- "Since it was winter and Christmas, it was well decorated with lights. The main lodge was extremely inviting and comfortable. The breakfasts in the morning were well thought out and highly appreciated by guests. It was a busy place in the mornings. The staff kept up with the demands of changing out food and beverages very well. Cleanliness was appropriate especially if you were in a room with a dog. Everything was in proper working order. Staff provided my mother with a hiking pole so she could get around more safely without slipping due to the fast build up of ice due to the weather. We found our room easy to regulate the temperature and that was very nice because we were in Glenwood during a cold spell. All in all our stay was nice. We found our main lamp between the beds dusty with some minor cob webs. As well the shutters when opening needed some cleaning. When we placed the dog food bowl on our floor under the sink we had some very tiny ants quickly come in from underneath the wall molding. We wiped the ants up on cloth and took them outside. Once we picked up the bowl the ants stopped coming in. The grounds for Antlers looked mostly nice and cared for. As for concerns, the neighborhood was less encouraging for security. We noticed people walking through the grounds who seemed to be loitering and seemed somewhat suspicious. One evening there were people yelling and a large party going on across the street. We kept the room secured but still felt a bit uneasy. "

The beautiful side yard is fully enclosed with a 6 foot privacy fence. At the back of the fenced yard is a concrete patio with a gas Weber grill and patio furniture for dining outside.

Lance camper located under our barn at the Flying J Ranch with stunning views of the Colorado River Valley. It has a Private bathroom located in our house for showering and general bathroom use. Pottying is fine in the camper. Please be advised, this is nothing more than a safe, clean and comfortable place to stay in a barn, in our backyard! We do have dogs on our property, they will bark every now and then, but we try to keep them in with us when we have guests in the camper.

This is a camper in a barn, in our backyard! Not a Hilton, Hyatt or even Holiday Inn Express! It is a very inexpensive, clean, comfortable place to stay for people on a budget who want to visit the VERY EXPENSIVE Roaring For Valley. Silt is a small fishing and rafting town. You’ll love our 5 acres of property. It has a 360 degree view of the mountains and a peaceful atmosphere. You grill out on the porch to reading a book on the hammock. You can follow the relaxing sound of the creek around the property or watch the ducks in the pond. You can enjoy a nice campfire while star gazing or check out the deer and elk outside your window. Hablamos Espanol!

The space
There are four of us that live here, my wife, daughter, son and myself. We live on 5 acres, so plenty of room to play, run around, or just go for a walk. We recommend following the creek around the property and feeding the horses. Also the guest area has its own comfortable outside patio. We run the place like a bed and breakfast so every morning you and your family is more than welcome to join. Just let us know in advance and maybe we can cook some huevos con chorizo as well!!

Guest access
In the guest area there are two bedrooms, dinning area and large living room. The dining area consists of a refrigerator, microwave, coffee machine, and basic amenities, but you're more than welcome to enjoy full access to our kitchen. The guest living area is an open concept to watch a movie, play playstation, watch TV, or just sit and read a book in front of the fire. The guest area has its own entrance so no need to walk through the house to leave. We have a pack and play for babies if needed. The two bathrooms are located on the first level. Guests are welcome to the laundry room as well.

During your stay
We love to meet new people from all cultures. We will be around the house to accommodate you and your family as much as we can. If there is anything that we can get you please let us know.

Other things to note
We live 6 miles south of Silt. Our house has two levels: guest rooms, dinning area, and guest living room are all downstairs. The two bathrooms and the kitchen are located on the first floor. Please note that our bedroom is on the second floor. We have two cats an indoor cat Samantha and an indoor/outdoor cat Tony. They are both very friendly. If you feel like talking on the radio around the world I am a ham radio enthusiast. So don't be afraid to ask! Glenwood Springs is 25 miles from the house. We have Verizon for cellphone provider and it works very well. Please read the "Directions and helpful tips" section for more specific directions because some GPS units will only take you to our mailbox, which is 1/4 mile away.
The room dimensions are: 9' x 12' (108 sqft) This room doesn't have window.
