The Space:
Offering views of Mount Taranaki (Egmont), every room comes with a flat-screen TV with more than 50 satellite channels, including sports channels. There are cooking facilities in each room, including complimentary tea & coffee. All rooms are equipped with a private bathroom fitted with a shower. Extras include free toiletries and a hairdryer.
We have recently built and installed a new wooden playground area for our younger guests to burn off some energy. Parents can sit and relax at our reclaimed Macrocarpa table and watch the littlies play whilst taking in the view of the mountain.
Enter the Enchanted Woods, created to provide an escape from the hustle & bustle. Sit and enjoy a BBQ in our peaceful hidden gem. The trees are lit up at night to show the true magical mystery of the Enchanted Woods.

There are also several renowned private gardens around Stratford and Taranaki.
Taranaki Pioneer Village is a unique museum with historic buildings and features where you can experience life as it was 100 years ago.
A few lakes and rivers are not far away for swimming, boating, bush walking, and Trout fishing.

We don't do gourmet but locally sourced old style meals, good portions and nothing too fancy apart from Maria's divine desserts.
Breakfast is provided gratis in The Helena Suite and consists of Home cooked fresh eggs and bacon with local baked Ciabatta at $15.00 pp
We now offer the "Red Room" the perfect place for friends or family to share your experience in The Helena Suite and you now also can dine on a Restaurant meal at very reasonable prices. BYO wine.
Dawson's Falls and Wilkie's Pools, The Rotokare Trust's fully fenced nature reserve, The beautiful walkways on the Patea river through Stratford and the Nigel Ogle's amazing Tawhiti museum just outside of Hawera.

* Food options at night are very limited in Eltham so we encourage you to let us know in advance and we can arrange beautiful meals Fish, chicken, beef or vegetarian/vegan options from a local top quality restaurant.
* We really want to encourage visitors to spend a few days in Sth Taranaki as there are many beautiful walks and places to see so we are making a special offer of $761.00 for 3 day visits.
