Rustic lakefront home ideally located for exploring historic New England. The house is at the end of a private road on a 1 acre wooded lot. The house is on a wooded peninsula and surrounded by water on three sides. Most rooms include water views. There is a sandy beach that includes a dock. The gradual slope of the beach is ideal for young children. The house sleeps 8 in bedrooms and has a queen sofa bed in the living room. There is easy access to Boston via car or public transportation. The house features a spacious great room with gas fireplace, large dining room and a fully equipped gourmet kitchen.

Summer and Fall are excellent times of year to enjoy swimming in the lake or relaxing and enjoying the reflection of the fall foliage in the pond. In winter there is easy access to trails for cross country skiing. Downhill skiing & snowboarding is available at Wachusett Mountain Ski Area which is a scenic 30-minute drive. New England Sport Center is a short drive down 290. The house is also convenient to the many colleges and medical facilities in the Worcester area.

Please note this is a multi-level house. There is a flight of stairs to get to the main level and a small number of steps between areas within the house. If you have mobility issues this would not be a good fit for you.

Home was super clean & comfortable, much better then having to stay in a hotel for 3-4 nights. The place is about a 40 minute ride to Boston for sightseeing and a quick 10 minute drive to Worcester for some nice places for dinner and lunch. The owner was very responsive with any questions I had. We will be staying here again next year if we are in the area for another baseball tournament."

- "To start, the listing is very deceptive. This place does not have any "nice views", it is not "wonderful" and definitely, not "quite".I got there around 10pm after dinner. The was only one parking spot left, very tight, and you can park on the road.To go to the room I had to go pass the kitchen...the kitchen had a terrible fried fish smell that had taken over the whole place. Right there this was a reason to cancel this reservation,but it was late for me to go anywhere else. In the kitchen, I was met by an elderly men, the uncle of the owner, who spoke Zero English. No help there!I run into my smelly room and found out the heating was not working...room was 63 F. So I texted Tin, the owner, but had no answers that night.Did not sleep all night...Also, the common bathroom was in the middle of the many guest bedrooms and it was very noisy when a guest went to use it. The property was old so you can imagine the original bathroom fan running during the night, the bathroom door was noisy as well...just a terrible experience.The next day I got up, left the keys for the owner, and texted him that I was not happy with the property and that I was not going to spend another night there.I asked the owner for a fair resolution, trying to be nice.Tin decided to charge me 25% of the whole reservation (11 days booking) plus all the other fees. This to me was not fair at all so I hope VRBO can give me a full refund after talking to their customer service 5 times."
