- "What a wonderful little spot in a quiet village. Sheridan and Colin (the owners) made us feel very welcomed. The Voil room was very large with a king size bed, sofa, and 2 arm chairs. The view from the window to the mountains was so relaxing. Breakfast was substantial and Colin's homemade icecream was a yummy snack for afternoon tea. Sheridan is very knowledgeable about local history and geography and pointed us to Rob Roy's burial site in a nearby village. Airlie House B&B is well worth staying at and we wish we could have had longer here."

Upon returning, we found our clothes had been removed from the washing machine and received a message from the host stating the laundry room was private and there was a £20 charge per load. This was surprising and disappointing. The laundry room should have been locked if it was private, and the charge was not mentioned anywhere. Additionally, the host entered our space without notifying us while we were out, which felt invasive. In the end, we left the money to settle the case, but the experience left a sour note on an otherwise pleasant stay. Overall, while the property and amenities were satisfactory, the unclear communication about the laundry facilities and unexpected charges were significant drawbacks. Future guests should be aware of these issues to avoid similar misunderstandings."

A spiral staircase leads to two bedrooms, the double bedroom has a lovely balcony with a splendid outlook to the mountains and seating for enjoying your morning coffee or to take in some amazing star gazing. The triple bedroom has fabulous views over the river and towards the village. The wonderful wood burning stove is the focal point, radiating warmth throughout and adding to the rustic alpine ambience. A veritable home from home, we can't think of anything you might miss. Our cupboards are well stocked with all your kitchen staples. Even in poor weather there's plenty of entertainment with smart tvs and a great selection of dvds, Wii, Playstation and board games.

Set in a tranquil picturesque estate, in an area of outstanding natural beauty, it's a great place to relax and just drink in the scenery. Red squirrels are frequent visitors to our bird feeders and underneath picking up the fallout you may spot a family of ducks - nine little fluffy ducklings. Children love exploring the grounds which offer lots of space to run around enjoying the wild, rural countryside. Around the cabin there are extensive grassy areas and the River Balvaig flows by our door where you can cast a line. You are licensed to use two rods from the river bank, mostly for brown trout. There's a little shingle beach by the cabin where you can launch kayaks, with nearby sailing and other watersports at Loch Earn. The cabin is also in a superb location for cycling so bring (or hire) bikes here since the tracks leave right from the door. You can take up the Bliss Trail from here - an award winning sculpture trail. If walking's your thing, you have access to gentle walks along the loch or to the neighbouring village of Balquhidder or more challenging hikes uphill! The woods around Strathyre are dog heaven too!

The Cabin is located very close to local amenities with shop/off licence, a couple of lively hostelries, cafe, etc, just a short stroll away. For families, there's a playpark, tennis/recreation ground and an indoor pool/spa, sports courts and climbing wall in the bustling Trossachs metropolis of Callander with its plentiful cafes and shops. Safari park, wildlife centres and working/petting farm are just a short drive. Water sports centres and canoe and bike hire nearby. Indeed, all the sporting and wildlife watching opportunities of the national park are easily accessible. There's all manner of sighting opportunities with bushcraft, tracking, navigation and wildlife observation days available or you could try a landrover safari outing to spot deer or maybe an eagle. The area offers a wide range of activities for families and children, including: Junior Ranger trails and Bushman fun in the forest. Wilderness trails, Twilight walk, Bike Hire, Canoe Safari and Geocaching and much more. 'Total Wipeout' fans can don a wetsuit and have a go at conquering an iceberg themselves at 'Go Country' and for a bit of monkey business there's 'Go Ape', an aerial treetop walkway with UK's biggest zip wire. Excellent golf courses afford fantastic views and pony trekking can be arranged.

For foodies, a visit to Monachyle Mhor and Mhor 84 (Scottish gastropub of the year with its Thursday folk sessions) in Balquhidder glen (2 mile walk) is a must (as well as their fish and bakery outposts in Callander). Strathyre is well served locally having two pubs, all serving great food, cafe and even an ice cream parlour in the village.

