Whether you're attending a wedding nearby at The Grand Ivory or Bethel Rock, gathering with loved ones, or simply escaping the city for a breath of fresh air, this home invites you to slow down and savor every detail. Inside, you’ll find vaulted wood ceilings, a stone fireplace, and curated decor throughout. There are five private bedrooms with plush bedding and Tempurpedic mattresses, along with three spacious bathrooms — including a serene master suite with a soaking tub, sunset views, and two walk-in closets.

The kitchen is fully stocked and designed for gathering, with granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, and a dining space for 12. The main living area offers a cozy space for movie nights with a 77” Sony OLED TV, and each bedroom features its own TV for winding down. High-speed WiFi is available throughout the home, along with a peaceful, tucked-away office nook — ideal for guests who work remotely or simply need to check in between moments of rest.

Our tiny space features remote entry and your own porch for sitting and enjoying the sunset. Approximately 550 sq. feet with many amenities and is a private unit. The queen size bed is a murphy bed and can be folded up to give you more space. The space can accommodate up to 4 people 1 queen and two fold out beds Please message if you'd like to bring. Portable crib and all linens provided for children under 2. We have alpaca, emu, goats, chickens, ducks, turkeys, dogs, & cats. We welcome pets and there is a pet fee. The space does not have a stove ,oven or dishwasher, but there are plenty of tools to cook with. We allow well behaved pets and dogs on leashes when outdoors. Smoking is permitted on the porch only. Our clean up and check out protocols are relaxed, you are our guest! We have a small farm store on site featuring eggs, honey, soap, candles, and more. This is the country, if you are looking for luxury our spot likely isnt for you. If you are looking for a cozy cottage and love animals and the great outdoors book with us. We live onsite, we allow our guests to determine interactions. Complete privacy is respected, this is your getaway. If you would enjoy a farm tour and interacting with us that is welcome as well. Our livestock is most active morning and evening. We have 19 alpaca, 4 emu, 6 goats, and a lot of feathered friends including turkeys, ducks, guinea, & chickens.

Upstairs is an awesome room with a kitchenette, an 85" TV, and plenty of sleeping space. The guest house also has another full bath, an outdoor covered hang-out area, and an upstairs covered deck to overlook all of the activities.

To maintain secure premises, the retreat is equipped with four exterior cameras that record video and audio. The cameras are ONLY on the exterior, and there are no cameras on the inside.

The person renting the house must be over 25 years old, and must be present during the rental.

For getaway weekends, family reunions, and romantic night outs, this property has it all covered with a 4Bed/2bath farmhouse, an in-ground pool (not heated) and heated spa(available 365 days), and a huge outdoor living space to entertain large families.

Media and game room. We have renovated our barn and we have added a new media/game room space. Guest are now allowed to book this space (needs separate reservation). We have a 250" screen to watch your favorite movies/games using guest's private Amazon/ Netflix account, we have billiard pool table, poker game and a bar space. Please contact the host to book this space.

The property has four security cameras and recording devices. Cam1 located on the main gate (ON 24 hrs, 365 days). Cam 2 located on the right side of the main door when you enter the house (ON 24hrs 365 days). Cam 3 located on the north side of the house (ON 24 hrs, 365 records). Cam 4 pool side (OFF until the guests checks out). There are no other cameras in the house. Guest privacy is very important( in the private areas ) is important to us. - "When we first arrived at the property, I was incredibly impressed that the home was more beautiful in person than the pictures portrayed. The host had provided goodies in the kitchen that were a surprise and ended up being great to munch on during our stay. They were very accommodating in letting us delivery groceries ahead of time since I was worried that food would be scarce due to the eclipse. Everyone in the family had a blast and kept complimenting me on finding this home for our family vacation. We had five adults and five children and did not feel at all cramped. Even though the weather was a little windy and cool, the kids still had a great time playing in the pool because they could warm up in the spa. Having two living areas was great for the big family so the kiddos could watch cartoons while the grown-ups spent time together, along with an outdoor living area as well! The kids also loved getting to all bunk together in one room for a giant cousins sleepover every night. We ended up watching the eclipse from the pool deck - the kids managed to take a quick break from swimming. Also, even though it felt very secluded and away from town, DoorDash and Ubereats still had plenty of options when we didn't feel like venturing out. All of the necessities were there for grilling out and making meals for the family. Overall, it felt like a home away from home, was very well taken care of, and the host went above and beyond to make sure our stay was nice. Thank you!"

Guests can enjoy amenities like a fully stocked kitchen, fenced backyard with a doggy door, washing machine/dryer, AC, WiFi, and all the comforts of home. The view from the rocking chairs on the front porch shows flower gardens, a vegetable garden, and wide open fields, The view out the back yard shows forest and flower beds and room for your furbaby to run.

- "We stayed at the Sparrows Nest for my son’s wedding. I can’t express how much Sherry (the host) went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed. She communicated with us and was extremely helpful and understanding with our families dog (who is a tad reactive). The little thoughtful items that are around the house. (Extra toothbrush in case you forgot yours, items for your pet, fenced in back yard). Besides all that, they have a lovely nature path through their fields where you can walk and enjoy the flowers. (I enjoyed watching the birds and butterflies) it was a nice quiet getaway for a very hectic but beautiful weekend. It is located around a few different towns which offer food. I use the Wild Daisy hair salon in Leonard as well as the cafe across the street from them. Both were amazing. If you are going to be in the area and need a place 9 minutes from Leonard TX. I would 100% recommend the Sparrows Nest."

