This adorable beach cottage was recently totally renovated! All NEW- kitchen, floors, furniture, and freshly painted. We have designed this home for our family, so we made the decisions for our renovations with high end choices in mind. The home has 2 bedrooms, one queen and one with a twin and bunk bed. The home sleeps 5 very comfortably and has plenty of storage. There is a full-sized bathroom with tub. The kitchen is very well equipped with serving for 12, full sized appliances, and granite countertops. A kitchen table that seats 6. A full size front loading washer and dryer is located in the home as well. There is a side deck with lots of seating to enjoy dinner outside, a natural gas grill, and an enclosed outside shower. Our home also has central air conditioning and baseboard heating.

Bed Linens, bath towels, beach towels, beach chairs, and a wagon and beach toys are included for your convenience.

A short walk in either direction is the Monterey Beach Ocean and the Monterey Beach Bay Park. The ocean is very family friendly and protected by lifeguards during the summer season. It is a private beach to our community and a badge will be required and will be provided to you and your guests ( This is a $90 fee that I have already included in your rental cost). 8 badges will be available to you during your stay. Depending on which week you are here, there may even be some family festivities planned by our community.

The bay beach is a great way to spend the early morning and evening hours with the children or when the beach is a little too cold- it may be just right at the bay. We have swings, a jungle gym, and places to explore looking for fish and crabs. Bike riding the Bay Blvd in Lavallette and the ocean boardwalk before 10am is also a great activity. We have some local restaurants, bakeries, surf shops, and ice cream palors all within walking distance. You can also take a quick bike or car ride into Lavallette to explore even more.

Other attractions and areas that you can enjoy by a 10-15 min car ride is the Point Pleasant Boardwalk and Rides, Jenkinsons Aquarium, Chadwick Miniature Golf, Seaside Boardwalk and Rides, Breakwater Beach Water Park, Barnacle Bills Arcade, and Island Beach State Park.

Nice little deck in the back with a surprising breeze to relax on after the beach. The AC worked great, the shower stayed hot through multiple people using it, and there was a washing machine (no dryer but there were hanging lines outside for drying items) The house is a very short walk to the private (!) beach. We had a double stroller, two little ones, and all the beach stuff, and it was still only a 5 minute walk! There are boogie boards, sand toys, an umbrella, and beach chairs provided to use. The only things I would love to see added are one of those beach carts to haul everything and a beach blanket. We had a wonderful family vacation here, it was everything we hoped for and more — we will definitely be back!"

Beach rental flag (which allows you to stay on the private beach) costs approximately $200 per week along with a refundable $25 security deposit.
