Definitely do it again." - "My spouse and I were looking for a small place to stay for five nights that was close to the water at Lake Keuka. We wanted to relax and explore the Finger Lakes region. This was the perfect size and place for us. We will stay there again in the future. It was clean, the kitchen had everything we needed, the queen sized bed was comfortable, and the lake is literally steps away from the glass slider door. The views are spectacular. The shower stall is on the smaller side but we did not have any problem with it. There is a covered deck area with two comfortable chairs, a small table and the most amazing view of the lake. We spent a lot of time here in the mornings and evenings eating our meals and reading. It was so quiet and peaceful. A step or two down from that is another uncovered deck with lawn chairs and two kayaks for guest’s use. The hosts were great, very informative, but not intrusive at all. Delia sent a message prior to our arrival asking us what kind of wine we liked and honored our reply that we were not drinking alcohol at this time. We did trail hiking in state parks and rented bikes to ride on the Keuka Outlet Trail that connects Keuka and Seneca lakes and then rode around on some the country roads in Dresden. Also went to Watkins Glen, Corning Museum, Curtis Museum, and spent an afternoon in Ithaca. Had a lot of fun! There are lots of things to do within a reasonable driving distance. Would not hesitate to recommend this place."

- "The house, location, supplies, and direct water access… 10/10. The house is a great place for sure! The stairs from the road to the property and the narrow spiral staircase in the house, are definitely something to take into account, for anyone renting this house. This is the place to stay for families ready to enjoy the lake or couples looking to get away for a wine tour weekend. Start with a coffee on the dock as you watch the sunrise light up the bluff, and finish the day with a cozy fire on the patio. - "We spent just under two weeks at this property at the beginning of August and had the most wonderful time. The property is exactly as pictured and absolutely adorable. There were lots of extra goodies in the outside shed that made the experience even better for our kiddos (12, 9 and 6). The dock is great to jump off and swim. Our kids absolutely loved the water trampoline and lily pad and kayaks. So much to keep you busy all day. We enjoyed a fire pretty much every night and loved lounging on the outdoor couch for drinks in the afternoon. We also rented a boat while we were there which made the trip that much better. We took the boat to lunch several times and to meet friends that have a house on the lake. There are several great wineries and breweries within a short driving distance of the property that we also were able to check out and enjoy. We even went to a concert at Point of the Bluff while we were there. What a great venue with an amazing view. The property owners were easy to work with, and we couldn’t have asked for a better vacation!"

Welcome to Shale Beach, a brand new home (2020) that has all the features you want. One step from the large parking area to the home and only a few steps from the large front porch to a wide flat natural shale beach.

The home features 9' ceilings, cathedral ceilings, gas fireplace, and a Weber outdoor gas grill on a spacious covered front porch. At night, warm up on your private beach with a blazing fire in the fire pit or simply relax on the porch in front of the outdoor wall heaters!

Oversize windows provide plenty of natural light and amazing lake views. The gourmet kitchen is well stocked and features oven, range with hood, dishwasher, microwave, coffee makers, two full size refrigerator/freezers plus a wine refrigerator. High-speed internet with a mesh extender system.

Four large bedrooms, including two master suites, plus a second-floor rec room with additional beds, provides plenty of elbow space for everyone to enjoy. Sleeps up to 20 guests, including three king beds and one queen bed, each with a high quality mattress.

A dock is provided during peak season (Memorial Day to Labor Day) for guests to use for fishing, boating or lounging. We currently have two kids kayaks, an adult tandem kayak, an adult stand-up paddle board, a canoe and a pedal boat. (Dock and boats may not be available during off-peak months.)

Dock was not substantial enough or far enough out to support having our pontoon there all week but we contracted for a slip at the local marina and were able to drop off and pick up passengers at the house and tie off for a bit during the day. "Wine Down" boasts 6 bedrooms, 2 full baths and 1 half bath, Chef's kitchen, Dining room, Living room, Family (game) room, 1 acre pond, fire pit area and a Beautiful outdoor double deck with hot tub and Breathtaking views of Keuka Lake.

The Space

This house has a beautiful double deck with access from both levels. There is plenty of seating on top, with 2 table and chair sets, 3 loungers and 2 chairs surrounding a firepit. The bottom level has a comfortable dining set, in addition to 2 rockers and a grill for those delicious outdoor dinners. Then, there is the hot tub to sit in and relax with a nice glass of wine from one of the many local wineries surrounding the area.

The main entrance is under a covered porch right off the parking area. There is plenty of parking offered out front of house and also on the side of the house. Once entering the house, you will be greeted by a nice Seating area with wood burning fireplace connecting you to the large Living room overlooking the Lake. In addition to lake views and back porch access, the Living room offers plenty of seating and large television for your entertainment needs.

