Our 2 bedroom family house has history, style and charm. It's located in Castletown, a short walk from Victoria Park, Doxey Marshes and Stafford Train Station.

It's beautifully designed to mix authentic original Victorian features with a well-equipped modern kitchen-diner and bathroom. Workspace is available with a good WIFI connection or you can relax in the informal garden, with birds and wildlife in abundance. The front door opens to a hallway containing quarry-type black and white tiles. Three doors lead off the hallway, these go to the sitting room, cellar, and kitchen-dining area.

The sitting room has the original floorboards and fireplace (not in use). There is a TV and a small double sofa bed.

The kitchen is well equipped and fully fitted with a full-size fridge freezer, freestanding cooker, butler sink, and washer-dryer. Exposed brickwork reveals original features from circa 170 years ago. In the dining area, you'll find a log burner, dining table and comfortable seating. From the kitchen, you can access the delightful woodland garden. The garden is unfenced and neighbours have a right of way across the garden.

The stairs lead from the kitchen-dining area to the landing area upstairs. There you will find two good-sized bedrooms and a bathroom. Each bedroom has a small workspace, these are suitable for laptop use. The master bedroom has a king-size bed and the second bedroom has two single beds. The bathroom has a walk-in shower with a seat and a bath with a view into the garden. There is storage in the cupboard below the sink and in the mirror cabinet.

We have kept as many original design features as possible, while bringing it up to a comfortable and safe living standard. The house has been rewired and the fire alarms run off the mains electricity. The central heating can be adjusted to your comfort on the landing area. There are fire and carbon monoxide alarms and a fire blanket.

The space
As you step through the door to the entrance hall you will notice the light and airy feel, to your right is a cloakroom for shoes and boots and to hang your coats.
The property is all on one level so it is ideal for anyone with difficulty using stairs
As you walk along the hall you come to a utility room with washing machine and dryer and plenty of storage.
The bedrooms are also off the hall, the first has twin beds with hotel quality linen and plenty of wardrobe space. There is a shower room and a bathroom ensuite, both have freshly laundered towels and hotel style toiletries.
The Master bedroom has a King size Ottoman bed for plenty of storage, a dressing table and hanging rails as well as doors that go straight out to the garden, perfect for breakfast on the patio

Carry on through to the open-concept living room with sleek, contemporary decor, a large flat-screen smart TV, and comfortable seating perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring.
The perfectly formed and well-equipped kitchen has everything you need including a dishwasher, fridge freezer, microwave, oven, hob, kettle and toaster making it the perfect spot to whip up a quick snack or prepare a heart warming dinner. Its also has a breakfast bar, so you can socialise while you cook or work on your laptop
The dining area has a comfortable table and chairs for 4, or you can take your meal out through the bifold doors onto the patio area and admire the stunning architecture of the building. This is where the relaxation really begins, the garden is a great space for entertaining with its very own outside bar, (feel free to bring your own supplies) and a convenient outside toilet. There is a decked area with deck chairs, a patio area with comfortable seating and a cover that can be closed depending on the weather and the garden is fully enclosed so is great for families

Fresh white bed linen and towels are provided (One Bath Sheet and One Hand Towel per person) all hotel quality and hotel-style toiletries are provided as well as a complimentary tea/coffee pack and Dishwashing/detergent packs, toilet roll, kitchen roll, etc.. which will last a couple of days. If you want to do some shopping there are plenty of local shops and supermarkets within a 2-10 minute drive

This well presented two bedroom apartment in a great location, on the first floor, is offering everything you need for your stay, a comfortable and relaxing stay, including an open-plan lounge (with double sofa bed for 2) together with the dining area and kitchen, two bedrooms (double and single beds) and smart bathroom. We offer flexible check-in and check-out times, however where we have guests coming or leaving the same day we may apply check-in times after 15:00 and check-out times before 10:00.

