Our yurt is candle and lantern friendly. We supply plenty of both. There is no electricity. This is the best yurt for relaxing in the woods with no one around and enjoying the coziness. We have plenty of trails right from the yurt also. We have gas flat top grill outside and a 2 burner propane cooktop inside. You may also enjoy our beautiful relaxing firepit outback. plenty of trails to walk. There is a $20.00 firewood fee. We also supply paper plates, paper towels, plastic ware, real knives, 1 gallon of drinking water inside plus 5 gallon clean water jug .... You pretty much only need to bring your food and something to keep it in.

We would GREATLY appreciate it if EVERYONE would walk those few steps to use the outhouse instead of urinating out the door or anywhere else besides the outhouse. Wake up to the call of the nearby loons, have breakfast on the deck, then relax on the dock as you take in the spectacular views, directly west along Roberts Cove to Rattlesnake Island in the distance. The 2 bedroom, 1 bath, 100-year-old waterfront ranch cottage is situated in a no wake zone at the eastern end of Roberts Cove. This is a great location for swimming, kayaking, and paddle boarding, and allows easy access to explore the rest of the lake. The cottage sits on a level 0.3-acre lot, with a 3-slip dock and 190 feet of private waterfront, adjacent to a 35-foot public access sand beach. There are multiple sandy bottom swimming areas along the waterfront including next to the dock (entered by wooden steps from the dock), at the far edge of the property on the point (entered by rock steps) and at the beach. Try them all and choose your favorite! 1 dock slip is included in the rental so bring your boat, which you can launch from the family-owned marina at Roberts Cove Basin just 500 feet away. The other two are used by quiet, friendly family friends for access to the lake only. A favorite activity for many of our guests is watching the comings and goings from the marina.

This property has the feel of an old-time family summer camp and, as you hear the old wood screen door slam behind you and you walk the few steps to the dock to take in the view, it will seem as if you've stepped into an iconic New England summer vacation on the lake. However, despite the remote feel, this property is conveniently located between the bustling summer towns of Alton and Wolfeboro (filled with delicious restaurants and cute shops), with easy access by car or boat to both.

2 kayaks, a stand-up paddle board and lifejackets are included in the rental so you can spend your days on the lake and explore the cove. Additional stand-up paddle boards, kayaks, canoes, boats and jet skis can be rented in town for the day or the week. And if you're looking for the things to do off the lake, look no further then across the road where you can access a network of snowmobile trails that provide endless hiking and dog walking trails. Starting 50 feet from the front door you can get on the trails to Devil's Den and Merrymeeting Lake. If you prefer to explore on bikes, there are local bike paths and rail trails which wind through some of the most gorgeous parts of the state. And for more challenging hiking, the Belknap Mountains and White Mountains are just a short drive away.

Amenities include: Air conditioning, dehumidifier, small fans, smart TV with Roku connection, and high-speed wireless internet. Microwave, electric stove, refrigerator, kettle, toaster, electric drip coffee pot, and french press. Outdoor propane barbecue (propane is not included). Also included are 2 kayaks, 1 stand up paddle board, paddles, life jackets, books, yard games and telescope. One bedroom with queen bed, one bedroom with double bed, and couch with pull out memory foam queen bed in living room.

There is a welcome binder which includes useful information and rules for the cottage/property, history of the cottage and cove, and extensive area information including lists of local stores and restaurants, where to rent water sports equipment, information about hiking trails in the immediate area and further out, day trips, and extensive maps for local hiking and paddling.

The property is 3-season rustic cottage, not insulated, however heat is available from the wood stove and AC units.

Blankets and pillows provided. Sheets and towels are not provided- you must bring your own. There is no washer or dryer in the cottage, but there is a laundromat a few miles away in town.

Reservations for June and September are 3 day minimum with 4pm check in and 10am check out on any day.

Reservations for July and August are 7 days minimum. Check in is 4pm Saturday and check out is 10am the following Saturday.

2 bedroom cottage with a large family room on beautiful Halfmoon Lake (5 miles south of the Alton traffic circle, 10 minutes to Lake Winnepsauke and lots of Lakes Region activities.) It is a short walk on our private property from the cottage to the beautiful white sand beach. The crystal clear water is inviting, and the water depth increases very slowly, perfect for young children. In season there is usually a large raft in deeper water of swimming area for jumping and diving. Free use of kayaks, canoe, rowboat and paddle boat. Guests may bring their own boat. Great fishing. Main room has Smart TV for watching your streaming accounts. WiFi for entire cottage. Fully stocked modern kitchen includes a microwave, toaster oven, Keurig coffeemaker. The cottage has it's own outdoor picnic area with a propane grill, picnic table, Adirondack chairs and hammock. There is also a community picnic area, and a dock. The cottage sleeps 6, sorry no pets. - "Very clean and cute. The cabin was built in an era where people expected a bit of "roughing it" when they were out the lake. The septic is not set up for long, hot showers or half a dozen people flushing all day long. Also, you are expected to clean up after yourself. If you can live with that, the beach is lovely and the other residents are mostly very friendly. (I did have one person explain to me that I was at "her" table, which was for cabins not rented out, while literally every single other table on the beach was empty.) The kayaks are perfect for the kids to play on and the sand is suitable for building. The stove and oven are full-sized and there are plenty of dishes. You can make regular coffee or K cup. We definitely hope to go again in the spring."

