- "It was good for a night. " - "We stayed at the Moultonborough Inn for a few days in early December, when we were in the area photographing a wedding. This motel was an affordable option for us, and only 15 minutes from where the wedding was taking place. I can't say enough about our stay. The lobby was warm and welcoming. It was decorated nicely for the holiday, and soft Christmas music was playing. The owner Donna was sitting behind the desk, and she too was warm and welcoming. We chatted a bit about the property, and after a quick check-in, she mentioned that there would be tea/coffee, oatmeal cups and homemade pumpkin bread available in the morning. Perfect! Our room was on the 2nd floor (there is no elevator), and was immaculately clean, modern looking and comfortable. Donna really put a lot of thought into the room not only with decor, but with providing simple instructions (for ceiling fan operation, TV operation, etc). There was a microwave, refrigerator, table for two, dishes, silverware, coffee maker, etc. Anything you could need or want, was there! The hot water was plentiful. Noise in the inn was minimal. We would HIGHLY recommend this motel, and look forward to visiting again someday soon!"

Imagine waking up and watching the sun rise over the Ossipee Mountains as you sip your morning coffee out on the dock while the rest of the group sleeps in. Once they emerge from their slumber you'll gather on the screen porch to plan your days adventures. Maybe getting out on the lake for some tubing, waterskiing, throwing a line to catch dinner or just jumping into the water and swimming out to the raft to work on your tan (water entry is by stone step down into the water from land or the ladder on the dock). The dock will accommodate one boat up to 22 feet in length.

The cottage boasts 2 bedrooms on the first floor along with the kitchen/living/dining area and two full baths (with shower stalls). A screen porch and large 3-season room with 3 futon beds rounds out the main level. Upstairs, the younger set will call dibs on which of the 4 twin beds is theirs and where there's sure to be loads of belly-laughs and late night ghost stories told as the adults warn them to quiet down at bed time.

As if this wasn't enough to entice you - you may bring your best friend (dog, that is) depending on the size and kind and with the owners prior approval and $175 pet fee. Please ask about bringing your dog at the time of booking.

The owners were so inviting and warm - we enjoyed getting to know them and the neighbors. The kitchen, dining area and living room are open concept. Kitchen appliances all full sized appliances and a dishwasher. Dining area sits six has its own space. Off the kitchen/dining area you’ll find the enclosed back porch which leads to the gated back deck both overlook Shannon Brook. In the morning you may find a parade of ducks gliding by in the brook or a blue hereon peeking out of the reeds along the brook. From the deck you’ll enjoy a small yard space with a second deck connected directly to the small dock on the brook.

The homeowner just had three new mini-split heat/ac units installed! Shannon Brook does have the convenience of kayaking, fishing, and boating right in from your backyard. During the winter months along with skiing and ice skating, you can snowmobiling directly out from Shannon Brook too! The trail from the brook is part of the New Hampshire trail system, leading to the Castle in the Cloud snowmobile trail, to Lake Winnipesaukee and beyond!

The Balmoral community offers a great maintained private beach on Winnipesaukee Lake. The beach has some shade trees and is for use by members and guests only. The private boat launch also available to guests is located next to this beach area. Up at the club house you’ll find tennis courts, pickle ball, basketball courts and spacious playground. You could be very happy not leaving Balmoral for your entire stay!! But if you do want to explore there are many close attractions are at your disposal including Castle in the Clouds (there is a restaurant up there too!), Loon Center, Angelic Farm (blueberry picking), Mini Golf, Ridgewood Country Club, Wolfeboro downtown area, Hiking Trails, Snowmobile trails, Gunstock ski area, Bank of New Hampshire Pavilion and so much more to discover.

- "2nd time, great place to stay" - "While the check-in process was less than ideal I have nothing but praise for this home and it’s location. Having the river access was so convenient and peaceful. While the beach is always a fun time it was nice to enjoy a private oasis on the dock on the river. Having kayaks available was a treat and the outdoor space was open and well maintained. The home had 3 air conditioning units that worked remarkably and kept us comfortable (if not chilled) when relaxing indoors and sleeping. The living space is open, cozy and clean. Hard to tell if neighbors on either side were owners or other renters but they were very friendly. Despite being there for 4th of July week we found the neighborhood was quiet and respectful without disturbances. We hope to return for 4th of July next year and make this an annual occurrence. My favorite memory was the memories we made using the kayaks and the daily visits from the Loons. We saw five deer right on the road adjacent to the property, hence the name Deer Haven Road. We loved it so much we booked a second stay in October for leaf peeping. This is a memory that my daughter and I will have in our hearts forever. Blessed and grateful!"

