The general store is very over priced as is the cafe and pub, but they can be as they’re the only things here. We brought all our food to cook except two meals to try the cafe/pub, next time we would just cook every meal ourselves. All in all, I would highly recommend staying in a new cabin if they’re available and you are willing to pay the little extra. Or if you’re happy to go a bit old school then the deluxe family cabin has what you need just a bit mustier (our friends were in one). To add the kitchen supplies is a bit limited, so don’t plan on doing huge cook ups unless you’re with other people and can share your kitchen supplies. **Definitely bring your own water, you can not drink the tap water and the water in the general store for purchase is over priced**"

We supply tea/coffee, sugar, oil, vinegar, foil/glad wrap and basic dishwashing items (sponges, dishwashing liquid, dishwasher tables) but not tea towels.

Wye Dream is a classic older style beach house (it used to be the Surf Life Saving Club Bunkhouse), we love it & so will you, with open plan living area/kitchen, a wood fire and two decks both with views of the waves.

Wye River is a picturesque coastal hamlet surrounded by the Great Otway National Park on the Great Ocean Road.

Jacks Place sits on a ridge with views looking east over the gorgeous Wye Beach to the ocean beyond and west up the valley to the forest. Its position means it is sunny all day and it has been designed to be comfortable all year round. In three minutes walk you will be at the beach, the Wye Pub or the Wye General Store and Cafe with its artisan bread and local produce.

The house was built in 2002, and incorporates recycled feature doors and floors into a stylish interior to create a relaxed and warm atmosphere. The home is centred around the open-plan living room with floor-to-ceiling double-glazed windows and sliding doors on both sides to capture the amazing all-day views. At night there are blinds to create a pleasant evening space. A funky well-appointed kitchen looks over a flat backyard so the cook can keep an eye on the kids.

There's a cosy wood stove plus a portable heaters for winter warmth. Decks front and back mean you can watch the sun rise over the sea with your morning coffee and the sun going down over the forest as you light up the BBQ. You'll find occasional visits from koalas, normally spotted in the big gum trees behind. The garden attracts honeyeaters, Rufus bristle birds, flycatchers, kookaburras, bowerbirds, herons, king parrots, and superb blue wrens. In the cooler months when the rain clouds chase the rainbows over the horizon, you can laze in front of a fire or bird watch from your armchair!

There are three bedrooms, to suit two small families or one bigger family. The third bedroom or bunk room is rather compact and beds not really suitable for adults over 62. Jacks Place has been designed for accessibility and has a gently sloping entrance ramp, an open bathroom, and handrails for family members who need a bit of help for stability.

The Bunkhouse offers the perfect accommodation for groups of up to 32 people. It consists of 2 main bedrooms, male and female, which each contain 7 bunk beds. Off these rooms there are bathrooms with 2 private showers and two toilets. There is another bedroom with 2 bunk beds which usually accommodates teachers or parents.

Pillows, linen and blankets are NOT provided and must be supplied by guests.

There is a well equipped kitchen which is adjacent to the large common room. This main room has 4 sofas and two large tables with chairs making it suitable for group meetings and activities.

There are two reverse cycle split systems and a wood heater(wood not supplied) There is a wall mounted flat screen television in the living area.

This property is owned and operated by the Wye River Surf Lifesaving Club and is booked out by the club over the summer period.

The Wye River store/restaurant and the Ocean Beach Hotel are within a 3 minute walk from the bunkhouse. Both serve meals.

Wye beach is also just a short walk away across the Great Ocean Road. Wye River is a renowned spot for great surfing and fishing.

The township is within the Otway ranges which means that there is plenty of birdlife and wildlife to be observed and enjoyed. There are many bush tracks suitable for bushwalking and trail riding groups.

The Bunkhouse is used by numerous schools for recreational camps for students. The Surf Lifesaving Club also hires out their clubrooms for functions if required.

- "Gorgeous house with amazing views. The kitchen is fantastic and has an amazing tardis pantry that is well stocked with bits and pieces that you might need. It was so peaceful looking out over the treetops and can see all the way down to the beach - just lovely. We took our dog and whilst it is listed as pet friendly, I would say that for small dogs the balcony is not the best - there are some gaps in the railing - at the ends and bottom. It would be fine for medium size dogs. Also worth being aware that you receive additional rules related to dogs upon arrival that say they are not allowed in the bedrooms and you are asked to bring a blanket to put on the couch (but there are blankets provided too). This may not suit everyone. I would definitely book again to stay with friends."

Drive to the door (a luxury in the hills of Wye) and unload into the recently renovated single level house. When one of the owners is an architect there is no flat pack kitchen here! The brand new kitchen has all new appliances, loads of bench space, cupboards and draws full of utensils and a funky breakfast bar. There is a big dining table with views out to the trees through large glazed sliders which also give access to the deck and BBQ area. Cosy up on the couch by the wood heater or flick the switch on the wall heater and if you can’t handle the heat in the kitchen there’s always the air-con. Off the living area is a laundry/storage/bathroom area with another door to outside for easy post beach access. A short hallway leads to the two bedrooms both with ample wardrobe space if you're thinking of a longer stay. Separate heating units will keep you warm on cool winter nights and large sliding windows will let in the summer breeze while you sleep. The main bedroom with en-suite has a queen size bed and the second bedroom a king size or two king singles. (You will need to specify your bedding preference for the second bedroom)
There are hills in Wye River so be prepared for some hilly walks. If you have a truck load of beach gear then there is plenty of parking by the beach.
Wye River is a little more than a two hour drive from Melbourne and we recommend you have your own transport to explore more of the beautiful Otway Ranges and the Great Ocean Road. There is private off street parking on site for up to 2 vehicles. A rail service to Geelong and bus service from Geelong link Melbourne to Wye River.

The third bedroom has two single beds looking into the North facing garden. Every bedroom comes with a wall-mounted panel heater, block out blinds and all new beds and furniture. This house can sleep up to six guests in the three bedrooms. There is one bathroom with shower and vanity as well as a separate toilet. The laundry room has a washing machine and external access.

The kitchen has electric cooking with a Miele cooktop and oven, Nespresso coffee machine, microwave (no dishwasher), and access to the North orientated paved sitting area, lit with festoon lights. Outside spaces include an ocean side (South West facing) large balcony with day bed, and North facing sheltered paved courtyard with BBQ.

Taking in the line of sky, ocean, waves, and the rockpools below. Paddy's Path runs along between the boundary of the property and the Great Ocean Road, and is a scenic walking path linking Wye River and Separation Creek. At low tide, there is access to walk on the beach between the two hamlets, and the rockpools make a great place to swim too.

Minimalist in design and furnishing, the entry level contains the kitchen, dining and living area, along with ocean front balcony. There is also a North oriented deck with outdoor couches and BBQ, with views through the house, while sheltered from the South West winds.
