We are located in East Texas right between Lake Tawakoni and Lake Fork and only 20-25 minutes from Canton. You will enjoy a detached apartment with plenty of beds upstairs, a pull-out couch downstairs, a full bath, and full kitchen. There is a shuffleboard table in the apartment so you can challenge your friends or family. We also have a 5 acre lake for fishing or just walking around as well as a pool for you to enjoy in the summer months. There is plenty of room to park your boat along with an entrance gate for extra security. Come on out and enjoy the country!

Just little over an hour outside of Dallas our tiny house is nestled between Lake Tawakoni and Lake Fork in East Texas.

Unplug from the city life, enjoy local cattle auctions, shopping or rent a boat at one of the lakes. In addition to the one bedroom the house has 2 additional sleeping lofts with floor mattresses, one has 2 twin beds while the other has a queen size air bed. The kitchen is fully stocked with pots, pans, and dinnerware. Being away from the city you will be amazed at the number of stars and constellations you can see in our wide open sky. Located just 30 mins from Canton, it’s a great location for first Monday trades days. Canton, the largest flea market in the world, is the perfect place to pack up the wagon and take the family for the day.

I first reached out regarding this cute little place on a Saturday morning, following a terrible summer storm that took out electric service for more than 40K people. Greg told me he was already booked with other folks experiencing the same outage. I wasn't surprised, due to the sheer number of people affected, and kept searching for a place for my elderly parents to stay. A short time later Greg contacted me again, saying the current guests were checking out and he could make the tiny house available to us. Greg drove from Ft Worth, cleaned the tiny house and welcomed my parents into this cute home-away-from-home by 7 that evening. My parents stayed here for 3 nights until their electricity came back on. Although tiny, the space felt spacious and had everything they needed. It was very clean and well stocked. The location was nice as well, just a few short miles from grocery stores and restaurants, but felt as though it was deep in the country. I am forever in Greg's debt for making this VRBO available to my parents and would not hesitate to stay there again should the need arise."

- "Property was nice, great water view. Owners very helpful and quick to respond. I read some reviews about AC issues, it was hot when we got there and took some time to cool down but it was 105 outside at 4pm and my AC at my house does not like this summer either and it stays on all day. But after we went out on the boat for a few hours we came back to a nice cool house with great water pressure and comfortable beds to sleep in. Back pouch was nice for me and an old friend to catch up on and have coffee while we waited for the kids to get up. Would stay here again if the need or time comes up. If you bring a boat launch on the west side of the bridge. You will be glad you did."

- "We had the pleasure of booking a getaway to the country for a large group of 12 adults (late 20s & 30a) and 2 kiddos. There was plenty of space for 6 couples and the little ones to sleep, sit, and relax. We spent the majority of our stay poolside, but spent late evenings playing games and hanging out indoors. Having the separation of space for the main home and guest house worked out perfect so that we had an additional space to not worry about noise and waking up the kids. All amenities were put to use from the outdoor grill, to kitchen + cookware, games, pool table etc. Towels, and toiletries were a relief to our group as well! Beds were comfortable and the home stayed cool! (even during triple digit heat wave) Skip really thought of everything for the perfect weekend getaway. He provided easy to follow instructions and was also quick to respond for any questions that we had. We will most definitely be planning future stays at Whatabarndo!"