Step back in time in this all-original lake-house from a bygone era. Many original features including pine paneling and Art Deco couch. Originally built in 1951 by Rev Charles C. Noble, who had been affiliated with nearby Camp Kehonka. We've always used the property for ourselves, so it comes fully furnished and filled with family memorabilia. We're now offering for rent on a limited basis. Most of the weeks on the calendar are still taken by the extended family, but we are renting late June & early September weeks--the 'shoulder' season--as well as a few summer weeks. The house is uninsulated, but does have a fireplace to provide heat.

At 2-3/4 acres, the property is about half-again larger than the average lakefront property on Lake Winnipesaukee. The sloping property is still in its original wooded state with large pines throughout, although some trees have been thinned in front of the cottage to aid the view. The property is on a private road, with a long winding driveway down to the house, so there is no road noise whatsoever. The parking area is part-way down the hill, away from the house.

The houses on Chestnut Cove are well-spaced, so there is relatively little boat traffic. The large dock area has with shade pergola, for ample seating, and can accommodate a 22’ boat. Included are open kayaks and a canoe, with paddles and some lifejackets. Both Parker and Gillan Marine in nearby Alton Bay have power boats for rent.

We’re located about 8 miles (15 min) from downtown Wolfeboro with its many fine restaurants and shops. Travel about 6 miles (12 minutes) the other direction and you’re in Alton Bay.

The property looks out across the large open expanse on the lake called 'The Broads' between the southern end of the lake and Rattlesnake Island, so the views and sunsets are gorgeous. Cooling breezes normally flow down the lake and right up our property.

While the size of the cottage is modest, the layout with bedrooms on either end of the house provides a fair amount of sleeping capacity. There are 5 bedrooms, 3 with double or queen beds, one with two twins, and a small room with one twin bed. The main house (with master bedroom and room with twin beds) is separated from the other bedrooms by a screened in porch, so two families could share with privacy. Three bedrooms face the lake. All the bedrooms are compact, as it’s assumed vacationers will spend their time in the living room/porch areas or down by the waterfront.

The kitchen is in a small alcove but does have a compact island facing the living room with high-stool seating for 4. This is an all-original period cottage with rustic pine cabinets: no granite countertops, no dishwasher. Just off the kitchen is a large screened porch area with rustic dining table that seats about 10, so it’s not a long walk to serve meals. There's a bathroom on either end of the house, one with a new shower, the other with only a toilet and sink.

The kids had a blast and so did we. It was definitely relaxing. The host, Karen, was very attentive and helpful from booking to check out. The cabin was very clean and well kept. We were within walking distance from breakfast, lunch, and ice cream and took advantage of being in the heart of Alton Bay. Our only complaint is that we wished we could stay here for longer! There were tons of ice cream places within walking distance. Our favorite ice cream place ended up being the Winiput, surprisingly! We went three days in a row and enjoyed golfing there each time as well!"

- "Communication was amazing, check in was a delightful, the house itself was perfect " - "Cute place but was still in process of renovations and projects which was disappointing as we felt that not all accommodations were ready to be utilized. Our cottage also had no blinds put up, so privacy was limited. The kitchen lightbulb was out, which we notified the property manager of and were advised it would get fixed next day but never did. The cottage also had carpenters ants originating from what appeared to be the bathroom as well as a wasps nest on the porch. Place has potential but still needs work and probably should have held off on accepting bookings until everything was completed - especially for the rate we paid per night. Cost should have been half the rate due to being a work in progress. "

The Loon Nest on Halfmoon Lake is waiting for you at this charming 3-bedroom water-front cottage with a dock and beach in a family friendly setting.

Halfmoon Lake is 283 acres, spring fed with large and small mouth bass, horned pout, and perch. We take pride in our two resident loons and occasional babies. Enjoy the lake's wildlife with our bald eagles soaring above as well as a muskrat that swims by a couple times a day.

The lake front at the cottage has a shallow entry to the lake, ideal for small children. The depth at end of dock is less than 4 feet. A sandy beach is right on the property.

Boats can be brought and tied on the left side of the dock. There are two boat launches on the lake.

Please note that a separate dock has a Float Plane that is shared with the property and is used by a couple of pilots occasionally. Please inquire if you would like to go for a Float Plane ride and share the expenses during your stay.

Alton Bay is 7 miles, Wolfeboro 16, Laconia 19 and Concord 24.

Our cottage comes with over 100' of private shoreline, private beach and private dock for waterfront fun. For swimmers, the bottom is remarkably sandy with even a beach area perfect for youngsters. For boaters, Roberts Cove even has a small marina for easy boat launches and gas-fillups. Our westerly-facing exposure means sun-drenched days as well as glorious sunsets. Located less than one mile off of Route 28, enjoy easy access to both Wolfeboro and Alton.

Accommodates up to eight with three bedrooms (two queens, one full, one twin) plus a twin on the sunporch. Guests must bring their own linens and towels. Cottage comes with stove, microwave, wifi, two full-sized refrigerators, gas grill, deck, picnic table and beach chairs. A kayak and paddleboard are also available for use.
