A single-family home located one block away from the bay or beach at the quiet end of LBI. Enjoy a walk through the beautiful dunes to the beach. It takes about 9 minutes to walk from door to beach depending on your walking speed of course. This fully furnished house is family ready and sleeps at least twelve comfortably. There are two bedrooms, a full bathroom, and a living room on the first floor as well as three bedrooms, a full bathroom, kitchen, and living room on the second/third floor.

Viking Village, a collection of boutiques, coffee shop, fish market, and fishing fleet, is a just a few blocks away. The Historic Barnegat Lighthouse, mini-golf, bars, restaurants, delis, and ice cream shops are all within a short walk. And don't forget the LBI shuttle to get up and down the entire island.

After a relaxing day on the beach or boat and come home to more relaxation on 2 private decks as you enjoy a glass of wine and evening breezes or maybe catch a Monday evening concert at the gazebo by the Coast Guard station.

With a large dune separating the home from neighboring homes, this home provides guests with privacy rarely available on LBI. Guests can take nature walks to the ocean or inlet through Barnegat Light’s beautiful beach or take advantage of the tram, which picks up guests in front of the home during the summer months and quickly shuttles them down to a life guarded beach. Guests can either relax in the serenity and privacy of the property or take advantage of the many activities the home’s location provides, such as great surf fishing, surfing, and bird watching to name a few.

Dog Park The ball field on West 10 Street is also a Dog Park. It’s a great place for dogs to run free and play. All dog park users MUST obtain a dog park gate entry card (“Paw Pass”) & a dog park tag. The weekly fee is $10. Applications for the passes can be obtained at Borough Hall, the Beach Badge Booth (in season) or on the Borough website. Proof of rabies must be shown, either with a rabies certificate or a current dog license. Also, all dogs must be friendly & non-aggressive.

This bay-side beauty is conveniently located in the heart of Barnegat Light, a block away from the beach. It sits on a large lot with a private backyard that is perfect for enjoying a private beach getaway or entertaining friends and family. We've owned this property for 15 years and rented our former house. Reviews before 2025 are about the prior house but same owner. This NEW house was built in 2025!

The house is situated a few blocks from Viking Village where you will find ice cream, coffee, a fresh fish store and plenty of island shopping. Walk in the other direction and you will find a playground, tennis courts, the Light House and plenty of restaurants to enjoy brunch or dinner if you don't want to cook at home. After a day at the beach you can wash off in the outdoor showers. Finally, you can avoid Saturday traffic with Friday to Friday rentals.

This is a 5 bedroom, 5 bath house! This house has four bedrooms on the first floor, two with attached bathrooms. There is also a full bathroom on this floor for the other two bedrooms to share. This floor includes a living area with a TV, washer/dryer, and a dry bar. Three of the bedrooms have sliders that open up to decks (one on the front side of the house and two on the back side).

The second floor has a great room with expansive views of the bay. This area includes a large kitchen, living room, and dining room with plenty of natural light. There is a wine fridge, state of the art appliances, and a gas grill. The large master bedroom with attached bathroom are also on this floor.

For those of you looking to work while you are staying at the house, two of the rooms are equipped with desks.

There are three large decks. The large deck expanding from the main floor has beautiful views of the bay, a large Weber grill, and a covered outdoor dining space to enjoy your meals outdoors!

There is a deck below it and another large deck on the backside of the house overlooking a large backyard with plenty of room for children to play.

Fantastic decks! Loved the top deck at night sitting under the stars! And the deck below it is even larger! (Kids LOVED the spiral staircase between decks!) Used the grill - clean and worked great! Kids and dogs enjoyed the big backyard to run around in! Nice clear space, all stone but smooth enough my kids ran around it barefoot the whole time. Very private setting! Quiet area. Really nice street. Met several very friendly neighbors walking to and from the beach - lots of residents. Beaches were definitely quiet on weekdays and only slightly more people on weekends (there during beginning of peak summer). Gorgeous walk out to the beach! The pines and dunes are really unique and beautiful in this area, very different from the rest of the island (we’ve stayed in almost every part). My kids really enjoyed our beach as well as the surrounding beaches on either side. Our beach was a little more narrow at high tide (but wide enough…we still left our stuff there all day), but the next beach to the south is so close and much wider, and the beaches just to the north are also wider, and then open up for fishing, and then run into the rock jetties (that are mostly gone from the rest of the island now aside from at the 2 ends). Great shopping all around, all walking distance too! Such a fantastic place! Thank you Meghan for your hospitality! Will definitely return!"

But the firehouse alarm next door did go off at least a couple of times every day while we were there (August). This house has it all!! This upgraded reversed living vacation home is located on the ocean block in Barnegat Light, New Jersey. A new kitchen and new bathrooms highlight the upgrades. This year a new master bath has been added. This brightly colored, lavish bathroom boasts a new double sink with Corian counter top and an oversized shower with an accent waterfall. Enjoy the sunsets from any of the three decks along with ocean and bay views. This house is situated on the beach block where a small boardwalk leads you to the sand.

