- "The cabin is located in the middle of woods and is quite secluded. It had most of the necessities for a quick stay. However, the place was quite small and the bathroom was tiny and stuffy. My husband who is 6 ft could not get in to the bathroom without bending down. There was a fire pit but no fire. Fridge and the toaster oven was not clean. There was a bag of garbage and empty beer bottle thrown on the front yard" - "Overall we were disappointed with our stay. This cabin is a great location as a home base for many adventures and interesting sites. Located 1/2-hour from all the attractions in Amish Country, and the same to Canton and the Pro Football Hall of Fame, First Ladies Museum, McKinley Museum, great restaurants, etc. Atwood Lake East Marina is 0.8 miles from the cabin, with boat and pontoon rentals. In winter, cross-country skiers can go back-and-forth on about 12 acres of open land, or if you are a hiker, there are 43 acres with a open paths, plus another 40-acres of public wooded land that abuts my property.
Live theater is available within a 90-minute drive in Cleveland and Pgh as well as professional sports there.
Those wishing to do none of the above, to just decompress for a few days or a week will find this ideal. Very peaceful, scenic, bucolic setting. You truly can do as much or as little as you want. Picture yourself sitting on the deck, glass of wine in hand, watching a beautiful Carroll County sunset, or watching the flames dance over the outdoor fire pit, which will be lit and waiting for your arrival.

Master bedroom has queen Temperpedic bed, Full bed in second BR and 2 singles on first floor. Town is 10 - 15 minute drive. Quiet and Serene - Great place to get away from it all, but cell service isn't good except for Verizon. Small beach for association - no lifeguard, 1 hour 20-40 minutes from East side of Cleveland. 2 hours from West side of Cleveland. 2 hours from Columbus and Pittsburg as well! New Deck in front of house July 2017 - aluminum tables and chairs on deck, also there are 6 folding camp chairs for fire pit stored under stairs, 3 hanging chairs, a two person hammock and 4 zero gravity chairs. Price is for 4 people. Additional price $25 per person per night - MAXIMUM 6 people.

House is on the lake road on the non-lake side, but is beautifully situated in the trees on a hill. DRIVEWAY IS ON KNOLLWOOD, ONE STREET BEFORE ROCKWOOD DRIVE. ADDRESS IS ON BACK OF HOUSE AS WELL AS FRONT. Reflectors with 3622 address on poles on driveway on KNOLLWOOD.

Please be advised that house is on a hill which may be an issue for the elderly when walking to street below house. The grass on the hill may be slippery when wet. No Dogs/Pets. Mostly Verizon service works in house and on parts of lake.

The Owner and RPOA make no representations or warranties regarding the roads, the beach, the docks, the water or electrical supply, or security. The dock is only for the use of members of the RPOA. THE KEY MUST BE PUT BACK IN THE LOCKBOX ONLY - if the Owner has to drive to the house there is a $120 trip charge as he is located approx. 2 hours away from the house.

The cabin has 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, a full kitchen, dining room, large living room and a downstairs rec room that is connected by a spiral staircase. This spacious cabin is certain to create a fun filled weekend with life long memories.

WiFi is available in the cabin for our guests . Simple to log into your device or log into the smart tv to stream from your Hulu or Netflix account to enjoy a movie marathon or listen to pandora while making dinner.

We welcome families which includes your well mannered house broke pets with no additional pet fee! Due to the spiral stairs the cabin is not suitable for young or unattended children.

The cabin was fully renovated in April of 2023 and features a brand new kitchen with stainless steel appliances, butcher block counters, stainless cookware, dishes, utensils and small appliances as well as a kitchen and 2 stone fireplaces.

This spacious home has 2 separate bedrooms, with 3 Queen Zinus memory foam beds that sleeps 6 guests. The open concept kitchen/ living room has 2 couches for additional sleep space. We feel 6 guest is standard however more could be possible if utilizing the 2 couches or 2 futons

The Full bathroom is complete with a bath/shower, double sink and toilet along with shampoo, conditioner, soap, towels, wash clothes, hair dryer, flat iron, curling iron and a steamer to make getting ready a breeze!

