This house is a located at the Southern end of Point Pleasant Beach just one block north of Bay Head. With the Beach & Atlantic Ocean only 200 feet away, only one house and a sand dune stand between you and the white sandy New Jersey beaches. Nearby, take a leisurely stroll along Jenkinson's Boardwalk or along East Avenue in Bay Head. There are also opportunities to enjoy great shopping and specialty food shops, leisure activities, terrific restaurants, theme parks (Six Flags- Great Adventure), or just put your feet up and hang out. The house is located between Delaware and Maryland Avenue in Point Pleasant Beach. The site map says Harvard, but it is actually Maryland Avenue where beach tag access is during the summer season at the lifeguarded beach. When you are en route to your excursions, there is easy access to major highways such as the Garden State Parkway, I-195, Rt 88, RT 35 and Rt 70. If interested, the Bay Head train station is also a short distance away (0.3 miles) - take it to NYC or Asbury Park for the day and be back in the evening. Non-Smoking Home.

This classic Bay Head home is comfortable yet quaint, with a nautical vibe! The combination of both old and new will make your stay a comfortable but unique beach experience. A short walk to the life-guarded Johnson Ave. beach entrance on the east side of Main Avenue, the house is also walkable to the commuter train and shops/restaurants in town - Mueller's Bakery, Charlies of Bay Head, Burke's Market, Theresa's restaurant, etc.

The large living room has two distinct seating areas - one to watch the large SMART TV above the fireplace and a cozy nook for reading and relaxing.

The dining room has a large Restoration Hardware trestle table which seats 8 comfortably.

The kitchen boasts custom wood cabinetry, stone counters, large farmhouse sink, Viking range/stove and Sub Zero refrigerator. The adjacent butler's pantry has an additional farmhouse sink and two brand new Fisher Pykel drawer style dishwashers.

The enclosed side porch has a pull out queen couch, wonderful sunlight, desk and reading area - with its own SMART TV. This can be a great play area for kids or remote office/work space.

The upstairs has four bedrooms - two with twin beds and two with queen beds. There are two updated white tile bathrooms - one upstairs with tub, and one downstairs with large walk in shower.

The house has two zone central air and ceiling fans in all main rooms - including two on outdoor front porch. The private backyard has a nicely landscaped grassy area and large deck with dining table and umbrella for outdoor eating - close to the gas grill. And of course, there is a convenient outdoor shower for beach clean-ups!

All linens and towels for indoor use are included. You only need to bring your beach towels!

There is off street parking and a 2 car detached garage with driveway parking for 3 cars. Beach chairs, beach wagon, umbrella and other beach gear provided. 6 beach badges also provided during the summer season.

This spacious, light-filled, serene and uncluttered, cedar-shingled, classic "Bay Header" is located in the heart of Bay Head. Walking distance to everything Bay Head has to offer, it's a great house for a multi generation family; Grandparents, parents, teenagers, babies - there is something for everyone! (we realize our 4-legged friends are part of the family but please know that our No-Pet policy is firm)

The Bridge Ave beach is a quick two block walk away which is especially handy with young children, or when the weather suddenly turns.

Mueller's Bakery, Taylor Sam’s (formerly Dune Grass Cafe). Twilight Lake, the Cheese & Wine Shop, Burke’s Market, restaurants, shops, pickle ball/tennis courts, kids’ playground - they are all right there.

The NJ Transit train station with service to NYC is a just on the other side of the lake, a short walk away.

The main floor has wonderful communal space with an open floor plan with Dining/Living Room, eat-in Kitchen, and half bath.

Doors at either end of the house open onto the wrap-around porch which offers great people watching, rain or shine.

The Kitchen slider opens onto a separate porch which has an outdoor shower, a lovely view of the channel and the sunset.

The only lawn is what you see in the picture, it is now fenced in.

The second floor has plenty of privacy with three full bathrooms and five bedrooms (1 King, 1 Queen, 1 Full, and 2 bedrooms with 2 Twin beds each)

Guests must bring their own bedding (sheets, blankets, bedspreads) and towels (bath and beach). We provide bed pillows (if you’d rather not bring bedding and towels from home there are companies on-line who will deliver and pick-up)

The house has no laundry facilities but complimentary "Wash & Fold" laundry service is provided which includes pickup and delivery, often the same day.