Late check-in needs to be pre-arranged and confirmed with us at least 3 days before arrival and they are subject to the following charges for arrival between these times:
From 19:00 to 22:00 - £40
From 22:00 to 00:00 - £65
From 00:00 to 7:00 - £100

*These prices may differ during public holidays (e.g. Christmas Day the charge will be £100 and checkin has to be before 18:00 latest)
These fees need to be paid in advance and cannot be paid at the property.

If your arrival time is delayed beyond 1 hour then please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate the delay however we may need to re-arrange the check-in time or for you to collect the keys from us if we have other pre-arranged commitments.

If you stay beyond your agreed check-out time you will be liable to pay for an extra night at your average nightly price.

The cleaning fee covers cleaning and preparation of the property for your stay as well as a set of fresh linen and towelling provided for each guest. This includes one set per your stay, should you require additional towelling or linen please request this or if you have opened a fresh pack even if you use only a few items there will be a charge of £30 per pack - each pack contains fresh linen, large and small towels.

Any sort of parties, gatherings or events are strictly not permitted, the property is for accommodation purposes only for the guests staying. This property is located in a residential area and guests are asked to refrain from excessive noise or any activity that would disturb the neighbours. If it's been reported that there are any parties or events or noise disturbance then you may be required to leave the property immediately without the remaining nights being refunded. There is a charge of £500 if any evidence of a party, gathering or event at the property have been found exclusive of any charges relating to damages or additional cleaning costs to get the property in good order again. We trust you will respect the property and neighbours during your stay.

You are required to keep the place reasonably clean and tidy - no dirty dishes left over or excessive rubbish to be disposed of as this is not included in the cleaning charge. If the place is very messy or untidy or there is excessive rubbish to be disposed of then we will need to request an extra cleaning fee.

There is a strictly no smoking policy inside or in any outside spaces (which includes garden spaces, balconies, terraces or patios) belonging to the accommodation, if this policy is not adhered to a charge of GBP 150.00 will be applied.

No pets are allowed unless shown on the listing as permitted or expressly agreed with the owner.

Lost keys, damaged keys or getting locked out will incur a charge starting from £100 for replacement depending on the type of key and time required or getting you back in the property if you have locked yourself out.

Tixall Manor Farm in Tixall, Staffordshire, sleeps nine guests in four bedrooms.

The living areas in this home consist of an open-plan kitchen, dining area and sitting area with an Electric oven, induction hob, microwave, coffee machine, fridge, and a Smart TV, a utility with freezer and washing machine, a sitting room with Smart TV and a selection of games, and a conservatory with hot tub. Perfect for an escape from the hustle and bustle, whilst being minutes walk to the town centre. Easily accessible by train, just 5 minutes walk to Stafford train station and also into Stafford town. Affordable, clean and comfortable with private entrance and all the amenities you would need.

The space
Downstairs offers an open plan kitchen diner and sitting room area, complete with TV, dining table and 2 dining chairs (more available if required), toaster, kettle, oven, fridge freezer, washing machine, sofa. The stairs lead up to the double bedroom and shower room. There is a small landing area with a wardrobe, ironing board and Hoover (should you wish to clean during your stay). The apartment is attached to the main house so it would be great if you could keep any noise to a minimum.

The accommodation is separate to the main house, with its private entrance. The properties are interlinked so we politely ask guests to respect the family household, and likewise we keep noise to a minimum our side.
Parking is available on site however often we do have friends round so parking may not always be avaliable. There is however plenty of unrestricted free parking 20 seconds just before the house on Rowley Avenue.

The apartment is in a converted garage however don't judge a book by its cover. Over 150+ positive reviews and stays we are sure you will be happy staying with us like many others have been.

In the 1600s, this house belonged to Colonel William Careless who hid in the oak tree at nearby Boscobel House with Prince Charles as he was retreating from the battle of Worcester. Charles II later returned to this area as King and stayed in this house.
