Her property is in a prime location… secluded in the scenic mountains while being just minutes from the slopes, downtown shops, the brewery and more views ! Her home is as cozy as they come … stocked with every item you may need and then some!!! It is spacious both inside and out. Not to mention it was clean and Covid conscious! Trish provided us with tips, hints, coupons, and fun! She answered any question I had in a timely manner and was beyond helpful. Aside from the fun we had at the slopes and in town… Trisha’s board games, hot tub, karaoke speaker, etc. kept the fun going while inside enjoying the snow and views. Location, location, location best defines this spacious mountain getaway. Located at the base of Hunter Mountain sits this beautifully, custom-built home, unlike any other in the area. Nestled in the woods at the base of Hunter Mountain, this inviting home is the perfect balance of convenience and serenity.
We just installed a brand new, paved driveway for your convenience and additional parking.
Only minutes to the lodge parking lot. Great access for skiers or summer festival goers.
Fire Works are frequently displayed during winter months and holiday time periods. You can see these from the comfort of our home right from the living room. In the evening enjoy a fire in the huge fireplace or a fire in the outdoor fire pit while sitting on the back deck.

A variety of restaurants, convenience stores, book stores, art gallery and movie theater are a walk or a short drive away.

The home itself is spacious and open. It is ideal for a ski trip with family or friends or simply relax by the fire in the living room.

There are 3 private bedrooms and 2 additional sleeping areas.

The entry level has a large mud room to store skis, boots, and all your gear, in addition to a washer and dryer. The entry level offers a spacious rec area equipped with a card table and foosball table. It has a beautiful custom full bathroom, cable TV, a twin bed and a pull-out queen sofa that sleeps 2.

The main level is bright and spacious with a fully updated and stocked, modern kitchen. The dining room can seat 8-10.
The adjoining living room has wall-to-wall windows on the mountain side offering an abundance of sunlight and great views of the mountain. There's a flat screen TV with cable and fire stick.

On the other side of the living room is a beautiful large stone fireplace. Wood is provided for you. You can see the Hunter Mtn New Years Eve holiday fireworks while relaxing on the couch in front of a crackling fire. There is a large deck off of the living room.

A lovely master bedroom with cable TV and beautiful custom full bathroom are also located on the main floor.
There is a deck off the kitchen with table and chairs which also can be accessed through the master bedroom.

The third floor has a beautiful custom bathroom with a jacuzzi tub. There are two guest bedrooms, each with two twin beds. Guest bedroom 2 also has cable TV. There is a loft area that has a twin bed. This level has a balcony overlooking the main floor living area.

I provide a very generous supply of linens and towels.
Wood is provided for the fireplace.
For your convenience we offer:

A generous supply of dish washer soap, paper towels, napkins, garbage bags and toilet paper.

- "Great" - "Thankfully there was a big snowfall just prior to our arrival. The skiing was very good for mid-March. The house was very nice. There were no issues with the beds, which for me is a top priority. The kitchen was well equipped, it is dated but in good shape, new fridge, everything worked well. The bathrooms were clean and have recent upgrades. There was a game room with foosball, which was fun. The mud room was perfect for gear drying and storage, new washer and dryer right there too. The driveway could be a challenge for some if you don't have, for the snowy weather, all wheel or 4-wheel drive. We had All wheel and 4 wheel and one front wheel drive, and we managed OK. It was plowed and cindered but it is a switch back and requires some parking organization for multiple cars. There was some salt I could spread in the morning after a thaw and freeze, so it all worked out. The walk to the lodge was through some deep snow approximately 100 ft through woods, across a road, up a snaow bank, and across two parking lots. I didn't do it but the young athletes in the group were fine. But kids needed drop off, which was very close. like 3 minutes. That goes back to the car organizing topic, you have to plan ahead a little. But we were fine with all of it, however I only mention because it could be a challenge for some who are driving challenged or timid on a hills or from....Florida?. Good spot, worked well for our large group."