Begin each morning with coffee at sunrise on the elevated deck, and set the outdoor table for breakfast beneath the umbrella. After a day of paddleboarding or fishing for rainbow trout, use the gas grill on the side patio to prepare dinner and gather back upstairs on the deck for cocktails and card games.

Not very much noise Monday-Thursday - mostly jet skis 1/2 way across bay. Noise was not a problem for us, but if you're sensitive... Mornings (even week-end) were absolutely quiet, except for the sounds of nature.The management firm (At the Lake Vacation Rentals) was very responsive to some minor issues. They have additional documents you'll need to sign before getting there. If you're like me, ask for them via a query before sending VRBO any funds.Highly recommend this unit!"

Our recently updated 2 bedroom, 1 bath cottage on Lake Kanasatka in Moultonborough,NH is perfect for a peaceful getaway. We have 80ft of a sandy walk-in beach and a private dock for your boat or to just catch some fish. Take a tour of the lake in the kayaks or canoe available for use and keep your eyes peeled for the bald eagles and loons. There is an expansive outdoor deck with an outdoor couch and chairs, dining table and a gas grill that is ideal for dining and relaxing while watching all the activity on the lake. Take your morning coffee or afternoon cocktail down to the Adirondack chairs near the water and enjoy the stunning views of the lake and Red Hill. Enjoy cooking s’mores and stargazing while sitting next to a cozy fire in the large stone fire pit every night.

Inside the house are 2 bedrooms, 1 with a queen bed with a tv, and the other with a double bed, both have closets and dressers for your use. The kitchen is stocked with many utensils, dishes, cookware and all things needed for entertaining. The open concept kitchen and living room with all new floors is where you can enjoy beautiful views of the lake or watch your favorite show on the flat screen tv. The den is off the kitchen; it has a flat screen tv as well, and this room can be transformed into a private bedroom by closing the door to the kitchen for privacy and by using the sofa bed that opens up to a double bed. The bathroom has been updated with a new vanity and new shower surround. The house also has a bonus screened in porch that is located on the back of the garage facing the lake. It has a couch, tables and chairs along with some fun lighting for ambience. This is a great spot to play cards or games at night, or to just relax and read a good book. The house comes equipped with a mini split to help cool down during those very humid summer days; the living room has a ceiling fan, and there are also window fans for all rooms and a standing fan available.

The house is conveniently located near the the boat launch on the lake. We are minutes from Rte 25, which is perfect for exploring downtown Meredith or Center Harbor, and both have boat launches to Lake Winnipesaukee if you would like to take your boat or kayak over there for the day. There are also many hiking trails in the area, some of which can be found at nearby Castle in the Clouds. Weirs beach is only 20 minutes away. There are many restaurants in Center Harbor and the surrounding areas and a visit to Moulton Farm, which is 5 min down the road, is a must for sweet treats or fresh fruits & vegetables. There is a small grocery store in Center Harbor, Dunkin Donuts and a laundromat are right down the street on Rte 25. We hope you enjoy what our place has to offer! Other things to note about the property - The water is drawn from lake to the house. A 5 gallon drinking water dispenser is provided. Sheets are NOT provided, but we DO provide pillows and comforters.

This home is recently renovated for comfort and convenience. On the main level an open concept living room and dining area has been finished with hardwood flooring and recessed lighting. Both bedrooms are upstairs. The first bedroom has king bed, the second bedroom has a queen bed and a bunk bed (twin over twin). Pet friendly cabin located on Lake Winnipesaukee's Long Island. Exclusive use of 100’ of lake frontage with an additional 400’ of shared lake frontage, offers to you, all the nostalgia you have been searching for. This cabin has been well maintained, and much loved and cared for, for many years!

The location abuts a tree farm and is situated naturally within a cove, for you to appreciate the sweeping views of the lake and mountains. While you are with us, take solace in the soothing sounds of the calming lake waters, and possibly even be lucky enough to hear the songs of a loon or two.

The fresh air, sandy beach and ease of access into the lake, makes this the perfect choice for a restful, relaxing, retreat. There is dock with space for up to, 2 boats, 25' in length. And... Don't forget your picnic basket, a good book, some old-fashioned board games and a deck of cards to recreate childhood memories of yesteryear.

It is important to note that the sleeping situation is unique. In the main cabin, there are two twin beds off to one side of the living room, in which opens up to a lovely, screened porch, just 30’ from the lake. There is a private bathroom with a stand-up shower. The Kitchen includes a gas stove with its own heating unit, microwave and refrigerator. There is also a regular coffee maker, as well as a Keurig. Guests must bring bottled water for drinking. Just steps from your back door there is a small bunkhouse which provides additional sleeping accommodations with two more twin beds.
