Our home is a very lovely, one bedroom lakefront cottage (it is a duplex) with an all knotty pine interior, fireplace, very large master bedroom, well stocked kitchen, large living room/dining room, and new bath.Charming, cozy and immaculate in a great lakeside neighborhood with neighborhood park and YMCA. Cozy in the winter and FABULOUS in the summer.

We have a lovely, very comfortable one bedroom, one bath unit that sleeps two, on a queen size bed. Our home is newly remodeled with a fantastic yard right on Lake Erie. The home is on a hill overlooking the lake with a million dollar view. There is no beach. There are several nice beaches close by. The unit is completely furnished and in a very convenient location. You can enjoy sitting in the large yard, relaxing, playing games, barbecuing and viewing the sunsets in the evening.

Vermilion is a quaint little town situated right on Lake Erie with its own beach and boardwalk. We are located two miles from the Public Boat Ramp in Vermilion. The downtown area has several restaurants and ice cream parlors and a very popular French restaurant. The Great Lakes Maritime Museum is also located on the north end of town. There is usually something going on downtown during the summer months; such as Music in the Park, antique car shows, in June we have a Festival of the Fish and of course we cannot forget the internationally famous Woolly Bear Festival in the fall. Who would think a little orange and black worm could have its own festival.

We are 45 minutes from downtown Cleveland and 25 minutes from Cedar Point. Kalahari Water Park and Great Wolf Lodge are just as easily accessible. Catch a Ferry to the Lake Erie Islands, Put-in-Bay and Kelly's Island.

We also do not have a boat launch, you would have to launch your boat at the public marina (about 5 minutes away) We have a concrete driveway on the east side of the house which would hold a vehicle and empty boat trailer) But the waterfront deck is only feet from the Vermilion River and you feel as if you are right on the water when relaxing on the deck.The unit has a private entrance, living and dining room, full kitchen, 2 bedrooms with queen size beds and 1 and a 1/2 baths. We are also a pet friendly. Our Riverbend Retreat offers you an oasis with the feeling of being in a world all your own. Please note: we only rent out the property for a (4 nights minimum) during May thru September and weekends (2 night minimum) in the Fall and Winter months. Winter is fun sitting on the deck watching the snow mobiles zoom by on the frozen river or try out ice fishing thru the local marinas.

* We have two large dogs, free range chickens, and ducks. We prefer no pets but will take certain circumstances in to consideration.

* There is a gate under the patio to keep our animals out of your patio and backyard space.

* We are an active husbandry and apiary farm. You may be visited by friendly chickens and ducks. The beehive is far away from the tiny guest house.

* There is also some wildlife who have been seen roaming around the farmlands and deer who like to run across our property.

My wife and I live about 30 minutes away and will not bother you during your stay. If you need anything - we are available to help as needed, of course.

Our cottage is located in a quiet neighborhood but close to area highways that will make it easy to get around. You can easily take day trips to Sandusky or Port Clinton and hop on a ferry to visit the islands of Lake Erie or head east to Cleveland for a day in the city visiting the Rock'n' Roll Hall of Fame or taking in a Cleveland sporting event. We are also only about 30 minutes to Cedar Point, Kalahari and Sports Force Park.

We are less than 2 miles to downtown Vermilion full of shopping, dining and a beach. We are also less than a mile to a beach at the end of Minnie Wawa St which is open to the public. Just beside it is Linwood Park which has a large, private sandy beach which you can access for a fee (contact Linwood Park directly to inquire about day passes).

Route 6 is just a few houses away from our cottage and will serve as an easy route to get anywhere you'd like to go.

Driveway is partially shared with the neighbor but provides ample space for your vehicle. There is 38 feet from the very end of the driveway to the street - plenty of room for a smaller boat trailer.

- "Chuck's apartment was spectacular and in the perfect location for our vacation. We were roughly 35 minutes drive from Cedar Point and about 45 minutes from Cleveland. It was extremely clean, well decorated, and as described if not better! The neighborhood was extremely quiet and very peaceful. Check in and check out was seamless and easy! This certainly felt like a HomeAway from home as we were able to do things like go for a run in the neighborhood as well as grill a nice dinner on Saturday.