The house is a very cozy A frame design with wood floors, ceilings and walls throughout. It is a five minute walk to the slopes and has plenty of room for large groups looking to get away for a relaxing ski vacation.
When entering the house there is a tiled ski room to take off, put on and store ski equipment. Sharing that floor are two bedrooms with a full Jack and Jill bathroom. One bedroom has three twin beds, the other has two twin beds which would be perfect for families with children. Upstairs on the main floor is an open concept eating and living area. There is a long island with seating for three and a dining room table with seating for ten. The living room has a television and three comfortable futons which can convert into double beds. This floor also has a a full bathroom and two additional bedrooms. Each bedroom has a full sized bed. From this floor you have access to a deck large enough for lounging, grilling or enjoying the views of the slopes. The upstairs floor has one large bedroom with one full sized bed and one twin sized bed. It also has one small bedroom with one additional twin bed. This floor has a third full bathroom that has just recently been renovated.

If extra garbage needs to be removed there will be an extra charge to be deducted from the damage deposit between $40-80

The Hunter Chalet is conveniently located on the lake at the base of Hunter Mountain. The home consists of 9 spacious bedrooms and 6.5 custom baths. A massive 1,400 sf deck overlooks the patio and your own private lakefront beach. Expansive lake and mountain views, steps to town, ski and water; The chalet is simply the best rental experience in Hunter.

Never Lonesome is a stylish and cozy chalet meant for sharing with friends and family. It boasts 4 bedrooms and 2 baths, with a dining table that seats 8 and a beautiful kitchen for preparing the perfect meal. Very close to Hunter Mountain, our house is the perfect place to retire after a long day of skiing or hiking. On rainy days inside, we have puzzles, games, Roku and best of all, Karaoke Microphones to sing along to your favorite tunes. In the evening, toast marshmallows over the fire pit and gaze up at the stars. We recently installed a handrail and cable spindles to make our stairs more safe for adults and especially kids! Other things to note
The firepit and grill area on the front side of the house are private, but the backside of the house is very near our neighbors. They’re incredibly friendly— they help us take care of the property. And the entire time we’ve owned the house, we’ve never had any issues with them whatsoever. But if you are looking for a remote location, Never Lonesome is probably not the spot for you. We are between two well-traveled roads.

General:

- Please only flush toilet paper down the toilet (no feminine products, paper towels, wipes etc.). Everything else must go in the trash.
- Please try to avoid wearing shoes inside the house.
- Feel free to use the board games and puzzles.
- if you remove the ping pong table please put it back on the pool table before you leave. Often times our cleaners are alone and having to lift the table could present as a problem.

We hope you have a great time and will come back to visit us again soon.
A cleaning service is included in your rental rate; however, we really
appreciate you leaving the house tidy prior to departure since we may have a
short window before our next guests arrive.

Checking out:

Interior:
- Compile bedroom/bathroom garbage into one large bag.
- Make sure all doors and all windows are shut and locked.
- Put all garbage and recycling in the bear proof garbage cans located by the front deck near the parking area– please make sure the lid is secure by lifting up on the lid to make sure it latched. Absolutely no garbage should ever be left next to the can.
- Please ensure there is no food or garbage laying around the house. Everything should be put away or thrown out.
- Return all furniture, books and games to original locations
- Make sure all kitchen appliances are switched off – i.e. stove top, oven etc.
- Turn off lights in all rooms
- Remove sheets from used beds and put them on the floor in that room. Do not remove duvet covers, pillow protectors or mattress protectors
- Place used towels on the bathroom floor
- Remove perishable food from fridge and freezer
- make sure to start the dishwasher before leaving
- Clear all kitchen countertops and leave sink empty
- Ensure you have packed all your phone/iPad/laptop etc. chargers
- be sure to pull the door closed all the way when leaving allowing the door to lock

Garbage: Garbage pick up is on Wednesday’s
No need to take it to the rd he will come to the house to get it.
Be sure to tie all of the bags!

Exterior:
- Make sure pit pit is completely out
- Dispose of all cigarette butts, bottle tops and litter from the property

Damage/Breakages:
We do not have a problem with the odd breakage, but please let us know about it
so we can replace/repair broken or damaged items before our next guests arrive.

Faulty Equipment or Appliances:
Please let us know about any appliance or piece of equipment that isn’t working.
