The private stocked lake doesn't require a fishing license and has an available fishing pier and mini-pontoon peddle boat with trolling motor. Guest Access:
Large horseshoe drive for easy entrance and exit - perfect spot to park your RV (no electric or sewer connection available).

You will enjoy access to the entire cottage and outdoor areas.

The Neighborhood:
The cottage is located in the most convenient area in town for proximity to food (fast food and sit down restaurants are less than 5 minutes away), shopping (Walmart is les than 5 minutes in one direction and downtown vintage boutiques are less than 5 miles in the other direction), and the railroad.

Getting Around:
If you're planning on visiting Palestine, TX, you'll probably want a vehicle. The city doesn't have public transportation. Ubers are available, but not that plentiful.

Other Things to Note:
The cottage is suitable for up to 6 six, which can include a family of 6 or 3 couples.

In an effort to maintain a secure premises, the home is equipped with two exterior cameras (one on the front door and one in back above the deck). The cameras are ONLY on the exterior, and there are NO cameras on the interior.

A rustic cabin in the woods, halfway between Palestine and Athens, Tx. The property is a gated 57 acres with lots of wildlife, pond with catfish and lots of trails for exploring. This is prime hunting land with an abundance of deer, wild hogs, and squirrel and full of both pine, hardwood and native grasses. Visit us during Dogwood Trail days, the Dogwood Jamboree in Palestine or festivals throughout the year like the fiddlers reunion and the black-eyed pea festival in Athens.

The Lonestar Duplex offers two well appointed efficiency units. Each offers a Queen size bed, dining/sitting/work area, and kitchenette. The kitchenette includes all you'll need for a quick meal: 2 burner cook top, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, and basic kitchen wares. Or if you're not in the mood to cook, we are also a Bed and Breakfast so our amazing home cooked breakfast may be available for an additional fee.

The bunkhouse is a cozy countryside retreat set on a Longhorn Cattle ranch. This charming home features 2 queen beds and 1 sofa bed. 2 covered porches with rockers & patio set for enjoying drinks or cooking meals on the outdoor grill. It has 2 ponds and 1 lake that you can fish in. Fish are fed 2 times daily. Ask for schedule if you want to observe the fish feeding. We have carts to reserve to rent for a daily rate. Perfect for bird watching. Space for hiking and enjoying the beautiful sunset & sunrises.

The Ranch at Walston Springs is a unique and rustic retreat located just 3 miles south of Palestine, TX. Relax and unwind with the peace and quiet of the country.

Our cabins are the perfect place to call home away from home. The quiet country setting of our cabins is a great alternative to traditional hotel style lodging. Our guests can enjoy strolling around our 23 acres, fishing in our one acre spring fed lake, watching the chickens free range or the cows grazing in the field.

The Coop offers a nice front porch to enjoy our peaceful country setting. This cabin can accommodate up to four guests with a Queen Size bed in the bedroom and Futon that makes a full size bed in the living area. You’ll find the well equipped kitchenette perfect for meals with a 2 burner cooktop, full size refrigerator, microwave, toaster, coffee maker and dishware. The bathroom offers a tub/shower combo.

We are also a Bed & Breakfast, so our delicious, home cooked breakfast is available for a small additional cost.

Don’t forget your fishing gear! You are welcome to enjoy our 1 acre, private spring fed spring lake. No license required

Come stay in this well maintained super cozy modern RV that is set on a private ranch. It has the best view in the county! Sleep on an oversized aftermarket mattress that is most comfortable! A full kitchen & fridge. Recliners & full size couch that makes into a bed for 2. View the beautiful countryside that surrounds the RV. Watch Longhorn cattle grazing in the pasture. All birds native to East Texas can be seen here, including Eagles & Hawks. There are 3 places to fish or enjoy watching the fish feed, ducks, frogs and turtles. There are wild animals that can be seen such as deer, raccoons, skunks, coyotes, snakes etc. You will need to be mindful and watch where you step to avoid most. After a full day of relaxing hiking and or fishing settle back and watch the sun go down from the highest point in the county! We have 2 seat or 4 seat gators for rent by the day. If interested please reserve ahead. Be prepared for mud or dust, our driveway is a work in progress so we still have areas that are unpaved. We only allow fishing with barbless hooks. We are catch & release mostly, but if you want to catch some to eat we will show you where to fish and the cleaning area.
