- After using kayaks or paddle boards, do not tie up and leave in water. They may sink. Please put in yard until next use. Put back on kayak stand upon checkout.
- Replace all water toys to where you found them in the condition you found them. Hang up life-jackets, roll up and secure lily pad, etc... Shed doors must be closed.
- Do not move the furniture. If you do, move it back or you will be charged a $100 moving fee. Our cleaning crew are not movers.
- Please let owner know if propane tank runs out. We have extras for you to use, but to make sure we always have this, we always re-fill tanks when they run out!
- Please follow check-out instructions. They are there to insure future guests have as great a stay as your own!

What we love about our outdoor space:

OUTSIDE we LOVE: our 160’ waterfront lake view!!; our relaxing back deck where 6 can dine and an additional 4 can sit on the large size rockers flanked by 2 outdoor fans; our lakeside fire pit that seats 8; our outdoor summer shower; our toy shack with 4 kayaks, Lilypad, and outdoor games such as corn hole and croquet; and certainly not least our new boat dock with an extended walkway that puts you about 90+ feet into the water. Here you can swim off the party deck, fish, or relax on two swings after turning on our mounted deck fan. You may bring your personally owned V-hull boat (up to 24' long and max 6000#) or 1 (one) personal watercraft. A signed Dock Usage Agreement, along with proof of boaters liability insurance will be needed 24 hours after booking. (Please note that no boat rentals are allowed on lifts nor tied to the dock as they are not insured)

INSIDE we LOVE: our panoramic lake view that stretches from the dining room through our open concept living room that seats 9 comfortably; our dining room that seats 10 plus another 4 at a lakeview bar table; our kitchen that is easy to work in and is well labeled and stocked; an additional small frig for extra drinks is located in our game room that includes a smart TV, ping pong, air hockey and a closet full of family board games/puzzles; our 3 charming upstairs bedrooms that offer vanity areas in each room. Two of the bedrooms have quiet reading nooks and the master has a smart TV. The game room is downstairs and converts to a 4th bedroom offering a sleeper sofa with a thick mattress (no bar) and a lockable door.

*For the protection of our property, there are exterior security cameras at the front door, overlooking the driveway, side garage door, backyard, and boat dock. There are NO cameras inside the house. Please note the cameras do record 24/7. We ask for quiet hours between 10pm and 8am.

*Please note fireworks are prohibited by the city and by Trinity River Water District

*There are three smart TV's offering. Be sure to bring your login information for other apps such as Netflix, Hulu, etc. Wi-Fi is provided.

- "This is a beautiful lakehouse. The views of the lake are fantastic. The boat dock is like sitting in a little house in the middle of the lake. The lake was low when we were there, but the location of this house made that no big deal. There is still plenty of water in front of the house for fishing, swimming and beautiful views. It is also very quiet. It is also pretty easy to find. The kitchen is well stocked. Beds are comfortable, (firm beds) with an assortment of pillow choices. Plenty of towels, and amentites. My family enjoyed the game room with foosball & ping pong. The living room is comfortable for tv watching and lounging. Large, beautiful trees in the backyard. It was super hot while we were there, so we didn't use the fire pit, but it is adorable. We kayaked, used the lily pad, and swam. Everything is in great working condition."

The Neighborhood:
The house is located in a quiet neighborhood on Cedar Creek Lake a few miles from Gun Barrel City, Texas. The neighborhood is all single family homes. The homes are a mix of weekenders and full time residents.

Getting Around:
You can walk/bike around the neighborhood but would recommend a car if you wanted to go to shopping or out to eat. You are just a few miles from the main road with shopping, restaurants, attractions. You are about 10 minutes off highway 175 that runs from Dallas to Athens. You are about 30 minutes from Canton Trade Days!!

Other Things to Note:
Friendly pups are welcome (2 pet max). There is a $50 fee per pet charged separate.

Lakeside Luxury Retreats owns the property next door, The Benjamin II. Have an extra large group? Need more space? The home was very new and the property managers were great. Renting a pontoon was a must, it was so much. Would stay there again" - "Our stay was great and the home was very clean and beautiful! Some things to keep in consideration is that this property has another property right next door that seems to also be a rental with no fence dividing the two. Our neighbors were nice and friendly so no issues here but good to keep in mind while booking. Second, the lake level was about 3ft deep from the dock. Not sure if this is how it always is or just due to being summer and lack of rain. Because of this, we didn’t spend much time on the water but rather in the hot tub! This property is stocked with plates, utensils and cups so cooking and using the grill our was super easy and convenient!"

