn't have a window -Lifts in complex are awful (take up to 5 mins to come!) and we had problems with drunk people being loud and trying to open our door at night That second point is a little unfair as it is nothing to do with the apartment, more the complex itself. But it is something to keep in mind if you are a family unit and are looking for a quiet accommodation. For young adults and groups of friends who want to take part in the nightlife, it is fine. Other points. If you arrive late you need to pick up the keys from a safe. To get there from the temples du soleil, exit the apartment and head uphill, passing a sport 2000, and going under a apartment block that covers the road. there is a frozen fountain about 50m further up the road on the left. turn left here and go inside a public lift complex. take the lifts up and walk along the walkway, past a large turning circle and up a flight of stairs into the main shopping center, with a spar and a swimming pool in it. follow the shopping centre through to the other side, where it exits to the street. directly opposite there is the 'orange skii shop' this is where you pick up the keys, from either a safe (if late) or a man inside. I hope that helps anyone who is confused about where to get keys."

- "Getting in touch with the staff was terrible. Building overall even worst, dirty and old. Room had a couch instead of a bed, half of the lights didnt work. They charge you for sheets and towels. Room was not clean. We tried leaving one day before because of the bad conditions. I wouldnt recommend it at all. I was thinking in asking for a refund. You as hotels.com should mention the fact that this apartment is not part of the hotel/machu pitchu complex! There is no option to get any support if needed. When we just arrived we noticed there is no light in the bathroom. In addition the the shower pipe was clogged and the water accumulated and would pour out in every shower! There were no batteries in the TV remote control and the lockers of the ski storage cabinet was missing!! Group of 4 people has to use their phone’s flash light instead the bathroom light..it’s embarrassing!!! We tried to make a phone call to their service twice but every time they just said “hi ok give me one second “ and and hung up the call! We wrote them several emails, almost every day, they answered maybe once, said that someone will come but no one arrived! Horrible horrible experience, It ruined our whole vacation! So that’s was our experience from this horrible room! I except you as the marketers of this room, to contact them and do something!!"
