- "Laura's house was absolutely perfect for our family! The house is well-appointed with everything you need and a great set up for spending time indoors and outdoors. The big kitchen is wonderful for cooking and the new covered deck is perfect for eating and catching up. Jet Ski, boat, Kayak, Canoe, paddle board, and bike rentals can be arranged (delivered to the property and picked up from the property). Boat rentals can potentially be arranged via the owner (Boating License is required to rent directly through the owner), and there is also a marina (Easton Point Marina) close by to launch your own boat.

Best offers, shorter rental periods, and long-term rentals are considered and rates are generally half the price in the fall and winter (October through March). This area of the Eastern Shore has some of the best duck and goose hunting in the world.

Note: Talbot County Rules and Regulations: Short Term Rental License #ST-776-HUF2019. Talbot County Code Chapter 190-33.20(C)(1) states: "The Maximum number of persons permitted to be on-site associated with any short-term rental shall be limited at all times to the lesser of 12 persons or two persons per bedroom in the primary dwelling, excluding infants under eighteen month of age, and not including any bedrooms within an accessory dwelling." Talbot County requires us to list the maximum number of guests as six ("6"). You should note, however, that there are two king size beds, and two sets of twin bunk beds in the three bedrooms, and there is also an inflatable queen size bed in the master bedroom closet. 3 Night Minimum Stay for all rentals required by Talbot County law.

The mandatory Maryland (6%) & Talbot County (4%) rental tax is added to your agreed upon rental amount. The pool is usually closed at the beginning of November and reopened in April. It is sometimes too cold to enjoy swimming in the pool prior to Memorial Day weekend depending on the weather.

Early check-in and late check-out will be considered upon request and granted depending on the ability to properly clean (according to Covid-19 protocol) and set up the property in between guests.

Guests will have sole access to the entire property, no one else lives on the property. You will have sole access to the pool, hot tub, entire house, dock, tennis court, and yard (4+ acres) during the rental period.

- "The grounds are incredibly gorgeous, huge trees, the largest being easily 6 feet thick, all very well maintained. We took the kayaks out on the creek, sat in the Adirondacks and looked at the bay, walked the grounds in awe, and spent time in the air conditioned living room and enjoyed almost the same view as you see outside via the wall of windows. The kitchen and pantry had everything we'd need to prepare a meal, appliances all worked great including the air fryer, bathrooms had toiletries and towels in plenty. Dining room was large enough for 6 people to spread out and play board games and eat. Of course there is St Michaels nearby providing loads of little shops and restaurants, and if you need anything at all the town of Easton in the other direction has all the big stores you're used to seeing at home. The property is very far off the main road, very private, but everything you need is 10 minutes away. Could not have asked for more!"

I only wish we hadn't packed so much kitchenware because the kitchen was very well equipped for anything - right down to a garlic press! From sipping coffee as we watched the regattas on the river, to dinners enjoying fabulous sunsets and star gazing in the evening, our days were relaxed and peaceful. There was enough space for us to be together (meals, pool, games), and the house was situated so that we could each have our own spaces to retreat. We fished and crabbed off the dock and easily got on our paddleboards and kayaks to explore the waterways. The pool is the stunner of the house, though! The kitchen is well stocked to cook and has new appliances. The house was very clean and tidy. It is a little dated, but the setting is so extraordinary, it's hardly worth noticing. Welcome to your place and our shared space within our home. Our 60ish year old masonry built home may not look big from the road but we promise you it not what it seems. Your private room and private bathroom are upstairs. Your room has its own ductless hvac system to maximize your comfort. Our home is filled with our own style that comes from all over the world. We are a multicultural and a multilingual family. Your room sleeps 4 adults and one child/toddler.

The space
We are a family of 6 humans. Us, our 3 children (one in college) and our au pair.
We have a 15 year old and a 6 year old. Both are very friendly and used to new people in our home.
We have a dog, an Icelandic sheepdog that will bark at you when she first meets you and maybe the second time. The entire time that she will know you she will attempt to lick you! Her name is Kind. She will also try to trick you into letting her into the back yard - please do not. She can jump the 6 foot fence! She will go visit the town and then we will have to go pick her up at Animal Control.

