- "Excellent resort with upscale touches in the otherwise quite middle-of-the-road island of Rhodes. We stayed at the resort with my family ranging from 6 to 65 in age and everyone was very pleased. There was nothing uniquely exceptional about this resort, but everything was meticulously maintained and up to expectations. My mom and dad enjoyed their beautiful sunset view from the balcony and my daughter loved her "secret pool" on our balcony. And she loved the kids club, of course. Even though compared to many other luxury resorts, it was quite a modest closet next to the pools. But it did the job—and the staff was lovely. The breakfast spread was also excellent and the staff everywhere at the hotel super helpful. We also really loved the location: easy access to Rhodes town but also convenient to explore other parts of the north coast. And the airport was also just right there. We would absolutely stay here again."

- "It is really nice resort. I’m really satisfied with food selection, beach is really nice and clean, sea is perfect. The food was cooked well and a good range of choices, although often stayed on the safe side. The staff we all pleasant and friendly but with the exception of the spa staff it wasn't knock your socks off service. A slight hiccup with the WiFi when we arrive was dealt with very swiftly and they were always on hand to help with any issues or questions. When we visited it was extremely hot (high 30s-40) and so sitting outside in the evening wasn't always the most pleasant and there wasn't a great deal of choice for chilling out late at night. It feels very well suited for families and perhaps slightly less so for couples. Very enjoyable stay, would definitely recommend the private pool option. "

Some small adjustments could upgrade this hotel to somewhere we would willingly visit again. However we had a lovely 10 days of relaxation."

Tastey delicius fresh food." - "Have just returned from a great weeks stay at the Leonardo Kolymbia hotel.. We arrived very late and there was some food left for us in the room. Great location with access to a pretty decent albeit stony beach / harbour. The rooms were very clean and spacious, we had a family room with a divider and sofabed that also had 2 bathrooms and a separate seating / table area and balcony. The staff are really what make this hotel, everyone we interacted with was super friendly and you can tell they love what they do, special thanks to Kiki and the reception team and Magda & George in the bar.. (the restaurant staff and the guy at the pool bar were also great but I didn't get any names) We stayed all inclusive and the food was good, its not Michelin star quality but does the job and the choice was good with lots always available (the kids spag bol was a personal fave) The snacks at the pool were welcome but not too much choice (burgers / chips / pizza / hotdogs) Drinks were good but using local spirits again it does the job and its great to try all the different cocktails. Location was perfect for us but we did have a car (free parking) and used it as a base to travel around the island, (Rhodes old town is a must) Kolymbia does have a pretty decent stip with shops / bars / restaurants all walkable if you want to just stay at the hotel. One thing to note, we went in May and the weather was good but the pool is unheated so was a bit chilly."

Overall, the hotel is set in a beautiful location, well kept and clean grounds. Our room was lovely, with a huge bed, and ample storage. The private pool was cleaned daily, and also had x2 loungers and a day bed. Small things that let it down were, coffee cups that didn't fit beneath the espresso machine, and the constant contact with reception to get our mini fridge re-stocked. It should have been done daily, but a few days we were missed. The beach and pool area was fab, with plenty of loungers available, no matter the time. Food was good, but it felt like a few simple things were missing. Like the offer of milk and a spoon with your morning coffee. A gap in time between breakfast ending and the food truck / pool bar opening, meant a small wait. Ideally overlapping times would be better. The food was great, especially the food truck (with our kids). The x3 private restaurants were good, again small things let it down. Not everything was in the all inclusive, so a bowl of rice was €12 ! All the staff were brilliant & friendly. A small thing that could be easily fixed. We asked for late check out at 5pm, but could only stay in our room till 1pm. This meant shower/changing by the pool before pick up."

