Anglesea River Beach House easily sleeps 11 with 4 bedrooms (queen/en-suite, queen, queen, 5 singles). Downstairs there's a spacious open plan lounge/dining/kitchen downstairs, with leather couches, large dining table, enclosed wood fire, and a well equipped, roomy kitchen.

There's a separate lounge room upstairs, with a second TV and views across the river. All living spaces have reverse-cycle cooling and heating.

Downstairs there's a queen sized bed in the main bedroom, which also has its own ensuite and flat screen TV. Upstairs there's: a queen sized bedroom; a queen bed as part of a large lounge room; and a single bed and two bunks in a large bedroom. There are no sofa beds.

Lounge Rooms:

There are two lounge rooms, the main lounge room is downstairs, and a second lounge room upstairs. Both lounge rooms have flat screen TV's, DVD/BluRay players and reverse cycle heating/cooling. Downstairs there's leather couches for 10+ people, an enclosed log fire, internet tv (Netflix, Kayo, etc) and an audio system. Upstairs is a separate room with comfy couches for 6+ people and a sunny view.

Kitchen and Dining:

The kitchen is modern, roomy and fully equipped. It has a full set of cutlery, crockery and utensils, along with induction cooktop, oven, dishwasher, fridge and microwave. In the dining room there is a large timber dining table with dining chairs for 11 people.

We have recently refurbished and created a sunny happy holiday home .With a fully equipt kitchen, and stunning bathroom. The house has two bedrooms, one with queen bed and the other with 2 singles. Doonas and pillows are provided. Our beds are new and comfortable.

Large glass doors lead from the living/dining to the front deck which has a bbq and dining setting and is north facing to catch the sun. This overlooks our newly landscaped garden.

For your comfort there is a split cycle a/c heater cooler and a pot belly fireplace for those nights where you just want to snuggle up and stay home.

A nice simple beach shack in an ideal Anglesea location - 10 min stroll to the beach, 5 minutes to the shops. In lovely surrounds lots of trees, birdlife and serenity.

The house has two separate zones:

Upstairs: 2 bedrooms with queen size beds and a 3rd bedroom with a bunk (double at bottom single up top)+ kitchen, dining, living room.

Downstairs (accessible by outside stairs) - one bedroom with 2 sets of bunks and a trundle, a living room and a bathroom.

Property has an enclosed outdoor shower with hot water, perfect when coming home from a day at the beach.

House has full amenities including washer, dryer, dishwashing machine, bbq, WIFI etc. Please note that you need to provide your own sheets, pillow cases and towels.

Table tennis table, trampoline, beach trolley, fire pit and some old bikes all available for use.

Slow combustion heater keeps the living room cozy, otherwise reverse cycle system is there for easy warmth.

Chairs are kept in the laundry. As the sun shines in here it can be a lovely place to sit on a fine day.
Walks
The Anglesea beach, or the beach at Pt Roadknight, (a good beach for children) can be reached after an enjoyable downhill walk (not so good coming back!). The Angahook State Forest is accessible via a short walk up Harvey St. A few shops can be reached by foot, but the major shopping centre is a short drive back towards Geelong.
Some destinations worth visiting

• Point Addis: (5-10 minutes) has a magnificent view of the ocean. Turn off is located between T Torquay and Anglesea.

• Split point lighthouse Aireys Inlet: This is around a 10 minute drive beyond Anglesea on the Great Ocean Rd. Tours of the lighthouse can be arranged. There are also some good walks around the beach areas there.

• Lorne: 25-30 minutes along Great ocean Rd. A great place to visit and enjoy on a fine day—beautiful beach.

• Torquay: 15 minutes from Anglesea.

• Geelong: It is 25 minutes to the Southern end of Geelong, about 35 minutes to the City centre. It is well worth visiting Eastern Beach and the Botanical Gardens. For shoppers there is Westfield (Geelong City), Waurn Ponds and strip shops/KMart in Belmont.

• Bellarine Peninsula: Some places well worth visiting here such as Barwon Heads and Queenscliff.

The house is located in an elevated position facing a bush reserve with a mixture of forest and cleared area. It is located approximately 10 minutes walk into the town centre, 5 minutes walk to the golf course and 15 minutes walk to the beach.

- "Great location walking distance from everything, friendly staff" - "The unit was light and in the perfect location within walking distance to the beach, shops, cafe and restaurants. There are only hanging racks in the bedroom for clothes with only 3 hangers, no wardrobe and only 2 small drawers. The large gym was great, pool under renovation so not open the whole 2 weeks I was there. There was a horrible smell of old mould that wafted in and out. I had to go and buy some incense burning sticks to mask the smell. The very small fridge would freeze everything if I tried to make ice blocks. I would stay in this resort again for the location but maybe not in that particular unit because of the smell."

The combined kitchen/dining open out onto the north facing deck that has a wonderfully scenic outlook over the wetlands, and is truly the most relaxing spot for a barbeque or a glass of wine as you listen to the evening birdsong and wonder as the local kangaroos come down in the evening to graze. The property has 2 bedrooms, with the second of the two boasting a set of bunks and two single beds. The bedroom also has their own television, perfect for keeping the kids occupied in the evenings. There is a family bathroom which is bright and airy and overlooks the back yard. The bathroom has internal access, but can also be accessed via an external door, perfect to move those sandy little feet into the shower without walking through the entire house to do so. Ingram Street is set in the River precinct of Anglesea and is a quiet part of the township. There are many beautiful walking tracks through the park that will lead you into town as well as lots of lovely spots to picnic or barbeque at one of the free barbeques in the park. If you like to kayak or stand up paddle board, there's plenty of river for you to explore.

- "The indoor pool was great. Apartment was nice and clean however in need of some maintenance with a hole in the bathroom ceiling. Terrible communication with booking as it’s an offshore call centre and had multiple issues as unable to receive calls back when promised and got stuffed around with key collection from them. Luckily office in Anglesea was still open even though we arrived just after 5pm and staff were lovely, but would be better to have a direct number to their office. Beds were so hard and uncomfortable, considering price paid to stay I expected more luxurious. Our daughter tripped/stubbed toes a few times on bedroom to lounge room lip near carpet (which was very dangerous). Bedroom needs a fan installed as no aircon in there and was so hot, curtains don’t block out much either so was very bright in the morning or to get daughter down for nap. Great location and resort is lovely, just needs a bit of maintenance done to apartment and more comfortable beds. Walking distance to everything so very convenient."