Because the home is designed as reversed living, you enter the front door and walk up the steps to find yourself on the first floor where the three bedrooms, den, laundry room and large bathroom are located. There are two bedrooms with 2 twin beds in each one and a third bedroom with a queen size bed. A newly upgraded full bath, laundry room and den with private deck complete the floor plan on that level.

Continuing the walkup, the second floor plan is open and the high ceilings in the living room/dining room/kitchen area create an open and airy feel. A large deck with BBQ grill is directly off the kitchen. A spiral staircase off the kitchen decking will take you up to a fiberglass deck that provides breathtaking views. The recently renovated Master Bedroom and Bath suite with queen bed is also on this level. Finally this top level has an additional half bath.

The custom kitchen is very well-equipped making it easy to prepare family meals. After an active beach day, enjoy the outdoor shower located in the rear of the property. Amenities include Central Air, Dish Washer, flat screen Smart TV and Wifi.
Convenient tractor-tram helps families get to the ocean. The short boardwalk at the end of the block connects to the tram. It's a great convenience for elderly persons or young families with children. It runs about every 20 minutes from 10 am until 5 pm with a one hour interruption from 1-2 for the driver's lunch.

Specialized sand wheel chairs are available to rent from the town. The Municipal offices are on 8th street where you can get updated events going on in town. Additional beach badges can be purchased on 10th St. adjacent to the tennis courts. The sunsets from the large decking off the kitchen are incredible. The nights are magic.

Easy walk to the beach, roof deck with great views, couches made for flopping. The photos don’t do it justice. All bedrooms (and beds) are comfy. The upstairs master is huge with its own full bathroom and a delightful little powder table. I believe the description on VRBO mentions that the bed in this room is a full. It isn’t – it’s a queen. The kitchen/dining/living area is wide open, airy and just lovely. The three decks are excellent and I’m a deck guy so my standards are high. The lower deck is cozy and shaded and perfect for reading a good book or a trashy novel. The main deck on the upper level is huge, with a grill, round glass table, and plenty of room to boot. Up a sturdy spiral staircase is the roof deck made for stargazing. I think we saw about a dozen shooting stars up there. Magical. The outside shower is nice and spacious though it could use some ventilation, like a little space between the walls and the roof. But it serves its purpose nicely. Here are a few things that we forgot to bring but you should not: hand towels for bathrooms and kitchen, plus extra towels to use as bathroom rugs. There are a couple of frying pans and a nice big lobstah pot, but if you plan to do any serious cooking or baking you might want to bring your own sauce pot or baking pan/dish. The owner hires a cleaning crew to do an extra thorough, deep & disinfecting cleanse between tenants, which was much appreciated and helped put our minds at ease. THE LOCATION This was my first time staying in Barnegat Light (I had been a Beach Haven loyalist until this year) and now I want to move there. Trees. Friendly folks. Just the right amount of small, local businesses. Daily bike rides along the bayside were just what the doctor ordered. For one magical week, I was in the best shape of my life. The ninth street lifeguard stand is the last on the island. Keep walking north and the beach becomes more and more secluded, more and more relaxing. After a few blocks you’ll be at the inlet jetty, with giant jigsaw puzzle rocks that are perfect for clambering, scampering and exploring. THE HOST She’s welcoming, kind, gracious, and communicative. A delight to work with. We hope to stay at this practically perfect house again. "

Return to the beach for the later afternoon hours, but don't forget to come back for a quick rinse in the open air shower so you're ready to watch the sun set on the side deck. Then marvel at the light of the moon glistening on the ocean with the sound of waves crashing in the background.

We are a block from the beach. You can take the Barnegat Light Beach Tram to and from the beach. Just walk, drive or ride your bike to the end of 7th Street, walk over the dune and sit at the park bench. The tram picks up beachgoers on each street end, on the beach and takes them to the lifeguarded area between 9th St. & 10th St. The tram stops approxiamtely every 10 minutes. It operates the same hours as the lifeguards, 10:00am to 5:00pm, it does not operate from 1:00pm to 2:00pm when the driver has lunch. Last pick-up to leave the beach is around 5:00pm. The tram is free, however all passengers (over 11 years-old) must have a current beach badge. Load up the kids and your beach goodies. When you want to return to the house from the beach, simply wait at the park benches at the beach, the Barnegat Light Beach Tram will take you back to 7th Street. Also, you can drive to 29th or 30th Street and park on street and walk the short distance there. There is also a guarded children's bay beach on 25th Street if desired.

New!!!! Take the LBI Shuttle from Barnegat Light to Holgate. Leave your vehicles behind and go anywhere on LBI via the shuttle.