- "Everything was lovely staff was welcoming " - "Lovely hotel. Great location. Extremely friendly, helpful staff - restaurant staff, reception, cleaner and beach boy. Special mention to Sofia in restaurant for her excellent service and her staff especially Alexandra (always smiling) and George at the beach. " - "Some of the staffs attitudes need adjusting look down on you if British for some reason. Same with ordering taxis over hour wait. The transfer that the hotel sells as part of the package is a local taxi firm, they mistook our flight home for the wrong date, then when the car finally turned up they had put us down as a family of two not four. The taxi driver somehow made our cases fit but was a bit ticked off as you can imagine. Air con in the room was about as useful as a chocolate fireplace, it was better to have it on than off but I think it needs a service. Ants are a real problem and for a £1000 per head I do not think I should have to be putting towels under the front door to stop them getting in and to settle my child. Food is okay I guess could not really complain, you will not go hungry. The rooms you book are sometimes up steep hills my Dad has copd so not the best location given his lung disease. There is a hotel shuttle service. So no major issue I just wish I had been notified. Entertainment is patchy, even if there is no entertainment put some background music on or it’s awkward. You can walk to the other hotels linked with Maris suites, one is kid Oriented so good for my little one and the other (Roof top bar) kids are allowed but it’s more for adults and although pricey a good environment, apart from some of the staff seem annoyed to be working there or a Bit snotty. Overall we enjoyed our holiday, it’s what you make of it."

- "We stayed in a 2 bedroom bungalow which was spacious and clean. However as we were on the ground floor we had no view which was a shame. The bedrooms were air conditioned but the living room was not which meant we did not really use it. The air conditioning controls for the bedrooms were rather complicated and difficult to find the setting we needed. The hotel grounds were beautiful with lots of lovely plants and flowers and the main hotel building was lovely. The beach was convenient (although across a road which could be tricky with younger children) but the sand was very dirty and gritty. We didn't mind the stones and boulders as we wore water shoes but the litter including cigarette butts was unpleasant. There was a lot of smoking around the hotel. We didn't sit around the hotel in the evenings after dinner because the seating area outside was quite cramped and when we tried it we were engulfed in smoke. The pool was lovely. Refreshing but not too cold but at times the music was far too loud to the point where I couldn't even hear what I was trying to listen to through my headphones. The animation team were great though and really friendly. The staff in the dining room and at reception were always lovely but some of the older bar staff were the opposite. Rude and off hand which was a shame. Overall though a great holiday and the kids loved it!"

- "The resort is a little remote if you want to get out and about, but there's really no need to as the facilities are excellent. The hotel is VERY family friendly and although I congratulated myself on avoiding half-term, it was a bit like being at a RugRats convention! Couples looking for a romantic break might want to look elsewhere, but families will be right at home.The staff are wonderful - attentive and friendly at all times. The food is excellent, in particular the Aegean buffet which serves an enormous variety of well prepared and beautifully presented food. There are many dining options throughout the day. The rooms are spacious and well furnished although the amount of patio/balcony space varies between rooms of the same type/price. I had a jacuzzi room and the tub was top quality and regularly maintained. It is possible to walk the length of the beach to Kefalos if you're feeling energetic. The activitiy pool area is kiddie heaven, surrounded by inflatables and pushchairs and humming to constant background disco music, but there are two much quieter pool areas to escape to and the adults take over in the afternoon with water volleyball & polo. A variety of watersports are offered off the beach. The evening entertainment of various themed singing and dancing shows brought out my sons' inner Simon Cowell, but oddly enough, they wouldn't miss a show! My only grumble is the long trouser rule for men in the buffet at night."

- "No words to describe how good this hotel and its staff are other than fantastic. We will be back " - "Our first all inclusive. Extremely clean and with lots of things to do. Close to Kos Town for day trips to Turkey. Great range of food and activities. Fully family friendly - no rowdy groups. Very enjoyable." - "Loved this hotel. We travelled with a 2 year old child and his grandparents but there was a good mix of ages and nationalities. Food excellent and it was nice that there was 3 restaurants to choose from however the food was pretty much the same in each. During the day you can help yourself to drinks including red/white wine and lager which in 1 area is a help yourself tap. I was initally concerned about the quality of the local 'inclusive' drinks from past all inclusive experiences but the white and red wine was really nice. This is a large hotel complex but the staff at the hotel are really friendly, will stop and say hello and always seems to remember who you are. The 1 slight negative for us was, as we have a 2 year old child it would have been nice to have a play area for his age group, there is a small play area for older children and the hotel run kids club starts from 4 years plus.We were in the main complex which has a kids pool area but we would often go to the satalite buildings kids pool which was about a 5 minute walk away which I think is better for toddlers as it had a paddling pool which the main hotel does not. The satalite building also had a piano bar which made a nice relaxing evening. We would definately go back to this hotel in the future."