Just off the Living room to your left, you will find a huge Family Game room, fully equipped with pool table, games, seating, television and full bath. Naturally lighted with the many windows surrounding the room, including lake views.
Walk back into the Living room and straight into the Dining room with large expandable dining table and plenty of extra seating. The large Dining room is attached to the beautifully open Chef's kitchen, fully equipped and boasting stainless steel appliances (stove, microwave, dishwasher and refrigerator). The large farm house sink is placed in direct view of the lake. Enjoy those stunning views while making dinner or having a glass of wine at the island. The kitchen has plenty of storage and access to the back deck for even more entertaining possibilities. Adjoining the kitchen is a Mud room and half bath.

The second floor stairs are located right next to the main entry and go up into a hallway. To your left, you will find very spacious bedrooms 3, 4, 5, 6 and a full bath, to your right you will find spacious bedrooms 1 and 2, as well as a laundry room.

Bedroom 1 is to your right, offering a spacious layout, with a Queen size bed, two dressers, night stand, closet and tv. Also has a double door access to the top deck to enjoy those amazing lake views, even from the bed.

Bedroom 2 is also to your right, a large room hosting a Queen size bed, dresser, armoire, night stand, closet and tv.

Laundry room to your right, hosting a wash machine, dryer, ironing board, iron and room to hand clothes as they come out of the dryer.

Bedroom 3 is to your left, hosting a Twin size bed and a Full size bed, along with a dresser and closet. Also having views of the lake.

We do allow for one pet dog at this home, one well mannered, house trained dog under 75lbs. There is an additional pet fee of $75 that will need to be added to your stay. We are not able to allow for other pets such as cats, birds, etc.
Wine Down is located right along a main county road and is easily accessible with only 5 minutes to Hammondsport and 15 minutes to Watkins Glen. This house sits on 35 partially wooded acres, including a 1 acre pond with fishing and kayaking access. This property offers so many ways to sit back and relax, with its double deck, views of the lake, hot tub, fire pit, fishing and hiking trails. With such a gorgeous view and close proximity to the lake and town, you`re going to love staying at Wine Down!

- "Our stay was great and it was so easy to walk to downtown and enjoy the shops and restaurants. We were so happy with the house and location. Definitely recommend staying here and visiting Hammondsport." - "My husband and I enjoyed our stay here. I truly feels like someone's home. I loved the small, efficient kitchen and it's well stocked with equipment. There were plenty of hooks and closets to put your things away, and lots of fans. The air conditioners hadn't been placed in the windows yet, but even with humidity and a few warmer days we were comfortable with the abundance of fans. There's also a great record collection. The problems we had aren't deal breakers for us. There are foam mattress toppers and microfiber sheets on the beds that made us sleep hotter than usual. I'm usually cold at night, but was uncomfortably hot. I'll plan on bringing cotton sheets when we stay here again. The black bed frame has some wood supports under the mattress that are too narrow and fell out twice when my husband sat on the side of the bed. As others have mentioned, there is a strong odor in the single bed room. We didn't use that room and kept the windows open upstairs so it didn't affect us. I love a clean, cozy, and efficient home and this place fits the bill. We will definitely stay here again!"

This owner-built lake house is a treasure in itself with fine woodworking showcased throughout every room of the home, each of them with unobstructed lake views.

✧ THE BUILDING: Three bedrooms — each with beautiful views of the lake — accommodate up to six people comfortably. The main level has a full bath with walk-in shower and washer/dryer, a well-equipped kitchen and dining area, a cozy sitting room with TV, and a bedroom with a queen bed and spacious closet. In colder months, the cozy wood burning stove can be used with owner's approval. Step outside to enjoy the lake view from the wrap-around deck, complete with an Adirondack Glider loveseat and gas grill. Beginning in summer of 2025, the deck will be extended to include an outdoor kitchen with a built-in gas grill and a full dining set— all overlooking the lake! The big primary bedroom has a king bed, TV, double door closet, and twin daybed. There is a dedicated home office space adjacent to another full bath, as well as a third bedroom upstairs with queen bed and ample closet space. Also upstairs is a walk out balcony for your sunset-viewing enjoyment. With central air conditioning, our cottage is comfortable year round.

✧ THE PROPERTY: There is room for up to four cars to park in the gravel spaces across from the house, just steps from the 2nd-level main entrance, so unloading luggage and groceries is a breeze. Stairs from the main-level deck take you down to the lakeshore where you will find a fire pit with Adirondack chair seating and owner-maintained raised flower garden. Feel free to bring your own boat or rent one from one of the various nearby boat rental shops, and you can leave it safely tied to our dock when you're not pleasure cruising Keuka Lake. You will also have access to our THREE kayaks, paddle board, row boat, and life jackets stored in the ground-level basement.

