After entering the entrance area, you will first find a fully equipped dining kitchen (16m²) on the ground floor. From there you reach the hall with guest toilet and the stairs to the upstairs bathroom and two bedrooms.

Also adjacent to the kitchen: the spacious living area of 22,5m² with a slate floor, underfloor heating and a wood-burning stove. Garden doors and high windows offer a view of a varied green decor: a deep garden with adjoining forest.

Sliding louvre panels separate the living room from a bedroom (12m²) with adjoining bathroom. The two single beds in this fully paneled room can be folded up in a cupboard wall. This creates an atmospheric and intimate office or Zendo with a floor space of just under 8².

On the first floor you will find another two bedrooms, each with two single beds (200 x 90, Auping/tilting spiral), sink, a writing desk and more than enough cupboard space. On the landing adjacent to the bedrooms you will find a very spacious bathroom with a toilet, sink and walk-in shower. The second bedroom gives access to a double infrared sauna with full spectrum radiators. Recreationally relaxing, but also great for those who want to relieve muscle pain or rheumatic complaints.

Walking, cycling, reading, writing, making music, cooking or quietly staring outside... More than a holiday home, this villa on the coast is a home for all seasons. The ideal place for lovers of nature and space. So with that unusually beautiful location: in the North Holland Dune Reserve, in the yard of an ancient dune farm. Once installed you can walk or cycle here for days without having to see another car. “An intimate mansion in the countryside,” one guest called it. .

The garden, facing south, is 14 meters wide and 40 (!) meters deep. With a free location on the east and south side, separated from trees and forest by only a ditch, on the west side separated from the garden of the adjoining main house by a strip of branches and willow fencing. You can park your car at the entrance of the dune reserve, a four-minute walk from the house.

Green, green and again: green. Duinvilla Het Janhuis is surrounded by a number of gardens, bordering meadows and woods. This gives you the feeling of being away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Extra special is the location in a protected nature reserve: the North Holland Dune Reserve. This beautiful nature park is about 5,300 hectares in size, making it one of the largest contiguous nature areas in our country. It is about 20 kilometers long, an average of 2.5 kilometers wide and stretches from the village of Wijk aan Zee to the Schoorlse Duinen. Every kilometer in the area is different, with specific plant and animal species.

In Castricum you will find everything for an ideal holiday. Castricum has its own station and cities such as Amsterdam, Haarlem and Alkmaar can also be reached quickly by car.

And what do you do when you wake up in the morning and another beautiful beach day stretches out in front of you? Then you grab the bike and paddle to the sandy beach of Bakkum, which is just a bit quieter (no pavilions) than that of the other seaside resorts. There you can easily last all day with a booklet and the surf. In the evening you move to the beach of Castricum aan Zee and sit down on a terrace of one of the beach pavilions that are again plentiful there.

The apartment is located on the outskirts of the village of Castricum. Castricum has a cozy center with various shops, supermarkets and many restaurants. Castricum is located on and in the dune reserve North Holland and near the coast. You are in 10 minutes on the beach and dunes. A nice area for walking and cycling. You can also visit the cheese market in Alkmaar, Haarlem or Amsterdam. The train station is a 5 minute walk away, there are frequent connections to the cities. A visit to the Amsterdam, 25 minutes and Zaanse Schans is also possible and recommended.

Deze lichte ruime en gezellig ingerichte kamer toont een aantal authentieke kleurdetails die tijdens de renovatie naar voren kwamen en heeft een stoer karakter. Mooi bedlinnen. Let op! De hoogte van de intieme dakpunt van deze slaapkamer is ongeveer 2 meter en zodoende minder geschikt voor de lange mens.

Slaapkamer B is gesitueerd aan de westzijde van het huis. Ook een licht en ruime kamer met een oppervlakte van 12 m2 met een nostalgische inrichting. Hierin bevinden zich 2 éénpersoons box springbedden van 80 x 200 of naar gelieve om te zetten in 1 tweepersoons box springbed mèt topmatras van 160 x 200. Gaarne even doorgeven bij u boeking welke bed opstelling u prefereert. Mooi bedlinnen.

Achter het huis bevindt zich een stukje afgegrensd terras met uitbundige bloemgroei waar u heerlijk van de rust en het zonnetje kunt genieten. De woning grenst aan de tuin van verhuurster, met hek omheind.

Het station is op 15 minuten lopen met regelmatig treinverkeer naar Amsterdam, Haarlem en Alkmaar, en binnen 20-30 minuten bereikbaar. Leuke toeristenplaatsjes in de buurt, zoals Egmond, Bergen, Schoorl etc.
De leuke (brocante) accessoires in mijn huis zijn tevens te koop. Mijn ruimte is bijzonder geschikt voor stellen en gezinnen met oudere kinderen (nl. geen kinderbeveiliging aanwezig).

Het Noord-Hollands Duinreservaat, het heerlijke strand, het Huis van Hilde, bioscoop, winkelcentrum op 1 km lopen. Een 7-tal restaurantjes op 200 m. loopafstand.

- "Liesbeth met us at the property, which is right by her house. That was convenient, in case we needed anything,. She greeted us with a friendly smile and what we needed to know about the place. The cottage had a washing machine, which we required after a few days in Amsterdam and a day of cycling to Liesbeth's property. The decor of the cottage was outstanding!! My daughter is a professional home stylist and I took so many pictures of the various spots in the home, because Liesbeth did an outstanding job decorating. I just had to show our daughter how lovely it all was. It was special to stay in such a clean, tidy, and pretty home. My husband and I rode our bikes to the sea, where we had a glass of wine on the beach, at a restaurant. It was one of the highlights of our stay. We both wished we could have settled into Liesbeth's cottage a little longer, because we loved it so. She made us feel very welcome and so did the cottage itself."
