This space also contains the sofa bed which is the sleeping arrangement for guest numbers 9/10.
Large train tracks outside to run the Polar Express train! Heated by 2 big heatpumps upstairs, and a gas fire downstairs, the house is cosy warm on a cold day. Or run them on cooling if you need to escape the heat in summer! A portacot with sheets is available on request. Note that the living space and most of the bedrooms are upstairs. And that we have called it retro for a reason, some things aren't brand new (like the carpet and the wallpaper) but the furniture and the beds are.

- "This property needed some upgrading. Tv and there was too much knickknacks around, kitchen was fill of old stuff like someone brought everything in sight from a second hand shop. Granted view was beautiful and the cat there was great company but there was no cat food. Wasn't sure if the cat lived there or not. Had cat door and cat slept on bed. GIn in fridge was cute touch and coffee machine but place needed update bed linen and declutter."

Walk up the walkway (also driveway) towards the blue house at end of the drive. There are 18 steps.

At top of the steps, you will see a yellow door. Do not use the gate in front of you, rather turn left at the yellow door to come up the front door.

Escape to our cabin nestled our backyard, a 5-minute stroll from Tītahi Bay beach. There are good local cafes, a craft beer bar, and easy access to Wellington and the Kapiti coast. Handy for the ferry and airport with good public transport links.

Bathroom facilities are shared, and are 20 meters away in our house- we are two adults, two teenagers and two cats. The cabin is basic but comfortable and private. We also have a campervan which can accommodate extra guests on request.

Welcome to your weekend away in Titahi Bay!

La Casita is our garden house that offers your own space to relax, a 5 minute walk from Whitireia loop track and 15 minute walk to Titahi Bay beach (easy stroll along the flat).

Enjoy brunch at T Bay Cafe, coffee at Aloha Friday (fresh bread sold during the weekend), a night at the Beer Engine (local brewery), or fish and chips on the beach.

The space
The space is a bedroom and bathroom, with a separate porch and BBQ area. We have space to store any surf boards, bikes or kayaks during your stay.

Please note that La Casita is up a small incline, including 19 steps (as shown in pictures). Ample street parking is available during your stay. Self check in.

Other things to note
Titahi Bay has a 1km beach with a beach break for those looking to surf. Cliff walks either side of the beach are a highlight. Porirua has a new food court, Kai Tahi, with Abandoned brewery next door. Te Rauparaha Arena and Aquatic Centre offers a swimming pool, gym and hosts Saints and Pulse games.

This peaceful haven is located opposite an entrance to the Pauatahanui Inlet Pathway in tranquil Camborne. The apartment is cute, stylish, and cosy with an en-suite, a Smart TV, a heat pump, and free Wifi.

There is a paved car deck alongside the apartment where you can park your car safely off-road. You are welcome to enjoy the beautiful back garden which is situated beside the reserve and resonates with birdsong.

Although Wendy loves animals, she does not allow guests to bring pets into The Haven as some guests who follow may be allergic and this could cause them distress.

Our home is warm and inviting, we enjoying hosting people and hope you enjoy your stay. We are a good base to travel commute to the CBD of Wellington, Porirua or Lower Hutt/Upper Hutt or explore the great Wellington region or zip over to the Wairarapa and do the vineyards before travelling north or south. Good location for regular business travellers to the great Wellington area or Sales staff who want more than a Hotel room to base themselves while working in the region.

Other things to note
Parking: Please park one vehicle on the far LEFT on our Driveway, (sign says Visitor Parking) leaving the garage door clear for my vehicle. You need to also leave space to walk past your own vehicle. Any other vehicles need to park on the road, best spot is between #13/15 roadside.
Your entrance is through the gate to the side door (not the garage door, next one). If on the rare occlusion, we are not on site to greet you we have a Lock Box Key as the back up.
Make sure the gate is secured, we have 2 small nonsheding dogs Bishon Freize & a Lowchen. No cats. The dogs are usually in the house but if you are a last minute booking please shut the gate quickly just in case. The dogs are fast!
We love guests who gives us a brief idea of their travel plans and a rough arrival time. Usually we will be here to greet you and the dogs are safe and secure out of your way.

Plimmerton Vista Penthouse is a character, sunny attic studio offering comfort complimented with a spectacular 270° panorama over the sea and the green hills. It is the place to relax - enjoy the most amazing sunsets or romantic moonlight nights. Complimentary breakfast available.

The space
The studio is a lovely light space with amazing views over the sea and the surrounding hills. It has a queen size bed, couch and coffee table, smart TV, a multifunctional marble bench top with two bar chairs, small kitchenet and its own ensuite. The checkout is flexible but no later then 11 am.
Our family's bedrooms and living area are downstairs in the house.

Cooked breakfast is available, but there is also a buffet with a bar fridge, microwave, jug, plates, cups, and cutlery - everything you need to create snacks and quick microwave meals. Coffee, tea and bottled water provided.
The penthouse used to be an art studio - so if you are in the mood, create your memorable painting here inspired by the vista around you.

Casa Cactus is located at the bottom of the main house with shared stairs access.

There are 2 sets of stairs up and then one down to access the place. It is completely lit by motion sensing lights to guide your way in the dark. The driveway is short but relatively steep so please be careful if it’s wet!

Relax and enjoy a large light room with private entrance, a modern private hot tub, and plenty of outdoor space - enjoy stunning views and all-day sun. The house is next to a reserve, so the only noise to disturb you will be birdsong.

We are friendly hosts who love this view and can’t wait to share it with you.

The room is 25 mins walking distance to some great local restaurants/pub. And only 25 minutes train/drive into Wellington.

The space
While not self-contained, you have your own private entrance (accessible from round the back of the house). There is a screen that separates your bedroom/bathroom/spa pool from the rest of the house.

The bedroom is a good size with a queen size bed plus seating area. Tea and coffee making facilities are included, a mini-fridge, a small microwave, plus some games and books to help you relax. There is unlimited wireless internet.

On a sunny day, the room is flooded with sunlight. There is also a gas heater in the bedroom to make the space warm and cosy whatever the weather.

Adjacent to the room is a modern indoor hot tub, which has stunning views of the Pauatahanui inlet. The bifold window opens fully so you can maximise your enjoyment of the view and get the best of indoor and outdoor vibes.

Large patio doors open up onto a patio area with a large tree and seating with all day sunshine and stunning views of the inlet. You’ll also have access to a large sheltered deck with beautiful mature planting.

You have private use of a bathroom with shower, washing machine and dryer.

There is a kettle, mini fridge and small microwave. We provide plates, cutlery etc and washing up service.

Body boards and golf clubs available to borrow on request.