Keuka Cottage can be enjoyed in all four seasons.

☀ Stay with us in warmer months for swimming, sunbathing, water sports and boating. Visit in the fall for stunning fall foliage and harvest events at the local wineries.

❄ In winter and early spring, the cottage is your warm and cozy cabin retreat with views of snow covered hills across the icy lake. There's cross-country ski trails nearby, and you're just a ~50 minute drive from Bristol Mountain ski resort. Most of the wineries, breweries, and distilleries stay open year round.

During the popular summer months of July and August we have a 7-night minimum stay, check in and out only on Saturdays. Select an available Saturday in the calendar menu and you will see the following week is available. The rest of the year we have a four night minimum stay, and you can check in any day of the week.

Other things to note:

• At present, there is not a dishwasher in the kitchen, so guests must hand wash their dishes.

• Guests that plan on swimming in the lake should bring their own water shoes as the lake bed has many zebra mussels that can cut your feet.

• In 2021 we installed a state of the art, whole house water filtration and UV sterilization system, and we regularly have our tap water (which is pumped in from the lake) tested for potability— it remains pathogen free, so we drink it.

• Four beds in three bedrooms sleep up to six people comfortably. There is also a small twin daybed in the primary bedroom, and a sofa in the TV room.

• The north side of our boat dock has two mooring pilings so renters can securely dock their owned or rented motor boats with a 4-point tie off system.

Lake views from every room of the house! The Mooring on Keuka Lake is a great space for family and friends alike. Located just under 1/2 mile from the village square in Hammondsport- within walking distance to many dining options, variety of local shops, live music in the square (seasonally) and family friendly parks & close to public beaches. Many wineries, breweries & distilleries near by!

Our cottage offers a fully stocked kitchen and an indoor dining area with seating for 6. The attached deck equipped with a grill & plenty of outdoor seating! This allows for more time to enjoy the beautiful views of Keuka Lake while spending quality time together with family and friends.
The first floor bedroom includes a queen sized bed and is directly across the hall from the full bathroom.
The second floor has an open floor plan with a full size bed and 2-twin beds. *Please note- the ceiling in the 2nd floor space is A-frame style. While it is very tall in the middle, each side is angled and may not be favorable for adults/taller guests.*

Soak in the history and charm of Hammondsport and Keuka Lake in this beautiful 6 bedroom, 5 bath home listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The Champlin House is the perfect base to explore the Finger Lakes and wine trail. This house is located at the edge of the town square and two blocks from Keuka Lake. Everything you need is within walking distance. Bring extended family and friends with you, we have plenty of room!

This refurbished home offers an abundant, well-appointed kitchen with a huge center island. Just off the butler’s pantry, there is a 1/2 bathroom as you walk towards the formal dining room. The two- first floor living rooms are separated by a grand staircase and French doors. Play a tune on the piano as you make your way out to the gorgeous oversized round porch with views of Keuka Lake.

The first-floor bedroom features a queen-sized bed, desk, tv, ensuite bathroom with tub, and walk-in closet. This area also has a hall that can be closed off for more privacy.

The second level boasts 4 large bedrooms, 3 baths and a laundry room. The master suite features a king-sized bed, beautiful windows, walk-in closet, jetted tub and shower.

Wander up to the 3rd floor and find a space that the "littles" in your family will love. This large area offers 4 twin beds and plenty of space to play, stretch and enjoy the view of 'Crooked Lake.'

Champlin House is in the heart of it all. Walk to the beach at Depot Park, rent kayaks, jet skis or a boat, or even charter a boat. Enjoy all the restaurants, bars, shops, pharmacy and large grocery just a few steps away in the village square. The impressive library is next door.

You’re a short drive from numerous wineries, distilleries, breweries, hiking trails, waterfalls, as well as The Glenn Curtiss Aviation Museum and The Finger Lakes Boating Museum. Watkins Glen State Park is about 35 mins away, as well as the Corning Museum of Glass. For our winter wonderland seekers, Bristol Mountain Ski Resort is 40 minutes away.

This home has been beautifully restored and meticulously maintained. We are excited to share this piece of history with our guests. We expect our guests to treat this home with the care and respect its history deserves.If you have particularly rowdy or destructive children (or adults!) in your group, this is NOT the house for you.There are beautiful original details to be mindful of - stained glass, pocket doors, glass cabinets, french doors, woodwork, etc.The house was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2024.

For the History Buffs:

The Champlin House was once owned by Charles Davenport Champlin. In 1860, Mr. Champlin started Pleasant Valley Wine Company, the very first winery in the Finger Lakes region! It still stands today, two miles south of the Village of Hammondsport. The winery is best known for Great Western Champagne.
