The Imperial Sand Dunes is about a 20-minute drive. There are three local casinos to visit. If it is sight-seeing you like, Yuma is rich in history. Lounge chairs & Adirondack chairs are available if you want to work on a tan (add'l plastic chairs are by Tiki Bar). Our guest house may be a little quirky, with a unique layout and features, but it is a comfortable place to stay and play and has all of the great features for a quick pit stop in Yuma (just 1.5 miles off Interstate 8) or for a longer stay for leisure or Mexico medical/dental trips. We've been investing in the home to make it even better … and we're not done just yet. We're reasonably close to Algadones, the Imperial Dunes, and everything Yuma has to offer!

This house shares an approximately one-acre lot with our family home. Both houses have been used for multiple purposes including a period of time when they were used as an assisted living center (with the guest house as offices). The guest house can feel spacious, but has an unusual floor plan that makes it a bit quirky but comfortable. You'll enjoy that this is a completely separate house that affords a lot of privacy during your stay.

The kitchen is small yet functional with a range and microwave (no dishwasher), the family room is spacious and has seating for 6-7 guests. The Master Suite has an attached bathroom which also leads to a utility room that is somewhat large. The second bedroom is comfortable with two twin-xl beds (these can become a single King bed if desired). There is a room between the master suite and the second bedroom that has a desk and chair for working. There is a second bathroom in the common area of the house.

Please note that parking and driveways are dirt. We have a large solar array which can provide covered parking, and/or convenient parking next to the unit is available. We also can accommodate RV/boat parking if needed (Ask for details).

You'll have access to the entire guest house, patio, and there is an available fire pit in the common area near the home.

If travelling to Los Algadones, Mexico, the approximate distance is 25 miles. If San Luis Colorado, the approximate distance is 40 miles. Both of these estimates are primarily freeway/highway drives making them pretty easy from our Quirky Guest Home. We are also less than 8.5 miles from Arizona Western College main campus.

Welcome to our Crim House, your home away from home! Perfect for your family vacation and small family venues, our home is extremely close to all of the popular locations people come to Yuma for. Located 2 miles from Ocean to Ocean Bridge Recreation Park on the Colorado River and the Downtown Yuma shopping district, within 5 miles from Algodones Mexico for those that go there for dental, vision, and medical needs, within 7 miles to the Imperial Sand Dunes for all the winter ATV, sandrail, and side by side enthusiasts, within 20 miles of Martinez Lake, Fisher's Landing, Senator's Wash, and Mitry Lake for all you summertime boating enthusiasts. There is plenty of space on this corner lot property to safely unhitch and park your trailered fun toys. We even have a 25' covered RV type shade structure where you can park your trailer behind a locked gate and keep it out of the weather if needed. There is covered parking for one vehicle and streetside parking for up to 6 vehicles.

