Everything is within walking distance to our house - beach, train, town, playgrounds, tennis courts, ice-cream parlors, etc. The people of Spring Lake - residents and vacationers - are friendly and courteous. The stores are charming and sophisticated. The beaches are clean, the waves are great. The playground is great for kids of all ages and is well shaded for the hot summer months. It's hard to imagine a more pleasant place to spend some family time together.

It really gave us a lot of freedom to do the things we wanted to, including a quick train trip to NYC for a show. The house layout was great and the backyard was relatively private and well-landscaped. The use of the beach/pool passes was fantastic - the kids really enjoyed the pool. We had a few issues on the trip which were quickly resolved, when possible, by the owner. The house does need some minor maintenance, but it was late in the summer and I know with a steady stream of renters, it's hard to get in to do those things. The bathroom shower doors could use a good scrub as well. But in general, it was a nice house and we had a restful stay."
