The place was clean but the shower doesn't drain properly. My wife was wading in water while showering. When we contacted the property manager she said to use the squeegee... The pool was fenced off when we arrived, it looked dirty despite having the pool vacuum in it. We didn't touch it. We didn't use the property for anything other than sleeping. We spent our entire time at the other location that the rest of our family was staying at. Their property had working showers and an imacculate pool. This place would work for a small family (3max) I suppose but we would have been better off in a hotel. This didn't work for my family of 4."

There are lounge chairs for relaxing in the sun, a pavilion with ping pong table and BOX HOCKEY game.

- "I enjoyed my stay immensely. I saw the movie The Biggest Little Farm a year ago, and I always wanted to visit, but then Covid happened. The farm started to have tours again, so I made arrangements to visit Apricot Lane Farms. The guest house was only 20 minutes away from the farm, and these accommodations were perfect for me. Some people prefer hotels, but I prefer rental homes like this one. The property is on the edge of the country and city (Moorpark). There are lots of food places and breweries nearby. Check out Tarantula Hill Brewery for a family-friendly place with decent food and drinks. Andy, the owner, is an awesome person to talk to, but only if you want to have company."

Located in the knolls of Simi Valley, this mountain oasis is surrounded by rock formations, oak trees and beautiful wildlife. From the moment you exit Rocky Peak Road you'll feel transported as sandstone boulders rise up along the winding road.

The neighborhood is friendly and safe, so even though Los Angeles county is only 2 miles away you'll feel like you're in a mountain retreat. Modern amenities such as grocery stores, restaurants and Starbucks are located within a mile; though I recommend taking an extra five minutes to check out Lucky Dog Cafe.

The property itself sits at the base of a small mountain. When it rains heavily, there is actually a waterfall that flows into a creek through the property. The house is about 1,000 sq feet, low maintenance and well designed. This is old construction, so the walls are thick, the wood is strong and it feels very private. The central air system works quickly but there is also a wood burning fireplace if you prefer to heat the old-fashioned way. The kitchen features all new appliances, including a gas burning stove. Bathroom is very unique, it's considered a wet room as there is no glass divider for the shower; definitely Joshua Tree vibes.

The master bedroom features a queen bed, closet and plenty of drawer space. The guest bedroom has a couch, coffee table and a very comfortable full mattress Murphy bed which is braced into masonry.

The living room features a futon with a mattress topper. Fine for kids or young adults but probably not the best sleeping arrangement if you have mobility issues. There is a wood-burning fireplace, a 48-inch television and plenty of board games. Overall just a great space to get together. There is also a full size inflatable mattress if needed.

Outside there is a deck and seating area, a grill, corn hole, life-sized Jenga and a great view of the giant boulders in the park adjacent to the property. This place is especially beautiful in the day but there are string lights across the yard for evening enjoyment.

You are able to do some rock climbing and light hiking in this park and in many other parks nearby. I'm happy to share more information by request. If Hollywood history interests you, the famous Corriganville Movie Ranch is just 1/4 mile down the road.

This is not a single flat level home, has a step. There is a single step to go to different areas of home. Some narrow doorways for 2nd bedroom. Master bedroom has lower than normal ceiling, not 8’. Probably master bedroom ceiling height not comfortable for people over 6’ 2”

This is a one story single family home, in a very friendly neighborhood. Parks close enough to take a walk grocery store CVS, Mexican restaurant place for your Nails sushi dinner house within six minutes of walking.

Our home is reasonably priced for someone on a budget. It's a comfy single bed with a privacy curtain. Great for short stays. Private space. Lite Kitchen access, microwave use, small space in fridge. Quiet neighborhood, and close to the Reagan Library. Home is clean, beautifully kept, close to stores, (grocery and a mall), parks, restaurants, gas stations, colleges, and freeway. Lovely one bedroom studio apartment. Amazing views, lemon trees and dozens of wild peacocks roam the yard. Very relaxing and peaceful, perfect for couples. Attached in-law suite with a private entrance. You have the entire space to yourself! 450 sq ft, full bath with washer/dryer. Kitchenette w/ full size fridge. HDTV with Amazon FireTV stick and free WiFi. Heating and A/C. There is a huge private deck w/ seating and a BBQ. One queen bed w/ down comforter and down mattress topper...very comfy!

The space
UPDATE: With the coronavirus becoming all too prevalent in our society we are implementing significant additional cleaning procedures. This includes all door knobs, handles, remote controls, countertops and any surface you may come in contact with. We are still NOT charging a cleaning fee but due to the additional time required for the cleaning we cannot accommodate early check in or late check out.