The cities of Edinburgh, Glasgow, Stirling and Perth are easily reached and it's perfectly possible to visit a west coast island, Glencoe or Loch Ness for the day. With numerous delightful villages and attractive towns to visit, you'll find a myriad of sights to see and things to do. There are umpteen delightful days out to different lochs but of special note is the paddle steamer around Loch Katrine or a cruise on Loch Lomond. Uncover the history by visiting an impressive selection of castles and don't miss Rob Roy's grave when you're in the heart of his homeland.

- "We're a family of four (kids aged 8 and 5) and absolutely loved our stay here! The cabin is one of a handful on a private, quiet site. It sits right next to the river (which was quite low when we were there) and has beautiful views of Bein an t-Sithean - "the hill of the fairies". It also seems to be one of the only cabins to get the last of the evening sun! It's in a perfect location for walking, cycling and kayaking. There's a little play area just a 2 min walk away and a pub just 5 mins walk. Broch cafe is only a 5/10 min walk down the river and, if you have bikes, it's worth cycling up to Mhor 84 motel. Great food (and ice cream!) Karen was a great host, providing lots of information and was easily contactable if we needed her - which we didn't as the cabin is very well set up and had everything we needed! None of us wanted to leave! We'll definitely be going back."

- "We booked the house for a surprise 70th birthday gathering , with family coming from different parts of the uk it was an ideal midway meeting point . The house is huge! It is tastefully decorated and well equipped with most things. The games room was perfect for the kids and adults alike and we enjoyed many games of pool. We enjoyed the garden games as we were lucky with the weather also. And sitting in the conservatory enjoying the sunshine. We had a very mixed range of ages so having lots of different rooms meant people could spread out and be where they wanted to be. The kitchen is fairly well equipped with large cooker, plenty plates and cutlery pots and pans. Could do with a couple large serving dishes but otherwise perfect. The beds are very comfortable and my husband and I slept better than we do at home! There are lots of comfy sofas around the house also so always room for everyone. The large dining tables were great so everyone could eat together. The garden was a great space, we had a visiting hedgehog on the first night too! The area is lovely. Lots to do and nice pubs, shops- the Mhor Bread shop in the village sells amazing bread and pies. We would definitely return to Callander and this property."

Inside a comfortable bed, excellent shower (Despite my pet hate of electric showers this one actually worked with good pressure and heat ) The whole place was immaculate with a microwave, kettle, toaster and two rings for cooking, plus my wife's favourite a Teapot. Pots, pans, cutlery and sharp knives all supplied and a variety of other cooking implements, corkscrew etc. These people obviously have researched what works well done. Towels and bathroom fittings all there I could not find fault with the place. Many thanks for allowing us to visit and good luck for the future."

The property has been completely refurbished into a luxurious, spacious and immaculately presented upper floor three bedroom holiday home by the Callander Community Development Trust.
You enter the property through a private front door and a newly laminated stairway leads to the first floor. The landing area is bright with lots of natural daylight coming through traditional sash windows looking out towards Kessogs Church.
The lounge is very spacious and comfortable with large windows looking over the village square. There is a separate large family kitchen and dining area which is fully equipped and has a dining table and chairs for 6 people. The hallway leads to two twin bedrooms with plenty of storage and a family bathroom with walk in shower. At the end of the hallway is a large double bedroom with en-suite shower room. There are lovely views towards Craggs. All windows are double glazed and traditional sash style.
The property is an excellent base for exploring historic Scotland and is superbly situated for outdoor activities including walks, cycling, climbing and canoeing. It is also extremely easy to reach, being around one hour’s drive from Edinburgh and Glasgow, only 20 minutes from the M9 and is right in the centre of Callander and all its amenities.

This double and single room is in a self-catering loft conversion in a house on a quiet cul-de-sac a 15-minute walk from Callander town centre.

Our dog and cat are allowed in the common areas but not in guests' rooms.

Beautiful walks nearby at the Crags, Bracklin Falls and Ben Ledi. Callander is also on the Rob Roy Way and Trossachs Trail. Loch Lomond is an hour away.

Eating options in town include fish and chip shops, takeaways, bakeries, restaurants and pubs.

Tesco and the Coop are near.