When booking a property at a lake there are things you should look for. We chose this house based on the below things some other houses didn't have and we could not be happier! We would love to host your family for a memorable vacation to Cedar Creek Lake.

1. The home is safe for swimming because it is in a protected cove.
2. Views- the views are on open waters, not in a canal that has obstructed views.
3. We have a bug misting system. At any lake there will be bugs, but our outdoor auto bug misting system keeps them at bay. It sprays three times a day and is completely harmless to people and pets.
4. Shade- there are two large trees that take turns shading the fenced in yard so you're protected from the Texas sun.
5. Double decker boat dock. The top is a party deck for sunbathing, dining, and enjoying views. The lower dock has awnings you can roll out to create shade and fish from .
6. Proximity to fun- 1 min to local restaurants and bars, 5 mins to Wal Mart and shopping, located BELOW the highway. 20 mins to Triple N Ranch Winery. 5 mins to Whoa Zone for Kids.

No parties, no events. ** For family gatherings: 8 adults max, 10 kids max. For adult only gatherings: 10 adult max (unless agreed upon). Thanks for understanding!

- "This home was VERY kid/pet friendly! My kids felt entertained by the amenities the entire time. We will definitely be back!" - "This property was awesome and perfect for our family, kids and even the babies! It has EVERYTHING - makes packing for our week stay a breeze! Clothes and sunscreen and you are all set! The yard was shady with fun toys for kids when you needed to get out of the sun. The dock had floats and was easy to get in and out of the water, it was roomy with awnings to beat the heat too. We cooked every meal and the kitchen was FULLY equipped. All the extras like ice machine, roomy fridge, wine fridge, books bedside for the kiddos (such a nice touch!), bath supplies, outdoor kitchen and outdoor fridge too! Best part too was that the host was so accommodating and easy to work with. We had a stopped up tub (things like that can happen sometimes!) and they got someone out to fix it in a very reasonable time. It was a very hot time of year and yet the house stayed comfortable and cool. Bugs are common at the lake and while we dusted spider webs every morning, we never saw mosquitoes or bitting bugs thanks to their bug system - which I’ve never seen before at houses we’ve rented - it worked! Such a comfortable home with plenty of windows to watch the beautiful lake view! This was our fifth summer to rent at Cedar Creek and easily the best - we will be back!"

The large kitchen, dining, and living room space is an open area for friends and family to eat together, play games, watch TV, and take in the amazing view of the lake. The dining room table seats seven and 3 bar stools along the nearby kitchen bar provide extra seating. The kitchen offers stainless steel appliances, cooking essentials, and plenty of counter top space. With the open design, you can enjoy the views even while preparing food or using the kitchen sink. Enjoy the natural light flowing in from the kitchen skylight.

Adjacent to the living space is the large master suite. The master has large windows with a fantastic view of the lake. It features a king bed with soft bedding, dual nightstands, dual closets, a desk and chair, a large mirror and its own access to the patio. The master ensuite bathroom features a skylight, newly renovated shower, tub, and dual sinks.

Two of the other guest bedrooms have a queen bed with soft bedding, dual nightstands, a dresser, a large closet, a mirror and a smart TV. The bunk room has 2 bunk beds, each with a full bottom level and twin top level. The bunk room also has a full length mirror, free-standing wardrobe, smart TV and plenty of floor space. The guest rooms and common areas have access to a half bath and a full bathroom. The full bathroom features a newly renovated shower, a skylight and counter space for your toiletries. All bathrooms have a hairdryer.

A laundry room with heavy-duty full-size washing machine and dryer is available for your use. A iron and ironing board is available. Through the laundry room, you can access the garage where you'll find a ping pong table, a paddleboard, fishing rods, and cornhole.

And for the best views, head outside! The large covered patio has a grill, dining table and additional seating. The uncovered seating area near the house is perfect for enjoying the weather in partial sun while close enough to head back in for refills. Towards the end of the day, move to the fire-pit circle. And if full sun is your speed, take advantage of the top deck of the newly renovated dock.

The lake is open to various water sports. If you choose to paddleboard or swim, you can access personal flotation devices in the master bedroom closet. Boat rentals and personal watercraft are available around the lake. A public boat ramp is located 7 minutes away at Tim Finley Park. Cleats are available to tie your boat along side our dock. The neighborhood is safe and walking & biking-friendly. Restaurants, grocery stores and gas stations are as close as a 5 minute drive to Main Street.

The owners are both detail-oriented and experienced STR users with high expectations. The property is small dog friendly because they have often traveled with their small dogs and would like to share that opportunity with others.

Enjoy kayaks, fishing, and swimming from our backyard lake access or just spend some needed time connecting with your family. Gather in our modern kitchen, play the many indoor and outdoor games or just enjoy the day in wistful hammocks or tree swings. We are excited to host your lake adventure.