We have 2-zone Central AC plus ceiling fans in every bedroom. Utilities, wireless internet and Cable TV are included, as well as 6 beach badges (required for 12 years and older)

We have a 7-night minimum from Memorial Day thru Labor Day. Multi-week, and monthly stays are welcome.

The unit occupies the entire third floor of the house without sharing any walls with other units. A lovely 3-story beach-front home, newly rebuilt after hurricane Sandy, keeps the original charm of the Bay Head homes built a century ago. The house features beds for 11, a gourmet kitchen, high-speed WiFi, and is just a two-minute walk to the beach entrance.

DESCRIPTION

The main floor features a beautiful enclosed porch with views of the beach, a large family room, gourmet kitchen, and adjoining dining room for family meals and activities. The large family room has plenty of comfortable seating, a 50” TV with surround sound, an Apple TV, and Xfinity cable. Outside you'll find wrap-around decks with plenty of lounge furniture, a large gas grill, and a heated, enclosed shower for cleaning off after spending the day on the beach.

The second and third floors have beds for 11, along with more lounge space, expansive views of the beach, and air mattresses (sleeping an additional five people in three twins and a queen). The second floor has four bedrooms and two full bathrooms; the third floor has one bedroom and one full bath.

The private Bay Head beach expanse is clean with designated swimming areas, patrolled by City of Bay Head lifeguards. Enjoy swimming, surfing, occasional pick-up volleyball games, and evening walks.

THE NEIGHBORHOOD

Activities in the immediate area include the famous downtown Bay Head bakery, post-office, and boutique shopping area – small, but complete. Gourmet restaurants, ice cream, a boardwalk, and amusement park are just minutes away in Point Pleasant. Full grocery and shopping centers are within 5 miles of the rental location. Should you wish to visit New York City during your stay, a commuter train is just a 10-minute walk and will drop you in Penn Station. Uber is also available in the town of Bay Head should you wish to travel here without a car.

Should RESIDENT express a need to terminate their booking prior to taking possession of the property for the rental period, deposit monies will be refundable according to the following schedule, but will not exceed monies which we have received through VRBO's payment disbursements to us:
1. If notice is given more than 7 weeks before occupancy, the cancellation fee will be 25% of the rental contract.
2. Otherwise the cancellation fee will be 50% of the rental contract.
3. In either case, a good-faith search by the AGENT will be conducted and if it results in a suitable replacement RESIDENT for the period, then rental fees will be refunded to a maximum of 90% of the rental fee.

Enjoy a morning of beach yoga a few blocks away on Howe Street, or go for a run or ride one of the 6 cruiser bikes provided with house with the locals on the 1.5 mile stretch of East Ave. Next, take a short walk to Mueller's award winning bakery for breakfast. In the afternoon, relax poolside while still being close enough to hear the ocean’s waves, or take a short drive to one of the many boutiques in town or the surrounding areas. Happy hour can be enjoyed playing classic yard games or lounging on the shaded deck overlooking the pool. Bay Head is well populated with a variety of restaurants. However, if one is looking for a more casual dinner experience, we recommend a submarine sandwich from the original Mike's Subs location in Point Pleasant. After dinner, families can enjoy Jenkinson’s Family Boardwalk for arcade games and rides for all ages. If one is hoping for a quiet night in, the living room features a 65 inch flat screen and comfortable seating. Additional TV and seating is available in the library on the second floor. Fireworks can be viewed from the beach in front of the house on Thursday nights around 9pm.

The house also had a good amount of baby proofing between a gate on the front porch and the pool cover so it helped put our mind at ease that the 2 year old couldn't run off and get into trouble. The bathrooms and all of the kitchen appliances are recently updated and the rooms are all good sizes. We loved eating dinner out on the front porch and hanging out in the various outdoor seating areas in the back yard. The owners of the house are extremely friendly and easy going and helpful with anything you may need. They provide any amenity you would want like bath/beach towels (softest bath towels I've ever experienced), beach chairs and bikes, paper towels and toilet paper and even family size shampoo, conditioner and body wash in every bathroom. The beach is so close but one thing that was sad was the town doesn't allow food/drinks on the beach and we would have loved to eat lunch down there and spend more time there but honestly with the backyard pool/hot tub we didn't even mind as we didn't want to leave! The restaurants and bakery in walking distance are really nice. We walked to the bakery daily and had a nice dinner at Charlies around the block. Less than 2 miles from the house is a really cute town with lots of stores and restaurants, supermarket and CVS/Walgreens so everything you would need is right there. We really had such an amazing time at this house and were so sad to leave."