Time to cook? Our kitchen is fully stocked with everything needed to prepare your meals. Our stove brand new electric stove has a 5 burner top and the oven is capable of being used as an air fryer for those on the healthier side of eating. We have the blender, mixer, toaster, microwave and other items to help you with your meal prep. We have a full sized bar-b-que grill in the back yard with full propane tanks ready for your grill master to cook up those steaks, burgers, chicken, etc. We have enough silverware, plates, dishes, bowls, glasses, coffee cups, and sooooo much more to comfortably serve 12 people. We have a restaurant style cup rinser at the kitchen sink to rinse and reuse your glasses/cups if you'd like to minimize dirty dishes. Our brand new dishwasher will take care of the cleaning for you so you have more time to enjoy your stay. Also in the kitchen is an amazing coffee and tea bar, with a built in beverage cooler for our guests to enjoy. We also have free snacks readily available on the kitchen bar for our guests to enjoy in between meals.
Enjoy eating as a family in our dining room that is separated from the kitchen by the bar counter. Our country style dining table seats 8 people and there is room at the bar for 4 more people so you can all eat together like family should.
Our past guests tell us our bedrooms have the most comfortable beds they have ever slept in. Each bedroom has memory foam mattresses for that floating on air feeling to give you a very comfortable nights sleep. Need room for more than 6 people? We have three 18" thick queen sized mattresses to sleep up to 6 more guests. We have 2 bedrooms with king beds and the third bedroom has a queen bed. The main bedroom and bathroom (en suite) is extremely huge. So large it could easily fit a queen air mattress on the floor with plenty of walk space around it. Bedroom 2 is equally as large and can fit an air mattress on the floor if needed. Bedroom 3 is just large enough for the queen bed. The second bathroom is in the hallway and is a Jack-N-Jill style with doors from the hall by bedroom 3 and the other door leading into bedroom 2. Both bathrooms are stocked with toilet paper, hand soap, body wash, shampoo, conditioner, and blow dryer. We have enough towels and wash rags for everyone.
We have a full sized washer and dryer in the laundry room inside the house just off the kitchen, complete with all the detergent, fabric softener, dryer sheets, ironing board and iron, and even a pull out clothes line for those items you'd want to air dry.
Enjoy the desert landscape of our front yard that is beautifully decorated with native cactus and other plants. The back yard is set up for calm and serenity with a more tropical type setting. Enjoy the shade screen covered area to lessen the sunrays while listening to the water fall. Sit around the fire table as the sun goes down and enjoy the stars.
As part of your Crim House experience, we encourage you to take a family bike ride on our six "Team Framed" beach cruiser bikes. There is a great bike route from our house that will take you along the main canal down to the rivers edge, then along the river to the Ocean to Ocean Recreation Park, then from the park into the Historic Downtown Yuma shopping and restaurant district on Main Street, and from the shops back to the Crim House. We are within a couple blocks of many restaurants, a grocery store, and drug store if the need arises.
For those of you looking for a venue that can accommodate your family and small company events, this is the perfect place. We have successfully hosted family venues such as weddings, receptions, family reunions, graduation parties, birthday parties, baby and bridal showers for up to 50 people. We have also hosted small company parties. Of course, venue rental of this property will have to be agreed to on an individual basis based on your needs and the price for the venues is not the price listed for those wanting a place to stay. Please read and agree to our additional rules. As well, we have voice and video recording cameras on the exterior of our home located at the front door, back door, front of home and carport side of home. Any attempt to adjust, block, disconnect power to, or alter these cameras in any way will result in a $250 fee and subject to cancellation of your stay, loss of any monies paid, and your immediate removal from our property.

Five dedicated sleeping spaces. Oversized sectional with pullout twin bed. Dedicated desk and work area in loft. Two massive dining tables indoors and outside. Grab the kitchen chairs for added seating for inside dining room! Full bathrooms are upstairs and downstairs with a half bathroom downstairs and another in the outside suite.

You have access to the entire home with the exception of the closet under the stairs. That’s for our amazing cleaning team who meticulously prepared for your stay. You can absolutely use the garage. Additionally, you can park on the driveway and along the street!
Other things to note
You will find a few legacy electronic systems throughout the house (various in wall speakers, outdoor speakers and a couple tvs outside and in garage ). These are intentionally retired in place in an effort to reduce noise for our neighbors and simplify your stay. We want to continue to serve guests for the foreseeable future! Keeping our neighbors happy is vital. Please enjoy the tvs that are installed inside the home by using the volume on the remote. You are welcome to use the portable bluetooth speakers we left on the counter for your stay!
Pool cleaning is on Tuesday and Friday mornings.
To turn pool fountain on walk outside to the left toward the grass. Continue through the black gate immediately on your left is a box that says Pentair. Open it and then follow the labels in there! Please leave it closed and turn it off when you’re done!

- "Location was fantastic. Close to shopping. The house was well decorated and the furnishings were nice. Beds were comfy, however we did buy our own pillows just because all of the pillows were super poofy/thick. Would highly recommend this home though!" - "First and foremost our host Sterling had excellent response to our queries. We had a WiFi issue were couldn’t use VRBO to communicate with our host however our VRBO customer service team was also professional and provided the support we needed. We were well taken cared of. As for the house very clean, full size fridge, dishwasher and electric range. We traveled for a dental procedure for my mom so having a great working blender was great. Sterling provided great recommendations locally. The beds, some of the best sleep in all our lives! So much so that we might replace our mattress with this brand. Another great plus was having access to the washer and dryer. Only cavot as with Most rentals if you’re going to cook large meals not a lot of big pots or sauté pans but we made it work. The house is a shoe free zone so make sure you have clean house shoes, I can’t be barefoot so this was a must for me. The neighborhood was great and very quiet. There an unlite walking path that we also took advantage of. The local Walmart was the best grocery store next to Sprouts that we found. We would definitely recommend and rebook this house or any Sterling manages!"