Our home was recently completely remodeled and you will have access to the entire home. Our large backyard provides access to the lake with a kayak launch/lake ladder. You will enjoy the large back deck with plenty of lounge areas. There are three bedrooms; two with queen beds and a bunkroom. The bunkroom has four full sized beds that are extra long and designed for adult or children.

The house is equipped with everything you need in the kitchen for great cooking indoors or out. Inside we have a cozy woodburning fireplace and slider patio doors that open completely to provide indoor outdoor living. If you prefer to grill or smoke that awesome Texas brisket, we have you covered with combo grill/smoker with a gas grill on one side and a full wood/charcoal smoker on the other. We have a full set of BBQ tools available.

Our backyard provides a firepit with five Adirondack chairs and multiple yard games including giant Jenga, giant connect 4, a football, soccer, and badminton set. We also have two tree swings.

Parking is available in the driveway, but please limit it to four vehicles.

Boats: We not nor currently have a boathouse or pier. The public boat launch is within few miles of the house. If you bring a boat you are welcome to tie up to our seawall in the backyard, but we request that your boat be trailered when not in use (evenings) to protect our seawall from any damage.

The home is located within a short drive to the main street in Gun Barrel City which provides quick access to restaurants, Starbucks, a nearby state park, and a family fun park.

- "The property was exactly the lakefront getaway that we were hoping to find and it was perfect for our family/friends weekend (2 adults and 5 older teens)… the house is adorable and the waterfront location is incredible! My husband and I never missed a sunset on the water from the adorable 3 level deck. The bunk room was awesome with a closet FULL of games and activities, and large, full size beds… plus each bunk had its own light and built in nook and charger outlet for phones and belongings. The other bedrooms were quite nice too, especially the very spacious master… The house and grounds are perfectly designed and well-stocked with anything you could possibly need like sunscreen, aloe, and bug spray as well as beach towels and a S’Mores kit to enjoy during the stay! The owner Mark was SO easy to work with and readily available to help if needed, and even mailed me back an item that I had left in the lovely master bath. There were SO many activities that the kids could enjoy- kayaks, paddle board, lily pad for floating, two super FUN tree swings, corn hole, fire pit…. This house has EVERYTHING! We had a hard time choosing between the top 3 houses we were looking at, but we were thrilled that we chose Blue Daze! It was the PERFECT house for our fun filled long weekend at the lake! Beautiful living area with a fabulous view of Cedar Creek Lake. Including seating and accommodation for 16. 4 bedrooms ( 2 have full size bunk beds and one includes a trundle), 3 bathrooms, large living area, 4 TV's, and a 3 level, outside deck with chairs and loungers that allows you to enjoy wonderful sunsets on the water, a boat dock with a fenced in yard and hammock. Boat dock lift is not available to renters but we do have an open whip for a jet ski.

The Gun Barrel City ordinances for VRBO rentals limit the number of cars in a driveway. ours is five, even though it holds more. if you have a need for more than five cars, please consider finding another parking area, and then having someone commute with another member of the family or team to the lake house. house. It is the responsibility of the renters to find area to park in.

This a great place for family fun and family reunions, since our dining table will seat up to 20 people. Do you enjoy fishing? Just walk out on the dock and cast away. In addition we do have a bunk room available with 4 bunkbeds and additional bathroom that can sleep additional guests. You can contact us for the rates if you would like to rent it also. Within a few miles there is a recreation center called Whatz Up with bumper cars, go carts, paintball, pin ball machines, and birthday packages available. In nearby Tool, there is a square dancing hall. There are 2 public 9 hole golf courses as well a semi - private one all within 5 to 15 miles of the house.

Two rules that must be obeyed. The first I mentioned about the parking. please no more than five cars in the parking lot. second. no jumping or diving from the seawall. that is dangerous and could end up with broken limbs or a broken neck. All diving and jumping must be from the dock walkway or the dock, past the stairs.

The Neighborhood:
The house is located in a quiet neighborhood on Cedar Creek Lake a few miles from Gun Barrel City, Texas. The neighborhood is all single family homes. The homes are a mix of weekenders and full time residents.

Getting Around:
You can walk/bike around the neighborhood but would recommend a car if you wanted to go shopping or out to eat. You are just a few miles from the main road with shopping, restaurants, attractions. You are about 10 minutes off highway 175 that runs from Dallas to Athens. You are about 30 minutes from Canton Trade Days!

Other Things to Note:
Friendly pups are welcome (2 pet max). There is a $50 fee per pet charged separate.

