- "When we arrived there was pipe leaking in the ceiling and no heat or hot water. Though they sent maintenance out to fix it and left space 2 heaters (for 4 bedrooms), we had to have various members of our party sleep elsewhere to have heat and hot water. My husband and I stayed as the maintenance was coming back at 8am, which they did and they tried to find the problem but were not able. They did get the heat and hot water to work though, and took the first nights charges off the bill, but this was not the best way to start a vacation. The house itself was as it appeared in pictures. The kitchen was well appointed with most things needed, the decor was nice, the rooms spacious and 2.5 bathrooms was welcomed with 8 travelers. The location was great for our needs.We had one more leak before the end of our stay (night not refunded for this one since heat and hot water still working and they told us not to worry about it and continue to use water) but I feel assured that will be sorted as soon as we left. If you need to be in this area, this is a great space for a family or friends to get together. "

- "We chose this “chic apartment” over a terraced cottage that was 50% cheaper as we thought it was Christmas and we deserved a bit of luxury. We arrived after an 8 hour drive to a terraced house in a poor area. All the bedding and towels were of the poorest quality I had ever seen. The beds were full of hair, pubic and otherwise. The shower tray was filthy with added pubic hair. There were rubbish bags in kitchen cupboards. No kitchen equipment, no potato peeler, corkscrew, utensils, oven trays, grill pan handle. The microwave was unusable as it had exposed rusty metal inside which rendered it dangerous. No hanging facilities, not even a hook on the back of the bedroom doors. No drawers just some shelves in the front bedroom. The bedside light was useless as no socket to plug it into. Too large TV had no live channels just streaming service, so we couldn’t watch Xmas programmes we were looking forward to. Random belt left by previous occupant in bedroom. Strange Tupperware bowl on toilet top. And many, many more problems. After complaining and sleeping elsewhere that night, we were telephoned by the owner apologising for the house with the excuse that he had been travelling. He said that they would have “another deep clean” and bring a hanging rail and would we go and inspect the following afternoon, we agreed. I am running out of space as only 1500 characters so just going to say that it was worse when we went back. VRBO refusing to give us our money back. Stay away!"

Ideally for short stays, due to its size, for those who need to be closer to the Royal Hospital of Bolton for working purposes, my place is 5/8 min distance by car, 17 min walking and 20/30 by public transport. Also near the Bolton University and College at a 15 min walking distance

We mostly host students who come for their PLAB exams and they find the location not too far and affordable. Also, professional such as nurses or guests working close by.

Also, pretty close to the Town Centre at a 25 min walking, 10/15 by public transport and 10 by car.

Easy access to Manchester City Centre by train approx. a 30 min trip from Bolton train station. To Manchester Airport is approx. 40 min .

The room is functional, has plenty of natural sun light, but a black blind is available to have a continuous good night of sleep while the sun rises. A large desk and chair also at the room working as a work place.

TV available. Please, be considerate towards us (hosts and guests) and mind the TV volume. Also, make sure is off before you fall asleep ;-)

In the bedrooms you'll also find a kettle, bags of tea, coffee, sugar, milk and cream, mug and a glass.

A clean shared bathroom is available and all basic amenities in there are to be used. Separate towels also provided.

I have a toaster and a sandwich maker, kettle and all other utensils to prepare and serve their own brekkie!

This modern, newly refurbished home with free parking, opposite 3 large fields and a 20 minute stroll away from Jumbles Reservoir, is perfect if you enjoy exploring.

The area also boasts award winning pubs, spa and brand new restaurants. There's a small supermarket down the road too.

Single room situated in Bromley Cross in the North West of England, close to local amenities and public transport. There are frequent buses into Bolton and a direct train link into both Bolton, (10 min), and Manchester, (30 min). Use of all the facilities is available. My place is good for business travellers and solo adventurers. It is an excellent base to explore the North West further as it is close to several North West attractions. Also there are beautiful walks from the doorstep.

Being on the edge of the West Pennine Moors the house is surrounded by beautiful countryside and offers beautiful walks from the doorstep. The house is also close to several local shops, restaurants, take-aways, pubs and a small supermarket.

Use of all communal space is available eg kitchen, lounge bathroom etc. If you require a bit of workspace there is a large dining room table available. Use of the back garden is available and is a lovely little suntrap.
There is a key safe at the front door where you can pick up and leave the key if I am not available.
