- "I loved the suite we had with 2 twins. The beds are more like full size and are together in the huge bedroom. The suite is similar to a large apartment. We were greeted by the most amazing and friendly staff. They come out personally to greet you at arrival and to say good bye when checking out. The dinner was in our personal suite and consisted of 10 courses that were delicious. There are free drinks and beers in the refrigerator and we purchased sake for dinner. The breakfast was served in our personal suite and was traditional Japanese breakfast. Our attendants were so sweet for dinner and breakfast. They made me feel so welcome and special. I would say this was probably one of the best parts of my trip to Japan. If I return to Nara Park in the future I would definitely stay here again. "

- "Delicious and Beautiful dinners here. A bit of a walk from the train station. They serve you breakfast and dinner at the hotel. It is so much food you should skip lunch in the middle of the day. They also offer soup 9:30-1030. I have not tried it because I start dinners late they keep me full. The place has a very nife onsen which includes an indoor bath and an outdoor bath. The train station is a bit of walk - about 10 minutes- but ince you get there it is an easy day trip to Osaka, Kyoto, or Nara park. The rice field area next to the hotel is actually an excavation area for the Nara period Imperial Palace. They are trying to rebuild the palace. It is a very unassuming World Historic Heritage site. It makes for an enjoyable walk around the park day. There are not a lot of tourists here yet. They dont charge for going in anybof the buildings. You should start at Suzaki gate. Yoh can pick up a stamp sheet where you can collect stamps from other sites in the area."

- "Wakasa Bettei surprised me as one of my favorite hotels in my 8-day Japan trip. I think it came down to the fact that the premises were cozy and new, the location was serene and close to Todaiji, and the staff were just so friendly.