Bay Head is an upscale seaside community which is family friendly and very safe. There are plenty of recreational activities within walking distance of the property such as beach going, kayaking, fishing, boating, crabbing, biking, walking, jogging, roller skating, nature walks and more.

Beautiful house with upscale furnishings. Decorated tastefully, with all the amenities supplied for your comfort and enjoyment. If you like staying at The Ritz Carlton or Four Seasons then this the house for you. There is a Game room in the basement that leads to the outdoor covered patio where you are invited to to the pool/spa, outdoor kitchen and bar and outdoor shower. There is an outdoor TV that is viewable while sitting in the spa part of the pool. Enjoy a cocktail with your friends in the hot tub while watching the game on a beautiful day. If it gets too hot, take retreat under the covered patio out of the sun. The beach is a short two minute walk away. The town area is close by where you can enjoy restaurants shops and eateries. Great for family reunions and get togethers.

We have recently updated the entire home. The five bedroom home has tremendous natural light, a renovated kitchen, three full baths, an outdoor shower, a large family room and an outdoor deck that easily sits eight for dinner. The home is fully air conditioned and sits on a quiet street just a few blocks from the center of town. We include 6 beach badges with the rental.
The house sleeps 9 people comfortably and is perfect to share with another family because there are 2 master bedrooms.

Egbert St. is a guarded beach during the summer. It's a short walk to the ocean.
Mueller's Bakery, Burke's Market, The Dune Grass Cafe and the Noon Gallery and Coffee Shop are a quick bike ride from the house.

After spending the day relaxing at one of the many beautiful Bay Head beaches, drop the bikes, included with the house, off in our spacious enclosed backyard, cool off in the outdoor shower and get ready for a competitive match of ping pong. We have many other yard games, including corn hole and croquet. Or just relax in a double wide hammock. Built for outdoor living, you can enjoy a festive family and friends’ dinner under our covered patio with a dining table that seats 8-10, a ceiling fan to keep cool with a Weber gas grill in top shape, your first full tank of propane is included.

Step inside, the first floor of this home includes an open floor plan with a fully renovated kitchen, Viking stove, Bosh DW, Frigidaire French-door refrigerator and wine refrigerator. This is a cook’s kitchen with plenty of glassware, every small kitchen appliance imaginable, including Nespresso, ice cream maker, blender, etc. Comes with utensils/plating service for 12+, the pantry has spices, oils and the basics and our reclaimed farm table seats 10. Après-dinner, there is plenty of room for everyone to sprawl out in our Sunroom on our long double couches with a Smart TV (comes w our Netflix acct, Apple TV), Xbox, DVD, lots of movies, puzzles and games. Or slip away to the living room for a little quiet time, which also comes with a Smart TV of its own. Our house is wired for cable and wireless internet access. The laundry room comes with a new washer/dryer set, to your clothing clean and fresh.

Time to call it a night. The first floor has a guest room with a Queen bed and attached updated bathroom. Upstairs, there is the oversized master bedroom with a Queen bed and its own sleeper sofa and attached outdoor lounging deck. The 3rd bedroom has two extra-long twin beds that can be made into a queen plus two additional twin trundle beds against the opposite wall. Can sleep 4 comfortably, there are blow up beds just in case an extra guest stays over. Each bedroom comes with its’ own air conditioner and ceiling fans for those cooler nights that the AC isn’t needed.

There is plenty of parking on the street, or if preferred for two cars on our driveway inside the back-yard gate. 4 beach badges are included, tons of beach towel, two kayaks, 2 paddle boards, 2 beginner surfboards and multiple bicycles. Bring nothing but the need to be replenished by being by the Jersey shore.

We are renting 2024, starting June 4 through June 30th and then August 10, through end of Labor Day. Bay Head only allows weekly rentals. All rates include utilities. Weekly cleaning ($150) is required and is not included. Damage insurance is required and available through HomeAway.