We also have a cat, her name is Fart, she goes by FooFoo. She is shy but curious. Please be sure to keep your door closed or she might come by. Also please make sure she didn't sneak in while you weren't looking and then accidently got closed in your room.

Guest access
We are glad to share our kitchen and any appliances in it, our living room, our dining room and the hallway bathroom on the ground floor. We are glad to share our screened in porch area that is off the kitchen. We are happy to share our backyard with you, it can be accessed from the kitchen facing the front door and thru the screened in porch - there also might be dog poop in the grass.

Upstairs: your space is your room and the bathroom. We do not share the center space or the second bedroom upstairs.
You do not share the bathroom while you are there but the bathroom is used by others when we don’t have guests.

In the basement is where we have our Miele washing machine and dryer.
It is also where we store our life so dont judge :) There is a bedroom and bathroom in the basement that belongs to our college student. If he happens to be home you might bump into him. The basement is also Farts homebase. Thats where she has her litter box and her food and water. You are welcome to use the washer and/or dryer just check with us first so we can move anything from the washer or the dryer if needed.

During your stay
Please don't ask the kids for complicated help. They will try to help you and they can for basic stuff but they are kids and don't know everything :)
We work both from home and also out of the home. Our 6 year old is homeschooled. He is very talkative and will try to trick you into playing with him, he is almost as good at it as the dog. Please don't be shy telling him you have other things to do. If you bring child/children we have toys galore and books that we are happy to share. We are a multilingual/multicultural home.

Please text or call if you have any questions or if something just doesn’t look or feel right, it’s an old house and it definitely has it’s own personality and I changes with the weather.

Other things to note
We live here so our home is very lived in looking. We do like a clean home and we ask that you take your shoes of when you enter the house. You are welcome to leave your shoes down stairs with the rest of the shoes or take them up with you. We are very much socks and toes people.

We have breakfast, lunch and dinner in the kitchen, one or all of those meals are cooked so you will smell food. We kennel Kind when we are not at home. She may bark if she hears the UPS man, it will end we promise :)

3 bedrooms are on one side of the house. In-law suite on the other. Lots of privacy. The house sits on 1 acre and has central heating and air. Most, but not all rooms have working baseboard heaters for supplemental heat like if 1 member of your family wants their room extra warm.

Park anywhere on the driveway. There is no towing. The garage is for host storage and not part of the listing. Enter through the front door.

Other things to note
The house is on well water that's been tested, safe to drink, and runs clean. Plus, there's a water softener to reduce mineral content and improve the water's cleaning ability. There's also a reverse osmosis water filter in the kitchen to provide bottled water level pure water.

The space
The bottom floor has an open floor plan with living, dining and kitchen space. The bottom floor also contains the master bedroom with queen bed and private master bathroom. Upstairs are three private bedrooms, one with a queen bed and crib, one with a double bed, and one with a queen bed, double bed and playpen. The three upstairs bedrooms all share one full bathroom upstairs.

Our house is also very kid friendly with a swing set in the backyard and lots of toys to play with! We have a full crib, a pack and play and a high chair for use.

Enjoy a screened in porch at the rear of the house during warmer days and nights.

The living room is equipped with a flat screen tv with access to Netflix, Amazon Prime and Hulu.

The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking with a double oven and electric range stove. The dishwasher, fridge and microwave are also available for use. There is a single cup Keurig on the kitchen counter for coffee and tea.

This is our part time home so you will see some personal items throughout!

The bedroom layout is actually two rooms in one, not unusual for the period, and features a king size bed, a large closet, and a sitting room, with access to the bathroom from the sitting room and from the hallway. The bathroom and kitchen are clean and functional, and will be receiving a beauty treatment after the new year.

You will have access to the entire 2nd floor of the apartment. Although there are two bedrooms on the third floor, they are not yet ready for occupancy.
