A selfcontained apartment with direct access ( 40 steps) to the Pauatahanui Inlet. Free use of kayaks (2 singles and one double ) make this private and secluded apartment a great escape from Welllington without going far (20 minutes from the ferry terminal/10 minutes walk from Paremata Station.) Enjoy home away from home.

Golden Gate Getaway is a cosy self contained apartment with a private entrance. It has a cosy master bedroom, a fully functioning kitchen with basic supplies & tea/coffee, a simplistic bathroom/laundry area and a brightly lit lounge room with TV, fast unlimited wifi & board games! We have set up a new work desk area too. There is close public transport to the city and access to water on both sides!
The space
Two minutes to the water on both sides of the hill! Bright and simplistic cosy airbnb with full privacy inside.
We are 20 mins drive from Wellington City, with nearby bus and train stations available.
Guest access
You will have access to the entire private apartment, the downstairs portion of the house. There is a private entrance with a pin code door lock.
Other things to note
1) Our Airbnb is dog friendly - we love doggies! Please use your own judgement whether your dog is well behaved or not and please ensure they do not damage the Airbnb.
2) Children are also very welcome however, the house is NOT child/baby-proof. There are easily accessible cleaning products which will be very harmful/lethal if consumed. It is your responsibility to please ensure their safety. There are also items that could be pulled and fall on them. If need be, please move things out of their reach during your stay.
3) Our property is only accessible by 10 stairs as shown in the photos. Please ensure you are able to use them.
4) There is no dining table in the Airbnb either, as space is limited.
Make yourself at home at this apartment with sea views near Titahi Bay beach. Just 20 mins drive to the ferry, or 30 mins to the airport. You will be sharing with one human and a cuddly cavoodle.

Our home is warm and inviting, we enjoying hosting people and hope you enjoy your stay. We are a good base to travel commute to the CBD of Wellington, Porirua or Lower Hutt/Upper Hutt or explore the great Wellington region or zip over to the Wairarapa and do the vineyards before travelling north or south. Good location for regular business travellers to the great Wellington area or Sales staff who want more than a Hotel room to base themselves while working in the region.
Other things to note
Parking: Please park one vehicle on the far LEFT on our Driveway, (sign says Visitor Parking) leaving the garage door clear for my vehicle. You need to also leave space to walk past your own vehicle. Any other vehicles need to park on the road, best spot is between #13/15 roadside.
Your entrance is through the gate to the side door (not the garage door, next one). If on the rare occlusion, we are not on site to greet you we have a Lock Box Key as the back up.
Make sure the gate is secured, we have 2 small nonsheding dogs Bishon Freize & a Lowchen. No cats. The dogs are usually in the house but if you are a last minute booking please shut the gate quickly just in case. The dogs are fast!
We love guests who gives us a brief idea of their travel plans and a rough arrival time. Usually we will be here to greet you and the dogs are safe and secure out of your way.
