Our property is near the foot of mount Daraitan and 50 meters away from the barangay hall where tourist have to register before hiking the mountain or swimming at the Tinipak river and cave. The property has a kitchen, 2 bathrooms, 2 bedrooms. It also has a sala and a dining room. We also have a big parking lot which will fit ten cars.

The spacious villa is fitted with 2 separate bedrooms, 1 bathroom, a fully equipped kitchen with a dining area and minibar, and a living room. Please be aware that our cabin is located quite a distance from services and amenities. It's a remote and serene getaway, perfect for those seeking tranquility and a break from the hustle and bustle of city life.

Because of the remote location, it's essential to come prepared with the necessities, including a towel, drinking water, and food, as there may not be convenient access to these services nearby.

Power Supply:

Our camp operates solely on solar power. We kindly request your cooperation in conserving energy during your stay. Prioritize essential device usage, employ energy-efficient practices, and limit high-power devices.

Access to the site:

Reaching our camp requires a short walk of approximately 5 to 10 minutes. The path includes a semi-uphill section, which may require a moderate level of physical exertion.

We recommend wearing comfortable footwear and taking any necessary precautions, such as carrying water or using walking aids if needed. Our staff will be available to assist you with any concerns or questions you may have during your walk.

Quiet Time:

Please be mindful of quiet hours from 10pm to 7am. Keep noise down, use headphones, and avoid loud activities. Thanks for helping us create a peaceful environment for all guests and neighbors."

The space
Our lodge is a family run homestay lodge, not a hotel. Not a luxurious hotel. Kindly manage your expectation as this place is a remote area but the nature view and fresh air are worth the visit.
We treat all our guests as one of our visiting relatives.

Family lodge is nestled in the center of Daraitan making it convenient for our guests to walk around and explore the area and get to known the locals.

Due to the area being remote, our signal for both Globe and Smart are weak. No water companies yet, we still use well water. Please be patient if we have to fill our tank due to high usage.

What to do:
Our place is also the starting point if you want to trek to the Famous Tinipak White Rock River, swim to the cave and hike to the summit and see the picturesque sea of cloud.
Hike to the summit is 1-2 Hours one way.
Trek to Tinipak White Rock Formation 30-1hour one way. The view is worth it!
River nearby are just 5 minute walk.

Our place is a perfect getaway from the busy city and just hibernate in our rustic, comfortable huts or have a siesta in our native hammocks.
All rooms are installed with an aircondioner and a hot shower.

Our restaurants. We have a complimentary breakfast. We offer local dishes and offer vegetarian friendly dishes. You can freely pick fruits and vegetables on our property or ask any of our family members or staff to assist you.
Outside food is not allowed. Corkage will be applied.


At night, you can enjoy our bonfire with friends and family. Just bring your marshmallows. First stack for free, P150/stack.

Arriving by car? Designated parking is available near the riverbank, followed by a quick boat ride and a short walk to Camp Fogwarts. Motorbike enthusiasts can ride directly onto the flat boat. For public transit guests, a detailed guide will be provided after booking.

Enjoy a cozy and eco-friendly getaway in the mountains with your loved ones.

We can accommodate up to 12 guests. Four to six persons can sleep in each cabin. We also have two tents you can use if you want to experience camping in a controlled setting. Both tents can be set up with comfortable beds, linens and blankets. We also have a comfortable couch that that can double as a sleeping spot.

You will also have access to a fully-equipped kitchen where you can prepare your own meals. A 5-gallon mineral water is also provided for you.

We are fully off-grid, but we have a solar set up to power lights and fans. You are encouraged to bring power banks for your gadgets and devices.

You will also enjoy the cool weather and the fresh air in this place. You can admire the beautiful view of the mountains, and most of the time, you will be greeted by the amazing sea of clouds. You can also relax in the living area with cozy seats or have a meal together in the large dining table.

Please note that water supply is scarce in this area, so we kindly ask you to conserve water as much as possible.

You will have exclusive use of the whole place, so you can have privacy and tranquility. This place is ideal for those who want to relax and reconnect with nature.

You can also have fun with your loved ones by playing some board games that are available for you to use.

The last 600m leading to Hillside Cabins is ONLY ACCESSIBLE to 4x4 or motorbikes. It is a quick 10-minute walk, but it can be muddy sometimes so make sure to wear proper gear.

There is an optional 4x4 pick-up service that you can avail separately.

Tent 1 is a 6-Person Dome Tent with Screen Room, 2 Rooms. Separate screen room offers bug-free lounging, extra ventilation, protected storage and can be slept in on warmer nights.
Measures 10 x 9 feet with 5-foot 8-inch center height; screen room is 10 x 5 feet placed on a bamboo tent pad.

