- "What a great place and the host is amazing. Only draw back is the bunkhouse/sleeping quarters is separate for the kitchen. Which they do tell you about. But, they are so helpful. We got lots of rain and Rose made sure we had an umbrella and anything to make us more comfortable. I will stay again when in the area. Thank you Rose." - "We spent a few days with Jack and Rose over Spring Break. If your an animal lover this place is for you. We interacted with the chickens, pigs, cows, horses, cats and dogs. We collected and ate fresh eggs every morning. Rose will customize your experience to your comfort level with the animals. The kitchen was well equipped with all the utensils and appliances you could possibly need including a propane and a charcoal grill. There were also plenty of spices, condiments, bottle water and other items available. There is a lot to do in the area including a drive thru Safari and some Historic and nature sites. We didn't use the pool because it was a little chilly during our stay, but during the summer it should be very welcoming after a day exploring the area. If you must work during your stay, both cell and internet service were excellent. The hosts were very accommodating and we could tell they were willing to do whatever they could to make our stay enjoyable. They will interact with you or give you your privacy, just let them know what you want."

The small cottage has one queen bed and three bunks, but the bedrooms do not have doors or closets. It is run off of solar power and ground water so enjoy a vacation while you reduce your carbon footprint.

Bucks Head is a secluded cabin tucked away in the woods of East Texas. This open-concept cottage includes a king bed, a loveseat, and a comfortable occasional chair for watching your favorite streaming app on TV. An electric fireplace provides the perfect romantic ambience year-round and additional warmth in the winter.

The kitchenette includes a coffee bar and provides all the necessary supplies for preparing meals and snacks. It is equipped with a microwave, toaster, coffee maker, efficiency-sized stove/oven, and a refrigerator/freezer.

French doors lead from the kitchen to a private, covered deck with a table and chairs for outdoor enjoyment.

A window seat allows one to relax and enjoy a captivating woodsy view or could serve as additional bedding for a younger child (not recommended for an adult or older child).

The bathroom has a unique palladium window by the Jacuzzi tub so guests can soak and relax while enjoying a view of tall hickory and oak trees. A shower is also provided.

The cabin is kept comfortable with thermostatically controlled heat and air. In addition, an electric fireplace, ceiling fan, and a portable fan are available.

The hot tub, laundry room, and activity field are shared amenities. The hot tub is a fairly close walk from this cabin, but as noted above, this cabin has an indoor jacuzzi tub. The hot tub may be reserved for an hour of private use; however, you do not have to reserve it to use it. All other amenities are available on a first-come-first-serve basis.

We have a NO PETS & NO SMOKING/VAPING policy. Smoking is only allowed outside the cabin, away from open doors and windows. Extra fees will be charged if we determine smoking has occurred inside the cabin.

We built a separate Movie Cabin on the hill that has a projector+screen( over 100 movies provided) Cozy up and enjoy the smores while also enjoying Mother Nature. We have tons of deer nearby at this location so you should see them while you’re there. Custom kitchen was put in with nice appliances in case you decide to cook inside . In the upstairs loft we have another movie projector perfect for relaxing with family in the evenings and over 100 DVDs provided for you to choose from. This loft has two beds and plenty of space. In the downstairs master you will find an interior decorated beautifully crafted bedroom with a unique built in hidden reading nook. Away from the cabin up the walking trail there is a private reading room that also had a projector for a family movie night and a great place to getaway. This property is fun for the whole family and offers everything you need for a great vacation!

Plenty of space and places to sit while not overly crowded with furniture. There is a grocery store nearby.
