Good because it's close to walk and get a better view down the lake or up towards the mountains where sections of LoTR was filmed. Bad because there are sand flies which will happily feast upon your bare skin. Make sure you wear good insect repellent at all times. We stayed in the King suite and it was a quite sizable room with a massive en-suite which included a separate bath. There is a small deck out the front where you could sit and have a coffee or a wine. WiFi was easy to access and suitably fast. The host was amazing and greeted me by name before I managed to tell her any more than the fact I was checking in. I felt that there was nothing that she would not have done to make our stay more comfortable if this was required."

This large 3 bedroom Log House is an ideal escape to the mountains. It is located in the township of Glenorchy - Gateway to Paradise and Mt. Aspiring National Park.

This large 3 bedroom Log House has been specifically appointed for your comfort - comfortable U Shape Couch, 3 Comfortable Super King Beds, 1 King Bed, 2 Bath Tubs, and fully equipped kitchen. The yard is fully fenced which is great for families and for privacy as there is now a home on one of the sections next to us. There is underfloor heating throughout so is a warm home to visit in the winter months. The home is walking distance to the lake, restaurants, pubs, cafes, and shops. There are only a few of each as Glenorchy is a small town.

We also supply basics such as tea, coffee, soap, a few rolls of toilet paper, cooking oil, salt and pepper, spices, etc...

This wee gem is an experience to say the least.
You have to be capable of some "back to basics" living. By this you have to boil water to do the dishes and there is no washing machine but there is a Laundromat in town if you don't wish to do your washing by hand but be rest assured you will be cosy.
If you suffer from vertigo this is not the nest for you to stay in as everything is on wheels which creates movement.
"Wee Widja" is a mix of solar, power and no power so I suggest you bring a torch for when you hop from A to B but never fear for I am near should you need help in any way.

Glenorchy township is a brisk 5 minute walk so you are close to all it has to offer.