Lakeside Luxury Retreats owns the property next door, The Benjamin I (Featured on all booking sites). Have an extra large group?! Need more space?! These two homes sit side by side and have two large adjoining backyards, perfect for reunions and larger group stays. - "The host was great. The location was good as well. Kayaks and paddle boats were a lot of fun. Water around the dock was about 3-4 feet deep and a little warm in places. Would recommend renting the pontoon boat. Overall great experience would stay again." - "We have been renting at Cedar Creek for years and rent multiple times each summer. This property was a brand new build and pretty with a nice two story dock, hot tub, and a garage with darts, spike-ball, and ping pong. We brought two jet skis and tied them up to the dock. Kayaks were provided with property and were great to use exploring down the finger. We took the jet skis out to main lake for tubing. Late afternoon we played volleyball in the shade. At night when mosquitos were out we used the garage for ping pong and spike ball. The only con for us with this property was the shallow water on this finger of the lake as we are all big swimmers. But we floated on rafts and went just out about 7 homes or so to the open water for water sports. The property managers were great too. A kayak paddle broke and they were out with a new one on the same day! Lovely lake house with 4 bedrooms and a kitchen / living room with big windows facing the lake. We had a fun week."

This property was the perfect gathering place fir our family!" - "This house and amenities are wonderful. The house is super cute - decor & layout worked well. Took a minute to find the laundry out on the porch but it was nicely stocked with pods & dryer sheets. There were plenty of bath towels for us (5 adults). We could only find 3 beach towels though. Kitchen was stocked with BBC coffee, and everything you need to cook. Also there were 3 hair dryers. Loved the kayaks, pool and hot tub. It will be hard to stay anywhere without a private pool again! We loved staying here!"

The house has been tastefully decorated and is in great condition. I believe that Jenny and Chris have been great listeners and their property is thus reflected. At every turn, there is another surprise -- phone chargers by each bed, bidets on the water closets, wifi all over the house, great TV, board games and great grill on the deck, three walk-in showers with soap and shampoo (8 folks and we never ran out of hot water), not to mention a washer and dryer. The towels and linens are luxurious and abundant. The kitchen has everything you need, except food, and the fridge was even stocked with water bottles. We were concerned about the low water level in the lake, but that turned out to be a blessing. We enjoyed using the floating dock pad and were able to stand on the bottom well clear of the docks and play on SUPs and kayaks for hours at a time. It was really hot outside in the 100's during the day, but the air conditioning inside was more than adequate and provided a really comfortable atmosphere both night and day. There is also a pretty good size yard in the back to play games on. Jenny and Chris are excellent communicators, responding to our questions and concerns promptly. They even have an app they call the "guidebook" for their property which is very informative. We had a great time here!!"

Kitchen is fully stocked, with two dishwashers, and double fridge / freezers to accommodate your group. Plenty of board games are available as well. Second floor includes 2 king bedrooms each with ensuite and access to upper balcony. Two bedrooms, one with a with a King bed and computer set-up and anther bedroom with 2 queen beds, share a full bathroom with tub / shower via the hallway access. Finally, the bunk room has 5 total Queen beds with 2 bunk bunk beds for the kids and its own ensuite bathroom. There is an additional stacked washer & dryer on this level too.

Outside we have a covered porch with outdoor dining table, and couch seating. Enjoy the gourmet outdoor kitchen featuring a propane grill, flat top griddle, fridge and sink. There is a Solo stove for night time bonfires. There are stairs and ladder leading into the lake, with access to 6 kayaks, paddle board, and life jackets for renters. If you elect to bring your boat or rent a boat, please know there is not anywhere to dock the boat overnight, you will need to pull the boat from the water as the water can be unpredictably rough and has resulted in tied-up boats smashed against the seawall. There is a boat launch less than 5 minutes from the house and plenty of driveway space to park it.

Please note, this is a family neighborhood, so loud parties, bachelor / bachelorette type parties are not permitted. Renters must be over 25 years old and we may request ID to verify. There are outdoor security cameras only, no cameras are inside the house.

- "We loved our stay at Matthew's house. The house is very well appointed and had everything we needed for a wonderful 3 day weekend. Everyone had plenty of space and rooms were comfortable. Everything was clean and we had plenty of linens and supplies. King size beds in all main bedrooms is HUGE. The kids loved the bunk room and we put all the girls in the room with 2 queens. The upstairs bathroom shared by Bedroom 4 and 5 is not a Jack and Jill (like I assumed). It's out in the main hallway, which is fine, just something to consider when assigning rooms. The big open water was great and deep in front of the house and the lawn and patio were great. We would definitely book again. "
