This house was built in 1890 as part of the Lake Shore Railroad.. The trains and the tracks are now gone but the unique character of this old building can still be seen in is original door, windows and roof line. One bedroom, One bathroom.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Station House! Susan was a wonderful host. She checked in periodically and let us know that she was available if we needed anything. I had mentioned that my partner and I were celebrating my birthday and there was even a birthday cake and a bottle of wine waiting for us when we got there. The house was charming and immaculate. It was clear that they spent lots of time and attention to making sure everything was sanitized and cleaned thoroughly which made traveling during these times worry free. The Gilford/Laconia area itself is super cute and there's lots to do. We went to the beach, ate yummy seafood and got to go to a drive-in movie. The fire-pit + s'mores fix-ins provided by Susan were an added bonus. Highly recommend!

Everywhere you look is a view of Lake Winnipesaukee.The main cottage is just under 1,000 square feet. There is a main bedroom with a queen bed and a half bathroom. The family room overlooks lake Winnipesaukee toward Mink Island. The kitchen has a stove, microwave, water cooler, and over looks the lake toward Timber Island. A deck wraps around the entire cottage and also connects the cottage to the water closet, and to the bunk house. The water closet is a building that has a sink, shower, toilet, and a washer and dryer. There is also an outside shower so you can get even closer to nature lol. The bunk house has two sets of twin beds, a daybed, and a TV. Outside the bunk house is its own deck with two chairs and a table. Great place to have a morning coffee. Sit on the balcony and enjoy the fresh air in the morning and play at the lake all day long. You can also come watch the leaves change in the fall and ski in the winter! Wind down your evening by watching the sunset, cooking in the kitchen with your friends and family or dining at Myrna's, the delicious Italian restaurant, downstairs. There is a supermarket right down the block to buy groceries and treats.

This condo can accommodate 4 people with the queen size in the bedroom and sofa bed in living room. If you'd like to have up to 8 people staying, the adjoining unit, #217, can also be rented and the doors will be unlocked so that you can have a 2 bedroom, 2 bath unit.

Large parking lot give you plenty of room to park your boat trailer or RV.

Enjoy the beaches, and tennis/pickle ball courts. Ellacoya Bar and Grill is a quick walk for some delicious food and drinks. Gunstock mountain is less than 10 minutes for great hiking and skiing. It is a 10-minute drive to Bank of NH Pavilion for outdoor summer concerts! There is internet access with smart tv, but no cable tv channels. Linens are not provided with this rental, but can be provided for additional fee. Make this your home base for all the adventures the Lake Region of NH has to offer. **We are sorry, but motorcycles are not allowed at Samoset. Guests have access to the day dock for drop off and pick up but can not use moorings or docks. Renters are not allowed to bring pets to any Samoset condos. Infraction of these rules will result in a fine, or you may be asked to leave the property.

- "this time of year is the start of a busy summer, especially since Bike Week was extended for it's 100th anniversary. Suprisingly, the entire week was very peaceful. The other visitors in the area were very friendly as well. The owners don't bother you on a daily basis. For the most part, they let you know they are there if you need anything, and they are easy to contact if necessary. I loved sitting on the newly built deck to have my morning coffee and do some work before the heat increased. Good thing for air conditioning. Nonetheless, the private beach was my favorite part. Sitting on the dock and watching the boats go by was my second favorite. I will definitely be contacting Bob and his wife again to stay. It was the long awaited relaxations since COVID hit, that I needed to get back into reality."