Staying for a extended family vacation? No need to pack extra, we have a first floor HE front load washer and dryer.

The dual decks and patios allow for outdoor relaxation in Adirondack chairs. Listen to the birds, gaze at the stars or just sip your coffee while reading a book. During the fall and winter you do have a limited lake view from the upper deck.

Looking forward to cooking outdoors? We offer a flattop black stone grill, propane and grilling utensils to make all of your favorite grill items!

We offer a small library of Books and games for the whole family just in case the weather turns.

We do have a High Focus On Cleanliness of the home and deep clean after each guest. We expect the guests to be respectful of the property and lake return it in the same condition as they found it.

The cabin is in a dock landing and therefore does have neighbors close by and is not secluded. Neighboring cabins are not included in the photos to maintain our neighbors privacy. Please be respectful of others property and your volume.

We provided turn by turn directions prior to checkin. The roads to the cabin are steep so a 4wheel drive could be helpful if your traveling in inclement weather such as snow. All roads are paved except a few short gravel roads leading to our cabin.your

No outside gas-powered boats are permitted.

The loft is designed for 4 guests, but can possibly accommodate up to 6 people. There are 2 futon couches suitable for children or smaller adults that can be slept on in the unit. Please contact us if there are more than 4 people in your party.

There is a 100 foot elevation change up and down to reach the loft. 4WD or AWD are needed if snow or ice is present.

Please note the the owners may need to access the garage below the loft. Guests may be asked to move their vehicles.

Guest access
The loft is private and inviting, but is not small-child friendly due to the open stairs and patio railings. Guests must be able to walk up a flight of stairs. Please use the lake! Rules and safety information located in the loft.

The lake is lowered mid-November thru spring. Access is limited during that period and no pontoon boat or water-skiing is available.

We highly recommend using the dedicated hiking trails available at the nearby Mount Union Nature Center. Guests are welcome to walk the drive.

As a private lake, there is limited access and boat traffic. Guests do not have exclusive use of the lake and property, but do have their own private beach.

This is a no smoking property. Guests that smoke inside will incur a minimum $100 cleaning charge. Guests may smoke outside on the ground level, away from the propane tanks, and must pick up all cigarette butts.

Per house rules, all guests are required to sign a liability waiver upon arrival.

The garage located below the loft may be used by the owners occasionally.

The dedicated beach area is adjacent to a beach used by other property owners. Other people might be present. Please do not assume that the beach will be vacant. Respect the area marked for other property owners' use (see sign located on the storage container located on the right side of the beach facing the water). The small kitchen is fully functional, with 2 burner electric cooktop, a combination microwave/convection oven, compact refrigerator, toaster oven, coffee maker and dishwasher. There is no full size traditional oven. Charcoal grill available.

Twin beds can easily be pushed together. Wood burner for use with temperatures below 50 degrees Fahrenheit for a cozy winter stay . Please bring your own wood.

The beach is a shared space, so there is a good chance that other (very friendly!) people will be present. Please take a moment to view the signs visible from the road regarding where your designated area is located. The beach, docks, and pontoon boat closest to the cottage are NOT for guest use. Refer to the map in the unit.

We suggest utilizing the Mount Union nature center close by, which has dedicated hiking trails. Guests are welcome to walk on the drive.

Keep your eyes open for deer, hawks, eagle and other wildlife. The catch and release fishing is amazing! Bring wood and enjoy a fire in the fire pit beside the beach. Camping chairs and beach towels are provided, along with coffee, oatmeal and breakfast bars. Smart TVs available for use with your subscriptions (Netflix, Hulu, etc.). Internet can be marginal at times, but Verizon and AT&T work well. Also, note that this is a rural property, so do not walk alone outside after dark. Standard wildlife is present.
