The original cottage has been incorporated into the new residence, which is separate to Studio Rouge. The accommodation is recently built . The kitchen utensils can be found in the kitchen drawers and large wooden kitchen cupboard. The living space faces north and all windows are double glazed. We also have a selection of fruit trees and bees to do the pollinating. If you want to try your luck at catching yabbies there are some nets for you to use just ask me for a few tips. Walk to Cecil Hoskins reserve and maybe spot a pelican or platypus. Go for a bike ride to Bowral along a dedicated bike path. After dark use your torch to go possum and rabbit spotting.

We are close to Moss Vale only 4km or Bowral 7km. Plenty of great places to eat plus wineries galleries and antique shops all close by. At night enjoy the fire with a glass of red wine. When available enjoy our garden produce and fresh eggs from Henrietta and Emily.
In November we should start to see some newly born baby goats playing in the paddocks really cute.

Suitable for children they can ride their bikes around the property in complete safety.

Our Cottage, which was built over One Hundred Years ago is both intimate and elegant having recently been fully renovated and painted both inside and outside featuring a gas fire, new ducted air conditioning, new large smart TV, new lounges, heated towel rail, a Master Bedroom with its’ new King Bed that can be split into Two Single Beds and a Second Bedroom with its’ new Queen Bed together with a beautiful garden space to sit in fronting the road through a garden and a white picket fence and a rear deck on which to quietly enjoy our beautiful Southern Highlands weather.

The whole Cottage, which looks like something out of a magazine including all of the comforts of home, is yours to escape to & enjoy.

We can split our King Bed in the Master Bedroom into Singles. We cannot split the Queen Bed in our Second Bedroom. Please let us know at the time of booking if you would like the King Bed split.

All beds are fitted with electric blankets for the cooler nights.

Applecreekhouse is situated on a secluded five acres adjacent to the Wingecarribee river. It is one kilometre from Berrima village centre which can be reached by walking along the river

Wildlife abounds

Kangaroos regularly thump through the property and if you hear a bang on your bedroom at night it will probably be a wombat . The birdlife is prolific and includes crimson parrots, cockatoos, king parrots and kookaburras. In the evening platypus can usually be seen in the river

Weekdays I would walk around the corner to The Corner Store on Park road and grab coffees and baked sweet and savoury treats including Moonacre bread from the friendly owner and on the weekend, I would walk in the other direction to Rush coffee for my coffee and treat fix. Such a lovely town and we will hopefully return to explore further and enjoy the comforts of Kilmeedy again."

The Stables is located within the surrounds of an established horse riding property, 5 minutes from Moss Vale. The country cottage has only recently been renovated comprising 2 bedroom, 2 bathrooms, fully equipped kitchen, dining room, lounge and paved courtyard. All set amongst beautifully manicured gardens. Not to mention home to over 80 horses and an active riding school that caters for horse enthusiasts from any age. For those cooler nights guests can snuggle up in front of an open fire or sit around the outdoor fire pit and gaze at the Milky Way.

Guests can freely wander around the many laneways or sit by the lake and watch the sun set sipping on a refreshing gin and tonic or a cold beer.

If you have friends or extended family wishing to holiday with you we also offer ‘The Tin Shed’ a converted milking shed - 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom This is a unique cabin with high end finishes to make your stay so very relaxing.
For larger groups we also have 3 beautiful 1 bedroom Hideouts scattered around the property. In total we can accommodate 12 guests ; all enjoying their own private accommodation and yet being able to sit around the fire pit together to share a drink; dinner or watch the sun go down after a farm ride around the property. Visit the multitude of local wineries including Mt Ashby, St Maurs, Artemis. Centennial and Dawning Day or take a drive to Kangaroo Valley and paddle a canoe up the Shoalhaven River.

Mountain bikers can head into the Meryla State Forest just 5 minutes away and explore the many trails through the bush or take a swim in the picturesque Meryla water hole.
