Coming from the AD industry, the decor is stunning and the hotel has a specific scent they use in candles and is prominent throughout the rooms/hotel which is really nice to smell. The lounge/bar area is beautiful and our server we had both afternoons was so nice. The room was gorgeous but there wasn't much to the "city view" and the first night (Thurs) we hardly slept at all due to the nightly jackhammering happening across the street. Luckily they didn't work on the weekend nights. We were excited to try out the pool but it was a scene when we arrived at around 2pm and all loungers were occupied. Breakfast was delish and our server was incredibly kind. We liked the location too - easy to take short ubers to great restaurants and to get to Universal Studios, Hollywood Blvd, etc. Only random thing is that there aren't any ice makers on the floors - no ice for your in-room happy hours but they will bring you some if you like."

It’s a quiet hotel that still has a great restaurant and bar. The staff is amazing and the rooms are really large for the location and price. It doesn’t have the “scene” at the pool like some of the other spots- but it’s still a great spot. The only thing I would avoid is a room near the electrical /storage room. Staff is in and out of it early in the morning and you can hear the door slam if you are in the room next to or across from it. We love this place and probably stay here 5-10 a month! "

West Hollywood is the perfect location for any/all visitors to Los Angeles. There is a park two blocks away, runyon canyon is within walking distance for a great hike, there are plenty of bars and restaurants in walking distance as well.

Located between Sunset Blvd and Santa Monica Blvd, Fairfax And La Brea, there are cool places everywhere. Also walking distance to Melrose Blvd.

I expect you to be respectful of the house.

Smoking is permitted outside on the deck or patio but not inside. No pets unless discussed ahead of time.

The main house is 950 sq ft with AC (but the immense outdoor space makes it feel much larger).

There is an available guest house on the property. If you are interested in renting the property WITH the guest house please ask. I will do my best to accommodate. The fully finished guest house is 750 sq ft. The guest house has ceiling fans Heat and AC.

I occasionally use the guest house (a couple nights a month) but it is separated by a wall of ficus and has separate entry.

There are six exterior ring security cameras on the property. There is also an alexa-powered speaker in the bedroom. You are welcome to unplug it if it makes you uncomfortable.

You're invited to come visit me and my 2 cats in my 2 bedroom 2 bath apartment in fabulous West Hollywood.

The bedroom has a dedicated work space and a full murphy bed with a super comfortable memory foam mattress. Plus, the bathroom is private!

The living room/kitchen will be shared but are completely available for your use. I love getting to know new people and hearing about where they're from. I welcome friendly conversation, good company, and a sense of community.

The space
The bedroom measures 12.5 x 10.5 feet and has a large closet for storage. The window faces east and has a view over a rooftop and onto the street. The curtains are blackout curtains if you need to sleep late. For the summer months, we have an AC unit which can be inserted into the window.

The common area is equipped with a full kitchen. All appliances and cooking implements are available for your use. Fridge, freezer, and pantry space will be shared. I have a small dining table, a fish tank, and a living room area complete with a TV that streams Hulu, Prime Video, and HBO Max. This is a shoe-less household. Outside, I have a small seating area set up in case you are a smoker or simply like to enjoy the outdoors. I also have a propane grill.

Guest access
I'll provide you with a parking pass so you can park anywhere on the street within our permit zone. On Mondays and Tuesdays we have street cleaning 9am-11am on one side of the street and that is the only additional restriction to be aware of.

During your stay
I work freelance in the film industry so my schedule changes from day to day. But I will always be available to answer any questions or concerns by phone if not in person.

Other things to note
A little about me: I work in the film industry and live a freelance lifestyle. It's not easy to predict whether I will be home all day or gone for several days. However, I am a quiet and respectful person to live with. I like to cook so will likely offer you an occasional meal but will also understand if you'd rather keep to yourself.

The space
Casa de Sierra Bonita is run like a mini-hostel with all of its rooms rented out on Airbnb individually. All our rooms are designed for comfort, privacy, and convenience. This is one of our budget rooms, which is designed for the single traveler and is called the Blue Room.

The Blue Room's most attractive features are the spacious interior, small closet, and economical pricing. It is located toward the back of the house and has is outfitted with a nice ceiling fan for quicker cooling during hot summer months. The room comes with a single-sized (twin) bed, keyless private entry, a mini-fridge, a small closet, a desk, and a computer chair. Please note that guests who stay in this room will have access to a shared bathroom that is located immediately outside of the room. This can sometimes cause excessive noise to occur in the room when others are showering or using the restroom.

We hear at Casa de Sierra Bonita value our guests highly. If you need any help before, during, or after your stay, or have any questions/concerns, please do not hesitate to ask.

Guest access
Access codes are shared with guests about a day before their scheduled arrival date. You will receive an automated message with general instructions with parking details, access codes to the main gates and front door as well as a separate access code specific to your room. You will have access to the kitchen, living room, and outdoor common areas. Please be aware the house will have other short and long-term guests residing. So be mindful of your belongings and respectful to other guests.

We only offer street parking at Casa de Sierra Bonita. LA is a major car town and unfortunately, parking around here can be tough. Especially in West Hollywood, which is known for its strict parking policies and specific permit zones. You will be given detailed parking guidelines and instructions when you book, but always be cautious and read street signs carefully before leaving your car.

Other things to note
Check-in time is usually after 4 pm and check-out time is usually before 11 am, however, we can be flexible so please just reach out if you need additional accommodations. If you have any questions, concerns, or special requests please feel free to reach out to us over Airbnb's messaging platform. Please be aware that I am a working professional and may be unavailable or with limited responsiveness M – F between 9 am – 6 pm.

We have a very friendly dog that lives on the property, please let us know if you are interested in meeting or would prefer not to interact with it.

Lastly, please note that this is an old house that was built in the 1970s. The walls are thin and noise travels, so please be courteous to other guests with your volume and noise. This room in particular is located adjacent to the common shower and can sometimes experience excessive noise.

Sometimes things break or stop working properly. We have a highly skilled maintenance staff on call, so if you run into any issue during your stay, just reach out and we will address it as quickly as possible.
