- "Whats not to like about this place. The decor is African theme. The bridal Suite is fantastic with its own Soaker tub and large shower. Little balcony to sit on. The lighting in the main area is perfect for relaxation. Theres a hot tub outside on the patio and sitting area. The price is very reasonable. I could go on and on. But you should check it out for yourself. I went by myself and it was like a little mini vacation. Each Suite is decorated differently. Im definitely going back and taking my husband next time. Great place for a girls getaway. Or a wedding as theyhave facilities for that as well"

Less than an hour to Buffalo Lake and just over an hour to Prairie Oasis ( a man made lake with nice green space and good boating).
Come winter we are only about 20 min to the little Alliance Ski Hill.

There is a beautiful pergola with hanging lights that really adds to the mood. And in the late night, the view of the stars is magical. Before we left, we met Bernice, who was a very kind and sweet host, and had lots of fun stories to share. Overall, this was one of the best weekend getaways me and my family has ever had! - "The layout of the property gives the visitors privacy and seclusion. A well thought out courtyard and tree groupings attracts many species of birds. The purple Martin houses appeared to have full occupancy as did the swallow boxes scattered through out the property. There are a couple of trails around the property. We saw deer and coyotes. The house is cozy, clean and efficient. The large windows face the courtyard. The hosts were right next door beyond the private courtyard if we needed anything. Elk Island is just minutes away. I would certainly recommend this vacation spot and we certainly plan on coming again."

We have 2 portable air conditioners that work great.

We can accommodate up to 10-12 guests ($50/night/guests over 8) with our 2 full/double sized pull out couches but it’s cozy. Please see room descriptions and photos for details.

Extra dark outside in the evening for star gazing and catching northern lights. Lots of deer, moose, birds, owls and other animals visit us often.

20 min to Sherwood Park, 40 min to downtown Edmonton.

We have a long and narrow winding road/driveway. Also, depending on the weather there can be large puddles on the driveway.

We live 30 minutes away but we are available for you anytime.

There are groceries close by! However if you need to do full groceries it’s best to go to Sherwood park Walmart/Superstore/Saveon/Sobeys 25 mins away.

If you just need a few things:

Country Mercantile store/liquor store (very small selection) 6 mins away,

Country Boyz (larger selection) 11 mins away.

Dogs only.Dog must be fully house trained. Lots of coyotes in the area.

Our property has a direct path to the "lake". We have had very dryyears where there appears to almost beno lake at all. The middle of the "lake" is not deep enough for swimming or kayaking. Half Moon beach resort for swimming and kayaking is a 6 min drive away. Lake Islet is also a good (and free) choice for kayaking. Keep in mind these are Alberta lakes.

We have everything you need including firewood, fire pit, fire sticks, and chairs! We have a propane BBQ with propane.

Cellphone coverage is very limited and cuts in and out. Best service is on the front step. Wifi works great (we leave it up to you if you want to tell the kids). Tube TV/VCR for provided movies (popcorn and air popper is in the cabinet top shelf).

There are two outdoor cameras, one at the front entrance of the cabin and one at the side entrance.

The hosts were extremely hospitable and showed genuine interest in making this trip memorable. At one point we ran out of propane and they delivered a new tank. We were looking forward to a fire in the outside pit. Water had gathered there as the snow was melting and the host brought a portable fire pit to the property so we could enjoy a fire in a dryer area. I will absolutely be back. Just an amazing experience!"