We offer a wonderful setting in the country. This is a great place to just relax and enjoy beautiful sunsets and a sky full of stars at night. We have plenty of land to take a nature walk or visit with the animals, including goats, chickens, peafowl, horses. Maybe you would rather bring your fishing pole and enjoy one of our many ponds or visit some of the shops on the square in historic downtown Farmersville. We are always happy to answer any questions you might have.

- "I took a chance and tried to rent this place. I figured it was going to be a bit rustic but it was moldy and smelled of rats. My family decided that we were not going to stay there. First, I tried to contact the property owner to get check-in instructions. He did not answer his phone. My family then realized the place was unlocked and went in, decided we were not staying and left the property. The next day the owner answered his phone and I let him know we’re could not stay there. After two unproductive conversations with the owner I contacted VRBO. VRBO says I needed to cancel 30 days before the rental date for a full refund, 15 days for a 50% refund. Both the owner and customer service suggested that I should have looked at the property before committing to rent it. (I live about 5000 miles from Texas) I have a claim with VRBO to have my money refunded. My security deposit was finally refunded after about two weeks. The owner of the house refuses to refund the rental cost. Customer service has been unprofessional at best. Another family member rented the big house next door to this one and neither of us would rent from the man again."

FAQs:
-Pets? Yes! We do have a $100 fee, so you'd just add them in the same location as where you choose your number of guests. We also ask that they're never left unaccompanied (for their safety). It's not required, but would be lovely if you let us know you're bringing a service animal so we don't try to charge a pet fee if we see you with a pet.
-What about the grill? It is propane and propane is provided.
-Is the dome private? It is private. You do not share any space.
-Is there heating/air conditioning? Yes. There are two air conditioner units in the living room and one in the bedroom. It still does get warm in the afternoon in the dome so please plan accordingly.
-Do we share a bathroom? No, the bathroom is yours. The "bath house" has two sides, but you only have access to one of the sides and we've built a wall in between so you don't see other guests.
-Do you provide firewood, decorations, etc.? We don't but often there is firewood leftover from previous guests. Feel free to shoot us a message about wood and about special situations (decorations, etc.)
-Can we move our reservation because of weather? Unfortunately, no. The only time we will cancel is if the roads are too icy to access the property. We'll be in touch if any type of severe weather is forecasted. We will say, though, that rain storms during dome stays are ultra cozy.
-Wifi? Yes, sort of. We are at the mercy of satellite. We recommend planning to not have Wifi and, if it works for you- bonus!
-Other notes: The front portion of the property is Crescent Moon Venue. We may give tours of the venue during your stay but there are no sightlines from the venue to the dome. Your privacy is of utmost importance to us. There are also two other glamping tents on the property. No area is shared between the two glamping sites and the venue. Feel free to walk around the venue, if you'd like! We ask that you respect the privacy of other glampers.

Within the confines of the dome, a snug bedroom awaits, offering a secluded retreat complete with a plush king-sized bed adorned in luxurious linens. Expansive hexagonal windows view the lovely landscape, while a lively green wall infuses the space with a hint of nature.

In the inviting living area, guests can create cherished memories amid the dome's distinctive ambiance. Indulge in a whimsical moment on one of our picturesque swings, whether savoring a meal at the bar or simply enjoying the view.

The panoramic windows serve as a breathtaking backdrop, especially during sunset, enveloping the space in a tranquil aura. Additionally, the sofa transitions into a comfortable twin-sized bed, complete with provided linens, ensuring ample accommodation for an additional guest.

For convenience, modern amenities including air conditioning, a mini-fridge, microwave and water dispenser.
Our pour-over coffee and tea bar is perfect for enjoying slow mornings.
Basic plates, glasses and utensils are also provided for your convenience.

Just steps away from the dome lies a pristine bathhouse, offering comforts such as fresh linens and soaps.

Outside, amidst the serene surroundings, guests can enjoy the great outdoors with a gas grill, picnic table, outdoor daybed, and al fresco firepit seating.

The occasional visit from grazing cows further enhances the rustic charm of the experience, adding an enchanting touch to your stay.

You have access to all of the interior and exterior dome area.

We may be onsite during your stay but always respect your privacy.

I am a flight attendant and often fly on the weekends. I do have great help and people to check messages if I'm out of town, but if there is something urgent, please send us a text.

As stated in our FAQs, the front portion of the property is a wedding venue. We may have tours but will never come to the dome with tour guests during your stay. There are no sightlines between the venue and the domes. The domes are secluded.

There are also glamping tents onsite. They have their own restroom facilities but you may "cross paths" on the actual path. Please report any privacy issues ASAP and, of course, please respect their privacy (we know you will).

There is a bit of a hilly walk from parking to the dome. We have carts for you to use if you'd like, but we recommend outdoor shoes (especially if rainy or soggy from regent rain).

It is warm in the afternoons in the dome currently. Please plan to hang outside or have an adventure!

Guests have the entire dome to themselves- all indoor/outdoor living areas. They have a private bathroom a few steps away. There are no shared areas except parking.

We may or may not be onsite but always give privacy unless necessary.

Rural setting- facing West towards the sunset.

Paved roads to the property. Dirt roads within. Can get muddy when it rains, but I explain more in the check-in instructions.

There is a little bit of a walk from the parking area to the domes. We recommend bringing comfortable shoes that may get dirty. The bathroom is also a few steps away from the domes but the path is mulched and lit.
No additional guests outside of who is on the reservation.

No smoking in the dome (minimum $250 charge) and will charge in full for any damage smoking outside of the dome.
Please do not leave pets unaccompanied at any time.
Quiet hours begin at 10 P.M. We will give one warning and then ask you to leave if abused.
We will charge extra for extra cleaning of non-biodegradable party pickup (confetti, plastic/fabric rose petals, streamers, balloons, etc.). This will be charged at $75/hour per extra hour required.