Our Space:

Quiet and relaxing space with amazing views of unique rock formations and oak trees. The deck is private, sunny and beautiful with a large BBQ available. Dozens of wild peacocks roam the yard and perch in the trees. We also have great bird watching...scrub jays, hooded orioles, doves and many others nest in the trees.

Hikers dream! Tons of trails to explore with wonderful views and rock formations. Check out our list of locations in our listing Guide Book for the trail heads. Lots of local restaurants posted there as well.

We are just down the street from Hummingbird Nest Ranch, so it's perfect if you are attending a wedding or event there.

Kitchenette has a full size fridge, microwave, large toaster oven with two burner stove top, a Kuerig coffee maker, pots and pans, dishes and cutlery. There is a washer and dryer in the space that is free to use and comes with with complimentary detergent.

Private entrance around the back, down the outdoor stairway to the left of the garage. The stairs go down pretty far so if you need any help with your bags, please let us know. Parking is just up hill from the driveway on the brick paver section next to the lawn. the space is very private and you will have the entire space to yourself.

Please note your ceiling is our floor so you may hear us walking around from time to time.

Guest access
There is a huge downstairs deck with a large BBQ grill and a seating area. Plus a small table and chairs below. Also several lemon trees, feel free to pick some. Please use stairs to left of driveway. You have the entire unit to yourself, the only shared space is the ceiling (which is our floor) so you'll hear us walking around sometimes.

Other things to note
Watch out for the wild peacocks! There are a dozen or so that roam around our yard. They are curious and gentle and don't be surprised if they greet you on the deck in the mornings. During mating season in the Spring they can be noisy in the mornings. You'll see them crossing the road as well so keep an eye out while driving. Please don't feed them! We also get raccoons at night so don't leave any food out and keep trash can lids closed.

It's a hillside home and the unit is down at the lower part of the house. The stairs to the left of the driveway are outdoors and go a fair distance down, so this is something you will need to be able to navigate. If you need help with your bags, just let me know and I'll be happy to assist. There is no wheelchair or disabled access to the space...sorry.

It's a bit tricky to drive around at night as the roads are narrow and the streets are not well lit. Best to try and arrive before dark if you can. Also, please be aware the plumbing runs to a sump pump so no trash or food waste in the toilet or sink. Damage to the pump from trash will result in additional fees.

Please no smoking inside, but you can feel free to smoke on the deck.

The kitchen has a Kuerig w/ complimentary K-cups. There is also a big toaster oven w/ two burners and a microwave if you feel like doing some cooking. Pots and pans are provided.

We currently don't charge a cleaning fee, please help us keep costs low for future guests by cleaning up before you leave.

You have the entire unit and the deck and BBQ all to yourself, so no concerns about shared space. But your ceiling is our floor, so you may hear us walking around.

Please park on the red brick paver section just above the lawn.

We are home most nights and can always help you with anything.

Private bedroom in a centrally located area in Simi Valley. The bedroom is right at the entrance of the house with a large window. Queen sized bed, small desk and TV (55 in) with Chromecast device. You can stream anything from your phone to the screen or watch some live channels. Bathroom is very clean. You have access to kitchen for light cooking and living room area. There are two units on this property: the main house and the guest house. Both units are newly built spaces, just completed in Dec 2023. Each unit has their own private driveway and private front entrances so it is unlikely that there will be any, or just minimal interaction, between the different tenants/guests. We do ask that all tenants on the property are courteous and respectful of one another and observe quiet hours between 10pm-7am on weekdays and 11pm-7am on weekends.

We allow up to 12 people maximum in the main house portion. You can also rent the guest house and in that scenario we would allow up to 16 people total between both the main house and guest house. Please inqurie about availability of the main house if this should interest you.

This is a section of a larger home that has been made entirely private by installing door jam locks on the guest side. The guests should expect complete privacy. The Guest bedroom window does look out on the main backyard. However this section of the backyard is not used while guests are in the AirBNB.

There is one Central air unit for the entire building. although the thermostat is not in the guest Suite. You can contact me any time to request any desired adjustment to the temperature.

We follow CDC guidelines for cleaning and disinfecting completely after each guest, including frequently touched surfaces (light switches, doorknobs, cabinet handles, remotes, etc.) Our goal is to provide our guests with a safe and clean environment. After every stay, all linens (including sheets, pillow protector, towels, blankets, and comforters/quilts) are washed in hot water with detergent free of dyes and perfumes. We take great pride in providing our guests with a clean place to rest and recharge.