Tents 2 and 3 are four-five person tents with simple and quick assembly. They have a ventilated roof and windows and storage pockets to help keep your gear organized. The tent measures 7 x 7 feet and has a peak height of 4 feet. It is suitable for a family or group of friends to sleep in.

Guest access
The property is located on the foothills of the southern Sierra Madre Mountain Range in Sampaloc, Tanay, Rizal with an altitude of 600 meters above sea level. It is 1.6km away from Marilaque Highway (Km 56). There are rough road portions which are accessible only by 4x4 when it rains, During dry season, it is accessible by sedan cars

Other things to note
RESPECT FOR CARETAKERS:
Jerry & Lyn, our caretakers, are happy to assist you during your stay. They will meet you at the parking lot, help you unload, set up the house (stove, grill, mats, games, etc.), set up the bonfire pit, and, otherwise, leave you be. But please note that they are not there to wash your dishes, set up the table for you, or make your beds while you’re there. If you are unsure about what you can ask them to do, please ask us. Allow them to rest from 9 PM to 7AM and, unless absolutely necessary, avoid calling on them after or before those times. TIPS to express your appreciation of their services are most welcome; you may give this directly to them.

HOUSE RULES
- No shoes inside the cabin. Please use clean slippers in these areas.
- No eating inside the cabin
- Usage of gasoline as a fire starter is STRICTLY PROHIBITED
- Never leave children unsupervised,
- Avoid making too much noise. Karaoke is STRICTLY PROHIBITED. Quiet time is 10pm - 7am
- CONSERVE ENERGY. The property is run by solar power. We will provide one fully charged battery for your stay. At night you can charge your gadgets and leave 2 lights ON and it will last you the whole night There are (8) USB ports and (8) 220v outlets in the cabin. When the sun is up the batteries will be charged again.
- If you have pets, feel free to use our complementary dog house, however, you may also opt to bring your own pet bed in the case you prefer your pet staying indoors. Please be responsible of your pet’s shedding and excrements.
- Please close and lock all windows and doors when you leave.
- Take care of the house stuff: don’t use pots and pans on the grill, be careful handling the plates, glasses, etc, make sure you don’t lose any game pieces—use whatever’s there as you would your friends’ or parents’ stuff when you stay with them.
- Please don’t take anything from the place so future guests can continue to enjoy them and we can keep our rates as low as possible. If ever you do decide to leave some booze or condiments for other guests to enjoy, you can leave them at the kitchen shelves:) Just please allow Jerry or Lyn to conduct a final check before you leave.
- Don’t ask them to do things they're not expected to do. See “Respect for Caretaker” above.
- Respect nature: don’t cut down any trees, shrubs or plants. Leave other living things in peace.
- No littering: throw your cigarette butts or any other trash in the trash bins.
- Policy on outside food & drinks: Guests may bring outside food & drinks, provided that they bring home all empty non-biodegradable containers such as plastics, glass & tin.
- Segregate: We will provide one bin for biodegradable waste and another for everything else. WHICH YOU WILL NEED TO TAKE HOME WITH YOU WHEN YOU CHECK OUT. (ie. glass bottles, tins, plastic).
- Secure your valuables: we are not liable for any loss of personal belongings.
- You are highly encouraged to plant a tree during your stay. Just ask Jerry for assistance. We have various Philippine native hardwood and fruit bearing saplings.
- Unless we’ve made a prior arrangement, be sure to check out at 12noon. We need extra time to clean the premises for incoming guests. YOU NEED TO LET US KNOW AHEAD OF TIME.

- whether you will be bringing pets (this goes with the proper responsibilities of a pet owner)
- anything else you think we should know

CANCELLATION
We allow cancellations with full refund of deposit at least one week prior to scheduled arrival. For cancellations within one week prior to arrival, however, we will only be able to refund 50% of deposit. No refund will be given for no-shows, except for reasons of force majeure.

The 1st floor of the house is for the use of the guests. Guests will have access to all outdoor areas of the house (bonfire pit, grill area, roof deck, outdoor seating area).

Other things to note
∙ Kindly ensure that the inquiry reflects the correct number of guests in the group. Extra charges apply for additional guests.
∙ For groups with pets, any damages made by pets will be shouldered by the guests.
∙ Additional guests may incur extra fees. Last-minute additions (less than 24 hours before check in) will be charged 1,500 pesos per person per night.
∙ Regular check in time is at 2pm and check out is strictly at 11am. Early check in and late check out are accommodated on a case-to-case basis.
∙ Please bring your own towels, toiletries, and slippers for indoor use. Shoes are not allowed indoors to keep the place clean.
∙ The roof deck is open for guests to go up to. Please supervise children here at all times.
∙ The kitchen is available for the use of guests with basic pots, pans, plates, and cutlery. We recommend bringing everything you need already as the nearest market is a 10-minute drive away. There are some variety stores within walking distance, but they may not have what you need. Filtered drinking water is provided in the house.