The space
Guests have exclusive access to the top floor, which comprises two bedrooms and a bathroom.

The bedrooms contain a double and a single bed, microwave, fridge, kettle and toaster, as well as a small table for dining.

The bathroom includes a bath, without shower attachment, and toilet.

A shower can be used in the bathroom in the first floor below. This is shared with myself and my partner who both live in the house.

Guest access
Guests come and go via the front door that goes straight onto two flights of stairs that lead to their bedrooms on the top floor.

Other things to note
Towels, bed linen, toiletries, tea and coffee are provided.

Shoes must be taken off and left inside the front door.

Strictly no smoking inside our home.

We have a small pug and a cat. They aren't allowed in the guest bedrooms.

Laura cleans the rooms herself, ensuring a high standard of cleanliness. However, due to the presence of pets in the home, it is simply not possible to completely eliminate all stray hairs. If any cleaning issues arise during your stay, please let us know and we will do our best to remedy any problems.

A charming terraced cottage, dating back to 1789, fully modernised internally and located in the centre of Callander known as the gateway To The Highlands. Close to countless country walks, rivers, lochs and mountains, and beautiful scenery. The room is large with an en suite, as well as two armchairs, a fridge, kettle, coffee machine, fast wi-fi connection and a TV with Netflix and Amazon Prime services. We do not offer breakfast but guests are welcome to bring food into the room.

The space
The room offers a quiet, comfortable space, with views over the river on one side and square and surrounding forest on the other. It is large and has two comfortable armchairs as well as a mini fridge and crockery so that you can bring food into the room. We do our outmost to make you feel welcome and make your stay enjoyable so you can make the most out of the beauty surrounding Callander.

Guest access
You will have a front door key to come and go as you please, the room is at the top of the stairs as you enter the house and you will not need to pass through our own space.

Matt and Annett welcome you to The Wee Hoose probably Scotland's smallest holiday home. Down a wee lane off the Main Street, you will find a charming cottage: one bedroom, open plan lounge/kitchen with feature wall and bathroom with shower.
Callander is a vibrant town in the heart of the Trossachs National Park, indeed, right in the heart of Scotland.
We do welcome pets also, but please note the Wee Hoose has NO garden, however, there are plenty of beautiful walks right on your doorstep.

A modern 2 bedroom semi-detached house, with private parking in a quiet relaxed estate. The house is located in the heart of the beautiful Trossachs National Park. 5 minutes level walk to the picturesque town of Callander with bars and restaurants and specialist Whisky shops. The property has both a front and private rear garden with open views over green fields to the rear and views to the mountains. The host will greet you, help you to settle in and with local knowledge help enjoy your stay.

The house has 2 bedrooms. One modern bathroom with over bath shower. A modern kitchen, with gas hob and electric oven. Cutlery, crockery and pots and pans are supplied. All beds are made up with fresh linen, ready to sleep in. Towels are supplied. A TV and DVD, with a selection of movies. 4G network service is readily available. The house is heated with gas central heating, with radiators in all areas.

The space
The room is upstairs in an old traditional Scottish town house. Although we do not provide breakfast there is a small fridge in the room as well as a kettle, plates, glasses, cups and cutlery. It offers wonderful views of Ben Ledi and Callander Crags and is conveniently situated near charming shops and cafes. Moreover, you'll be spoiled for choice with many options for beautiful countryside walks nearby.

The space
Our home comprises of three bedrooms and two bathrooms on the first floor, along with an open-plan kitchen, dining room and lounge on the second floor. We offer two bedrooms for rent, which share a bathroom accessible through a hallway. Your room features twin beds, fresh linen, and towels, as well as amenities such as a smart TV with Netflix and BBC iPlayer accounts, fast Wi-Fi, a hairdryer, and a tea/coffee tray. The room overlooks the street, allowing you to enjoy the vibrant atmosphere of the bustling Scottish village as you relax with your afternoon tea.

You’ll have your own private bedroom with a lock on the door for your comfort and security. A key to the main entrance will also be provided, giving you the freedom to come and go as you please. The bathroom is shared with one other guest bedroom and is kept clean and well-stocked for your use.
