Pickmere Country House is a Georgian grade ll listed building dating back to 1772, originally built as a farmhouse, it was the largest of its kind in Cheshire. Commanding picturesque views over the surrounding countryside the small family-run hotel is situated in the centre of the village of Pickmere.

Full English breakfast is included in the price. We are fully licensed selling a selection of wines and also beers from a local micro brewery. There is a pub within easy walking distance and also some great pubs and restaurants all within an 8 minute drive.

The house consists of five floors and ten bedrooms. This includes a bedroom with ensuite that is also attached to its own large fully equipped kitchen and lounge. Perfect for someone working and travelling with you and also for those teenagers or people that enjoy their own space.

There is a master bedroom with ensuite and dressing room and another bedroom which is like a second master with its own freestanding bath, perfect for looking out at the cherry blossom below.

The other 7 bedrooms are all spacious and comfortable with either their own ensuite or with good size family bathrooms.

There is a large kitchen with everything you could need.

A formal lounge that leads onto a study and a spacious dining room and wine room.

To the other side of the house, you have a very big entertaining lounge with large bar, a more formal seating area perfect for chatting, and a huge U shaped sofa to get cosy in front of the real log burning fire and watch a movie. This room is one adults and kids will not want to leave.

Situated 400 yards from the centre of Knutsford and Tatton Entrance where you can explore rural walks or visit the many independent shops, bars and restaurants. Knutsford also has a train station, a cinema and heritage Museum.

This lovely little house with dedicated parking is located a ten minute walk from the attractive centre of Knutsford with its numerous bars and restaurants, Tatton Park national trust property and Knutsford mainline railway station. Many event venues are within a short distance , as is junction 19 of the M6. Manchester airport is a 25min drive away.
Many of our quests have described the little house as ‘sparkling clean, quirky, comfortable and well designed’.

The space
This little house can accommodate up to four people in two bedrooms. The beds are standard doubles at 4'6" x 6' and are made up with crisp, hand finished quality linen. Please note that the stairs are British Standard paddle type & steep, (see photo) and are not suitable for the infirm or for small & unsupervised children.
The accommodation is a great choice for those attending an event, visiting Knutsford, breaking a journey, heading for a flight, needing a break or a place to work ; but whilst the space provides, along with cutlery/glasses & crockery, fruit/granola /coffee/tea making facilities, and has a small fridge, there are ** NO SEPARATE KITCHEN FACILITIES ** available for long term self catering. However there are numerous restaurants/pubs & takeaway options all within easy walking distance.
The property has two lounge chairs & two stools but does not have a high chair or travel cot. One of the upstairs windows opens out at floor level …it has safety bars but may be a hazard for small and unsupervised children.
The little house had its own dedicated WiFi.

The property lies to the rear of our thatched cottage in a separate self contained building. It is accessed via two small sets of steps, lit at night, to the rear of a pretty courtyard.

The little house is supplied with coffee/tea making facilities, a fridge, granola, fresh fruit & milk.
There are no kitchen facilities to prepare hot food. No microwave. No toaster.
Very large suitcases in this small house will be a problem and advise bringing essential items only. There is a wardrobe and storage on the ground floor and taking large cases upstairs is not advised.
