- "We stayed at the second property on the site, Lavender Lane Cottage, which was a lovely newly refurbished 200 year old cottage. It had three double bedrooms(one upstairs) an open plan kitchen, dining area and living area which was all minimalistic but modern and had every amenity we needed for our stay (Con even left us tea/coffee/bread and milk) We felt at home straightaway and all said we could live there. The bathroom was again modern in an old worldly setting, with plenty of hot water and heating when required. This is a family friendly old Irish farmhouse. It has been in the Murphy family for more than 5 generations. We are located in the village of Ballyduff which is known for the historical Rattoo round tower. The Rattoo Round tower is within walking distance. This is a medieval tower dating back to the 6th century. We are central to Tralee listowel Dingle and Killarney. The ferry to Tarbert is only 30 min from here to Clair.

Ballybunion is 16km away, Tarbert Ferry 21km, Tralee 27km making Listowel an ideal base/stopover for doing Ring of Kerry.

Other things to note
Listowel hosts several Festivals: Writers' Week, Listowel Races (first week of June and Harvest Festival in September), Revival Music Festival, Food Fair. The town is very busy when these are on!
